Presidential Power

Often see blog posts making demands on Obama or accusing him of planning to do things. Senator Clinton started all that by preaching: he is just words and has no plans. People, mostly her followers, would say, they want to hear his plans, what is he going to do about thus and such, or they want details. It is silly to me, because presidents have limited power to do anything. Basically a president presides or directs the action. The best info I came up with about what the US president does is this:

The president's chief duty is to make sure that the laws are faithfully executed, and this duty is performed through an elaborate system of executive agencies that includes cabinet-level departments.
Presidents appoint all cabinet heads and most other high-ranking officials of the executive branch of the federal government.
They also nominate all judges of the federal judiciary, including the members of the Supreme Court.
Their appointments to executive and judicial posts must be approved by a majority of the Senate (one of the two chambers of Congress, the legislative branch of the federal government, the other being the House of Representatives).
The president is also the commander in chief of the country's military and has unlimited authority to direct the movements of land, sea, and air forces.
The president has the power to make treaties with foreign governments, though the Senate must approve such treaties by a two-thirds majority.
The president has the power to approve or reject (veto) bills passed by Congress, though Congress can override the president's veto by summoning a two-thirds majority in favour of the measure.
The president can also grant pardons.

Nowhere in that do I see that a president can provide universal health insurance, raise or lower taxes, or do much about the economy. Except perhaps in using more care when commanding the military. Did Bush and Cheney ask: can we afford to invade Iraq? Bush said "it would be easier if this were a dictatorship" and added, as long as he was the dictator. He had to have Congress approve the invansion.

Task Manager

My computer has a lot of memory and works fast. I am spoiled by the speed of the Internet. I have taken to keeping my Task Manager open to try and determine why my 'net experience slows down to a crawl and often freezes. That happened a lot when reading Obama '08 member community blogs.

It is hard to read the text on the bar "transferring date from Yield Manager" because the URL's or names flash so swiftly. The little hourglass wait symbol comes up as I wait. "Transferring data from Flicker" and "transferring data from "Photobucket" often whiz by as I sit staring at the screen unable to scroll or type.

A website is rather like a faucet. If there are a lot of people in the home and all turn on the hot water faucet at the same time, depending upon tank size the hot water is soon gone. Depending on the home, sometimes flushing a toilet will lower the water pressure at the kitchen sink. That is why this site often gets overwhelmed. Pulling images from other sites is like the decrease in water pressure. Everything else is like the size of the hot water tank, called memory or bandwidth.

As I watched that "transferring data from" I saw the spike in my Task Manager and available memory . I had wanted to comment on a couple of blog posts I read. They have moved to page two already as I commented on one of them. But once again I have to leave due to the memory spike.

20 blog posts per page and I counted 18 images in on the page. I did not count how many blog posts had images, but it was less than the number of posts without them. Some of those images are not related to Senator Obama. I often wonder how many images of Obama appear on Clinton and McCain's sites. I can not understand this obbsession with Obama's opponents. I wonder if members think people who come to Obama's campaign site to read about Obama are just dying to see pictures of other candidates. I do not and bothersome that I can not do what I wanted, read the interesting posts~because this obbsession with other candidates. C'est la vie.

Even though Senator Obama said last week that "everyone needs to settle down" about his VP selection because he is "a big believer in making decisions well, not making them fast and not responding to pressure." and "I will meet with a range of a people, and I will ultimately make a decision.", his supporters keep blogging about VP choices.

My hope is that members who can not wait upon Obama to announce his pick, will at least blog about their choices qualifications rather than just throwing out names of their fav picks. Like what makes people think Caroline (nee: Kennedy) would be up to the VP and maybe unwanted president position. How did she vote on Iraq? Wait a sec, she is not a member of Congress. Well, how does she feel about Iraq and Iran?

When I listened to her short speech for Obama in Los Angeles, she struck me as much too shy to be presidential. Any running mate of Obama's will be under constant stress of being prepared to jump in as president unexpectedly. Would she want it?

I met Barack Obama last August, when I accompanied him on a 5-nation, 15-day tour of Africa.

In Kenya we met with President Mwai Kibaki. Kenya has a history of difficulties with government corruption. It would have been easy for Senator Obama to stay on the edges of the conversation and not push any controversial issues. After all, he was a relatively new U.S. Senator.

But Senator Obama didn’t do that. His broad life experience has given him courage and judgment beyond what we might expect.

Senator Obama looked President Kibaki in the eye, and with a respectful but forceful tone, urged him to work on the issues that are keeping Kenya from progressing as a nation.

It was an incredible thing to watch. It was also very instructive and told me a lot about his character and courage.

Michael Hirsh quoted Gen. Scott Gration in a Newsweek Article dated Aug. 2, 2007 as saying:

"Our nuclear forces are not a deterrent as powerful as they once were, and yet those nuclear weapons and fissile material provide a threat. If, in my view, they’re not doing a deterrence mission and they pose a threat if terrorists get ahold of them, we ought to be pulling back the number of ICBMs.

When you have 15,000 to 16,000 weapons floating around, I think you can reduce that number significantly. And make sure nobody else feels a requirement to get new nukes. I believe if you could get rid of all the nuclear weapons this would be a wonderful world."

Hirsh reports Gration calling himself a "pragmatist."

"As a fighter pilot I stood nuclear alert. I understood that during the cold war we had this requirement. I was defending America in that process. Things have changed right now. But we have to do it in a way that makes sense. I’m not one who just says get rid of everything unilaterally."

"While he hasn’t served in the military he has tremendous respect and admiration for service people. … I’m very involved in veterans’ issues, and I believe there’s not a candidate out there who’s taking care of our veterans like Obama."

Sticks and Stones

I wonder if today's school children repeat that litlle ditty: "sticks and stones will break my bones, but names will never hurt me". Sometimes it was the parents calling their children names or spouses calling each other names. Senator Obama thinks the majority of Americans are decent people. He would not speak about other people the way some of his bloggers do.

West Virginia would be a good example of that. Obama supporters became quite upset with the ugly words used to describe people from the state. They left comments on the offening posts or wrote a blog post about it. Words can hurt or "a word causing pain makes anger come up". Senator Obama asks me to believe in his abilty to bring about change in DC. Yet he does not seem to be doing a great job of leading his supporters to a higher standard of civility.

The reason I posted Children Learn What They Live is twofold. The first is: we have 11 and 12 year old members of the community. Can not say how often they visit or how much time they spend reading comunity member blog posts. As I scroll the posts I wonder what members are teaching the children.

Telling people they are "wasting oxygen" for instance. I expect that stuff from trolls, but it is sad to see it coming from Senator Obama site members. The positive yes, we can energy that used to be found here is gone today. It started a while back when the focus on Senator Obama gave way to all about Clinton. Before that stuff was over the focus became all about McCain as well.

With the negativity and anger came fights or spats between community members. Some of the nicer ones split on account of it. Gone are the positive affirmations of the day and other uplifting blog posts that inspired, promoting Obama's message of harmony. I just read another "good bye" post by a member who got criticized harshly. It is sad enough to be verbally attacked by trolls and Hillary supporters, without being attacked by community members also.

The second reason I posted Children Learn What They Live will have to wait for tomorrow. Falling asleep at the screen.

Children Learn What They Live

My father kept Children Learn What They Live By Dorothy Law Nolte, Ph.D taped to a kitchen cabinet and I read it often. It begins:

"If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive."

And ends with:

"If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect."

I often think it is "people learn what they live". I liken the government to parents and the citizens to children or the people who learn to condemn, fight and be apprehensive under the leadership of our leaders. One of the reasons I liked Senator Obama was he has a way of bringing out the good in people.

For his birthday his members used their blogs to gather support for a special food drive fundraiser. The donations went to a food bank and were made in Obama's name. People who had never participated in a local food drive did so on Senator Obama's birthday. It was always a positive and pleasurable experience to scroll the community blog posts.

Wish I had saved blog posts by Obama '08 young members. An enthusiastic 12 year old boy who used part of his summer vacation to campaign for Obama to the amazement of his classmates. I enjoyed reading about what he was doing. Another 12 year old girl excited to be going to another state to campaign. The one who got his teacher to vote for Obama.

Katie began her blog with this post: "Hi everyone even though I am only 11 years old i fell very strongly that Obama should win." Sje continued telling about a class play about the primary and complaining that she has to wait until 18 to vote. She wants her voice heard. Completed with her show of enthusiasm "!!!".

It is nice to see young people being interested in and knowlegable about politics.

One of my favorite activies is solving Puzzabilty dot com's "Say What" puzzles. Often wish they posted a new one daily, not just once on Sunday. Last weeks quote was:

Winston Churchill said: Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak. Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

Another of my web activites is reading Obama '08 member's blog posts on the community page. I think that quote applies to many. To listen more and talk less. I say that because it seems like many members are unaware of elements of this long primary campaign. An example might be when someone DEMANDS that Senator Obama do something, when he already did so.

Demanding he name a VP when he said it was too eary to do so, seemed rude to me. I wonder, if the posters were "listening" would they "talk less" in their demading. As a reader it is disheartening. I tend to assume everyone knows about Senator Clinton's special interest lies, for instance. Do not they know, I think, that Senator and Bill Clinton have been telling their voters for months now that McCain is better than Obama.

Strange to me is the posts that keep suggesting VP's who did not endorse Senator Obama and endorse him quickly in the campaign. Even on the day it was announced that Senator Kennedy has a brain tumor, there was a post saying he needs to be Obama's VP. It was announced that Caroline (nee: Kennedy) is on Obama's committee to "vet" candidates, yet, I read posts here still suggesting she would be a great VP.

One of the reasons I choose to vote for Obama in my state's primary is that he traveled his state talking to citizens. He listens first. But he also had the courage to speech out about something that mattered even though it may have cost him his election in Illinois that year. That he did win, shows me that he is in touch with citizens and what they want from government. Listening to us being one of those things.

Who is Donah from Alexander City, AL? I wonder how he defines the word "love"?

I am sure people like Bill Clinton and Neil Bush love the money they make with their UAE (United Arab Empire) Dubai business partners. Neither man could be called "African/American". Chances are the Dubai Sheiks they do business with are Muslims.

I know exactly one African/American woman that was considering relocating to an Arab country. Not that she loves Arab Muslims, but because of the job opportunity. She wrote an article about it, but I do not think she was seriously considering it.

So this Donah character decides to get an account and use blogs provided for Senator Obama's supporters use to make a rather strange statement. It is hard to know what he is talking about. Like what Arab Muslim African/Americans are so in love with. Is it a new movie idol or pop singer I have not heard about yet?

Or is Donah one of those 13 year old pranksters that think they are cool 'cause they can blog here? Or maybe it is someone older under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Because what Donah wasted his time typing surely made no sense at all.

How dumb are people that they do not realize that they are messing with the government when they get an account at Senator Obama's campaign website. I wonder how many of these trolls who think they are being clever already have FBI files on them. One complaint to staff and they can track the IP address and find out their real name and street address.

That is the problem with hiring a 24 year old whiz kid to be in charge of the website. His restrictions at Face Book are more stringent than here. I guess he did not realize Obama's supporters needed that same kind of protection here. It would save a lot of staff time if they simply restricted use of tools to people who donate first. That would rid the site of the trolls.

Any information citizens want about Senator Obama is readily available without an account. They could learn more simply by reading, not posting the questions. Most often when they post a question it is not that they seek an answers. Just a sneaky way to flame.

Obama '08 ~ Decent

Senator Obama thinks the majority of American people are "decent". He said in his June 3rd speech: "Americans are a decent, generous, compassionate people united by common challenges and common hopes..."

Yet what does that word "decent" mean? Is torture decent? Is getting an account at Senator Obama's campaign website to tell people who support him, that they do not and that they support candidates that approve of torture an example of being decent? I think not and can only hope Senator Obama has not overestimated how many decent people are US citizens.

According to Senator Clinton 18 million of them think lack of integrity is a good qualification for a president to possess. They voted for the Clintons who are lacking in moral fiber. Decent? Majority? Um...

True or false? I do not consider Ku Klux Klan members "decent" nor "compassionate" and I most definitely am not united with them for common hopes. The exact opposite, I find them a challenge: how to rid the USA of the terrorist group forever. Anyone that flies a Confederate flag is also not "united". Nor are people who pit Democrats against Republicans.

Senator Obama is quoted as telling Canday Crowley of CNN when asked about possible vice presidential picks:

Alexa Rankings

Seeing a post about McCain's "rip off" of Obama's campaign website design reminded me to check Alexa rankings this morning. All three candidates are going down in pageviews. McCain has went down 10%. Will be interesting to see pageviews in a few days~Alexa is always a few days behind on the 7 day charts.

The US rankings today are:

514 Obama
1,576 Clinton
4,554 McCain

Of course part of Obama's higher ranking comes from all those who do not support him, but get an account to flame through use of our blogs. Staff might have done a better job in protecting Obama supporters from the trolls and hacking of the site with more stringent requirements and checking of sign ups.

You Tube has a syatem in place to prevent spamming comments. I leave a lot of comments everywhere on the internet and often get that "you are posting too fast" message and need to type in those security numbers if I want to leave yet another comment at You Tube. That system would have worked here to slow down the minute by minute spam posters. Especailly needed with the trolls who have nothing better to do with their time than verbally abuse other citizens.

Everyone hopes for something. My hope tonight is that people will look up in that left hand corner and read Obama '08. It does not read: DNC or Democrat Party, it simply reads: Obama '08. It does not read: Get A Free Blog Here! It reads: Obama '08. The reason I hope that is due to the non Obama '08 supporters who use Obama '08 Community member post space to tell Obama '08 community members who support Senator Obama why we should not be doing so.

It is equally annoying when Obama '08 supporters use that word: we, such as saying "we are all Democrats here", because I am not a Party member but a citizen. There are many Independent voters here and many Republicans who have chosen to support Senator Obama. I think the DNC and Obama's speech writers have forgotten all about us. I hope he remembers many of us are tired of the Divided States of America.

We are not a collection of red states and blue states, I believe is what Senator Obama said. He has often spoken about the reason things not getting done in Congress is those divisions caused by the two ruling parties. Senator Obama's support group are very diverse in ideals. We do not all think alike or feel the same about everything. To imply that we do is to give credibilty to that old "cult of Obama" stuff.

Of course I am a practical person and know my hoping will not make it so.

I see staff has added a new disclaimer to the site:

"Content on blogs in My.BarackObama represents the opinions of community members and in no way should be interpreted as endorsed or approved by the campaign."

Sad that all Obama supporters could not reflect Senator Obama's leadership by not forcing staff to have to "disown" disresptful bloggers who reflect poorly on his leadership abilty and ability to bring about real change.

Old saw is: give an inch and they will take a mile. By allowing the inch of copyright infringements, for one, to be a part of the community blogs shows new bloggers that copyright infringements are allowed by staff. A quick mass email to members reminding them of Terms of Service could nip things like that before they become the mile.

Disclaimers are fine to prevent lawsuits, but the damage done to the reputation of Obama supporters as a whole can not be undone. Can not say that I ever asked myself if Obama would approve this message before I chronicled my campaign experience. Do lose my temper with trolls and others at times. Especially when told I am "wasting oxygen" by an Obama supporter because I am not a "true Democrat". I do know Senator Obama would not say that to me. It did however convince me that Senator Obama can not inspire people to be better...

Obama Boys by Obamaboys features two very good looking young people dressed in suits and ties. Very adult like message about voting for Obama. The skit includes dress up as firemen, military and other professions as an added bonus. Of couse thanks also goes to the parent or other adult that took the time to create the You Tube video. The family that plays together stays together. Spending time to practice or rehearsh is a playful way to make politics fun for the young ones. Good job.

Obama Rocks '08 is a website featuring "a new campaign song". You Tube videos never play smoothly on blogs or at websites so I watched/listented to it here: Andy Fraser - Obama Yes We Can new campaign song.

Would be interesting to know exactly how many new songs were written especially for Senator Obama and how many mash up tribute You Tube videos there are.

Obama will lose my vote if he does not keep his word on this one. I am no longer contributing to the campaign, thanks to Obama supporrters who support the corrupt Clintons as Obama's VP. I am sure that is what you people wanted~to drive away support who trusted Senator Obama.

No longer recall why I looked up some more words this morning. Perhaps some of those comments or last Sunday's HRC trolls used them: venomous: malicious, spiteful. Venomous on my mind due to a new Obama blogger.

malicious: A desire to harm others or to see others suffer; extreme ill will or spite.
malice: a desire to cause pain, injury, or distress to another
spite: Malicious ill will prompting an urge to hurt or humiliate.
spite: petty ill will or hatred with the disposition to irritate, annoy, or thwart

Bills "gimmie a break" fairy tale anger fits those definitions. It scares me that the Clintons and their followers are the spiteful people filled with ill will and desire to hurt and humiliate Senator Obama and his supporters. I often wonder if these trolls have a life. They go through a lot of trouble to be offensive and yes, attack or bash us.

I often wonder if Seantor Obama still thinks the majority of Americans are decent. I do not understand why those trolls and her supporters have never noticed how gracious Senator Obama has been since the start and the nice things he has said about Senator Clinton. Even now after she, Bill and their supporters have spewed so much hatred at him. Amazing.

This accusing of bashing caused me to look the word up. The Merriam-Webster political ad again convinced me I am correct that they are paid for by McCain's campaign because the "bash" ad was to vote: Obama or McCain.

bash:
1-strike violently; to injure or damage by striking
2- to attack physically or verbally

I liked Free Dictionary's definition better: "to criticize harshly, accusatory, and threateningly", I went back to MW to look up:

attack:
1: to set upon or work against forcefully
2: to assail with unfriendly or bitter words

The morning started off on a bad note after reading comments on the Trail re: HRC's assassination remark. One comment was titled: "A Warning to Obama Supporters" A warning? That sounds threatening to me, especially given it was on an article about assassination.

It is a primary election. This is supposed to be a country that allows freedom of choice. Why am I not allowed to support any candidate I choose to, without being told: drink the Kool Aid and "you are an idiot" and worse.

Makes no sense to me. It all stems from Bill and his wife and the words they used to discredit Senator Obama. It is because they lead their campaign by bashing Obama to garner votes, rather than selling themselves on their merits. They definitely "criticize harshly".

Bashing People

I just love when C-word supporters come here, help themselves to Senator Obama's supporters tools and blog. Many months ago they came to tell us to stop bashing the C-word. Funny thing is, I noticed plenty of bashing of Senator Obama and us, his supporters coming from them. From Dame Clinton also. Then Obama supporters started blogging about Obama supporters, lecturing readers about not bashing the C-word and their supporters.

It started with Bill, did it not, bellowing, all red faced with anger: Barack Obama is a fairy tale and his "gimmie a break". That very moment was when I started to not like Bill. Did not like his wife due to her cold heartedness to Iraqi ladies...

But she was next (or maybe first do not recall) with her "he is just words" speeches and all of that. At the time I did not label that stuff "bashing". It did upset and if I said so, I wondered, how can I be "bashing" them. If I say: she is a liar, that is the truth and I did not consider it bashing. "You may be an idiot if you..." with a list of Obama stuff. Now that is bashing me. Especially when they are so rude to use our tools to say it. How do people expect to be received when they help themselves to our blogs to hurl ugly words and accusations at Senator Obama and his supporters.

Congresswoman Laura Richardson

Clinton endorser, Laura Richardson lost her Sacramento California home to foreclosure. She is blaming this on "a miscommunication by her lender". Richardson has two more homes in foreclosure and owes $9,,000. in back property taxes.

The news account does not make mention of her ex husband, the Chief of Police in Long Beach. Were any of the three homes jointly owned and divided according to the divorce settlement? According to the Press Telegram she loaned her Assembly campaign $100,000. in 2005, which she paid back. Due to a death and special election in 2007 she again loaned her campaign $775,000. and was elected to Congress.

Richardson earns $169,300. before taxes in Congress. As assembly woman she earned $116,000. plus a per diem to defray costs of living in Sacramento. Her other properties are in Long Beach and nearby San Pedro. She rents an apartment in Washington DC. She said she intended to rent the Sacramento home. Why did she wait so long? (8 months of foreclosure notices?) Might she have sold one of the other two homes, rather than default on payments, in addition to getting behind in property taxes.

Ms. Richardson feels her foreclosure experience makes her a good rep in Congress, better able to understand everyday people's problems with foreclosures. Perhaps, but in Long Beach, 22.8% are living below poverty level and most are having trouble paying ever increasing rent costs as the city tears down affordable apartment buildings to build high cost condo's and hotels to attract tourists. Richardson served on the LB City Council, thus was part of making those choices to bring money in the city at the expense of the workers who service the very tourists they bring to the city.

Many Obama bloggers have expressed fear due to Senator Clintons announcement that she is staying in the race in the event Obama dies like Bobby Kennedy did in 1968. She is an abusive person, ruthless and said she would do whatever it takes to win. She has a history of destroying others lives for whatever sick reason she has for doing so. They are upset about her "June surprise" and others think she is trying to incite violence against Senator Obama.

Iam not associated with any religion. Relgion is man made and spirit comes from God/Goddess. But I invite those who are fearful to join Vera (truth) in Hope and Pray for Sens. Obama & Kenndey.

Michelle for First Lady

I never thought about potential First Ladies prior to this primary. It was an article about Bill Clinton as First Man that got to me thinking about that. It was poking fun at Bill. I did not have to check out Bill; already know him and was never considering his wife as my president. The ladies I checked out did not interest me, except for Elizabeth Kucinich. But I did not see her gaining support in this conservative USA. Just turned 30!

I like Michelle and that is what gave me a title for my blog. I am not good at naming things or choosing a theme. I can relate to Michelle. Enjoyed her rousing speech in Los Angeles with Oprah, Maria and Caroline. I also liked other speeches she gave. "Be Not Afraid" is a favorite.

I have much admiration for Michelle. She is willing to risk losing her beloved husband prematurely in service to an ungrateful citizenry. Not all citizens, just a general assessment of all the ugly things said about her husband and herself. I am glad they stuck around. Thank you Michelle.

Theme: Unity

As stated I had one last post about my ease dropping adventure this morning.

The theme there was unity. Everyone that commented said the same thing: we are going to win, she is going to be our next president. Some Obama bloggers have used the word "delusional" about her and her supporters. I do not think so. They truly believe that Senator Clinton has been the victim of sexism and an unfair press. They think Obama is being given priority treatment.

It is sad because they have been deluded or deceived into believing lies. They think Obama can not run the country, he is too inexperienced and she and only she can fix the broken government. Bill is seen as an asset, not a liability.

Sometime last year I wrote an aritcle about politicians and lies. It was more a series of quotes than an actual article.

Make the lie big. Repeat it often. It will be believed. The Clintons are pro's on the use of propaganda. What bothered me was that theme of unity. That used to be how the Obama '08 community member blog posts were. Then the titles changed to: "that is it we are doomed" or "we are going to lose". It seems that Senator Obama's positive "Yes We Can" message was lost and the C-team has taken it to heart and applies it. That made me sad.

Make Nice

A new Obama blogger wrote about how she finds Obama supporters comments venomous and we have to "make nice" with Hillary supporters. I have seen some pretty nasty stuff here in the past few months, yet the comment bothered me. It was her supporters that started coming here some time after January or February calling us "haters" and "hateful". I started seeing that all over the web on aritcle comments. I had never seen anything but love coming from Obama bloggers prior to that.

They would come and explain how Obama has no experience; he has to wait his turn and how Hillary has 35 years experience. That is why I hope I never hear that word, experience every again. That and "vetted". Obama bloggers would take it in stride and nicely tell the Hillary Obama bloggers why her claim of 35 years was false and why they support Obama. He has to "wait his turn"? Who sez? No we were not haters or venomous, angry at times, maybe, but mostly patient and respectful.

As stated in piror post that Obama supporter lecture sent me for a rare visit to her site to ease drop. I was curious as to what they had to say about the RFK 1968 comment. I learned that they have adopted a Dixie Chick song "Not Ready To Make Nice" as their theme song. How nice. I get lectured for what I did not do to make nice with people who are not going to co-operate. These are the last comments I copied to reply to here. But one more post on the subject coming up.

Early in this long tiring primary campaign when my some of my peers were writing articles about why Hillary would make a great president, and yes, dreaming of a Chelsea White House wedding, I would tell them I could not vote for her due to Iraq and explain about my work with Code Pink. To be nice I would say "but I like that she co-sponsored with Senator Obama (and 8 others) Election Fraud Prevention legislation."

One of the reasons I support Senator Obama is his work to make our elected officials accountable. Hillary disagreed with Barack in an early debate. She gave him that look of incredulity and said the government has to lie to the citizens, after he said he would tell the citizens the truth even if it was not what they wanted to here. Robin, I so wish I could respond to you directly. Maybe you are open to a little truth.

Even the user name: Minnieme suggests a Mickey Mouse personality and clone of her queen. Okay that was mean spirited of me. It reminded me of that movie character "mini me" and my little nephew aping the character. His mother scolded him by acting out way beyond his years. I pointed out, it was what she and pop allowed him to watch. And they re watched that movie over and over again. Forget the name of it.

Even if she had divorced him I would not vote for her due to Iraq. She already wants to obliterate Iran. I am tired of war. In fact I suggested to Bill when he was pres he start implementing changes to lessen our nation's dependence upon oil, not start more wars.

Explain to me, jam63, what 1968 and June has to do with 2008? How can three totally different primary schedules be used as measuring sticks? Had Bill or Bobby ran out of money early in their campaigns? Did they go into debt loaning themselves money and charging themselves interest?

How is it "jumping to conclussions" when people are aghast that she said she is motivated to stay in the race because Bobby was assassinated? What an awful thing to say. What was her reasons? If she does not like what her words imply, she should have kept it to herself.

True Americans and False Americans

I prefer citizen of the United States. Contrary to popular belief our country is not beloved globally. "Americans are arrogant," I read, "they even claim they claim two continents and call themselves Americans". Of course the last part of our name is "of America" so the complainers were nitpicking. But every since I prefer citizen of the United States of America.

I was born in the United States. I believe that makes me a "true American". My father was a naturalized citizen and if he were alive telling him he was a false American would be darn insulting. He was so happy to be a US citizen he refused to speak his native tongue at home. He said: When in Rome do as the Romans do.

But JKM's comment title "True Americans and False Americans" was directed at Senator Obama. I guess. JKM's comment did not have anything to do with the chosen title. JKM said: "After this business, I will never vote for Obama and his spiteful friends, never, even if they gave me a million dollars."

It is people like that who cause me to become upset with the lectures here about being nice to Clinton supporters. How are Obama or "his friends" spiteful? The title seems to me to be that Bill and Hillary sold them on Michelle and Barack as "anti-Americans". I suppose all of us who voted for Obama in our state primaries are not "true Americans" only "false" citizens of the USA.

What kind of standards do you want her to bear? That it is okay to steal White House gifts and complain when you have to return them and pay a fine because "everyone does it"? Deaf ears is correct and the "more determined" is a good lesson for Obama supporters who think they help him by trying to tell you the truth or by criticizing your gal. It is like the parents or girlfriends telling the daughter or friend their new love of their life is a scoundrel or player. The young lady has to discover it on her own. Senator Clinton gloated before Ohio saying she thinks she has "created enough doubt" about Senator Obama. She did so by lies. Perhaps her FBI or CIA connections helped her a bit on that one. No one ever said who made that mash up tape of Wright. Imagine sifting through 20 years of sermons~perhaps 30 minutes each or more~to find exactly what words were needed to inflame. Bill knew Wright well enough to invite him to a White House prayer breakfast when he needed clergy to intercede with God on his behalf due to Monica. Monica was not the 1/4 of it! How many of them were there?

He says: Walmart, she snaps back with Rezko and the next day Rezko's bail is revoked and his trial soon begins. Yet the Clintons trial with Peter Paul is still on hold since it began in 2003. But her supporters think Obama is guilty of Clinton crimes. She does good work in selling lies as fact, sigh. The press exposes her call to Canada, so she could tell her people he lied on NAFTA. (I did not read about what Obama was accussed of even though it was blogged about over and over again here, nor did I read the press when Clinton got exposed. Should have, months later Obama newbies ask for clarification...)

In my prior post I explained why I ease dropped this morning. It has been my experience in life~as evidenced by Daisy~that many people are incapable of adult to adult conversations. Almost a year now, I have been talking to other candidates supporters who come here and help themselves to our tools to tell me why Obama is (insert whatever) and why I should be voting for (insert whoever). When a newbie tells me how venhemous I am, she sounds like she was sold on Clinton supporters lies about me. It stings. Is it not bad enough to be verbally attacked by them without being attacked by Obama's people also?

Yes, I am aware we have some new bloggers who are nasty, use photo shopped images, name call and all of that; but that is not us. We point out often that what any of us post is a reflection on Senator Obama's leadership ability as well as on all of us.

Tutite had this to say about us this morning: "I know there are Obama's people here that know the truth about him and have still come here to lie and try to infuriate us to take us off this defiant path."

No, Tutite, I know in my heart that Senator Obama has integrity, compassion and empathy. Yes, I know some Obama supporters get accounts to try and wake ya all up to the truth and the lies being told you. That is why I know it is not worth the time. Tutite, you do not know me or the supporters that have paid you a visit. It was not to "infuiate" but to educate. Perhaps someday, your eyes and mind will open to the truth. Doubtful, but hopeful...

Ease Drop

Today I did something I normally would not even think of doing; I went to her website to ease drop on her followers conversations. I was curious~after reading the outrage here~what they were saying about her staying in the race, just in case...

Yes, we all know what happened to Bobby.

I would not get an account there to reply to some of the stuff they say. A couple of months ago I lost my temper with her followers. I had tolerated them, been nice to them, tried to reason with them. Adult to adult conversations, ya see. Then a gal called herself Daisy picked a comment fight with me. I stayed calm to her attacks until she said: YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND HE IS MAKING YOU BELIEVE...

My son would not be capable of making me believe anything. Obama is not much older than my son. My beliefs were being formed when Senator Obama was in diapers, how dare she! My first comment on the series was why I do not support Senator Clinton: Code Pink and the Iraq war.

If Daisy had read anything I said she would not have been insisting she knows me better than I know myself. The truth of her statement is exactly the opposite. She leads them to believe her lies and they fall for them hook, line and sinker. How does one "be nice" to people who come here to repeat those lies? To insist those lies are truth?

Earlier a new Obama blogger said we are venomous and have to "make nice". That is what sent me to ease drop this morning.

Oops, I got fooled by a troll. I must be still sleeping. Peter from Seneca, South Carolina has enough intelligence to hide his identity by not revealing his last name. But he does not have enough intelligence to know that Senator Obama did not advertise that he was giving away blogs, like Blogger, Word Press or Live Journal. He also does not have enough intelligence to know that by trolling he has violated the Terms of Service, and TOS are legally binding contracts.

Wish I had taken a moment to check out his profile, before wasting my time replying to him. Sunday's troll, Kelly Sullivan was particularly viscous in what she did with our comments. I could kick myself by letting my guard down. Peter does not support Senator Obama and is using our tools to flame.

Blast from the Past

Mr Clinton left the room without answering any questions.

Not sure what old news article where I got the above report. I did watch the scene at You Tube a few months ago. That is why this election is so different. It is not in a candidates best interests to lie. Instant blasts from the past ready for review by new voters and the old ones hwo have forgotten.

Yet it seems to me, Bill was president not so long ago that people could not remember his lies, trial and impeachment. I wonder if those people who are voting to put him back in DC truly think it is okay for presidents to behave as immaturely as the Clintons have done. I do not get it. That Hillary is trying to force me to accept her husband for a 3rd term in he White House shows me how little she cares about the citizens right to have integrity in our highest office. She should have divorced him if she wanted to run for president.

Instead she is willing to do whatever it takes, even if it includes getting McCain elected in November. I guess she banked on people's short memories. Even Obama supporters keep suggesting her as a suitable VP. Have they too forgotten all her lies throughout this campaign. I am preplexed why people easily accept this. Mind boggling.

Empirically

Recently I took one of those silly internet quizzes: Do You Deserve Your High School Diploma. They decided I did not; said I must have slept through school and better start going to the library. They may have been right about the first one; school was so boring I did daydream through classes, had my homework finished, most often by the time the bus got home; got A's and B's in all my subjects. Except typing which I dropped after the first year being unable to get more than a D.

The problem with the quiz was I did not take the College Prep course; no Chemistry, Algebra, no foreign languages. No excuse for Art. I took Art as a Major subject but I still do not know who did a sculpture: David. What does that have to do with real life anyway? Will not get into the head injury or fact that Alzehiemier disease runs in the family...

...second word today I did not know, here in Obama land: empirically. Before I get to the political ad, I must add that writers are to write to an 8th grade level of intelligence. I do not know what that might be. Is empirically one of those words that rolls off the tongue of an 8th grader now-a-days? And the library? My last book reading binge I read 40 books in 30 days. I read 3 library books this week and am in the middle of a fourth and one of the reasons I choose to vote for Obama was due to his words in "Audacity". "Dreams" was an added bonus, but back to empirically and guess who was on the ad this time...

No, I am not looking for an answer to the question; just some food for thought. All member blog posts automatically become part of the community page. So I begin to wonder who among the posters has crab mentality?

Crab Mentality: Pulling other person down instead of helping to succeed.

Crabology: The mentality that if you can't win, then no one can win.

Obama '08 ~ Web Expenses

When I see the "Get Involved" sign up, I always assumed Senator Obama meant if people wanted to get involved with helping him campaign. That is the way it was in the beginning~grassroots efforts and early bloggers were using their blogs to do just that. I wrote an aritcle about the special birthday gift~donating to a Food Bank in his name for his birthday. I used that article with good results. Like me, many of the voters I reached never heard of the Senator and they were impressed~especially the young woman that feeds the homeless once a month.

Today I often hear bloggers telling trolls they are welcome here and this is "an open forum" and so on. This is not Blogger or Live Journal or Word Press. Senator Obama did not advertise: Free Blogs! I often suggest those people who come here to campaign for another candidate to make a donation to pay for the use of our bandwidth. It is as if I have to pay to hear them say those ugly things.

Yesterday someone posted a link to Clinton's campaign donations and that is how I picked up some info about both camps web expenses. This is listed for Obama in April:

As I scroll blog posts, I often come upon community members who just lost jobs or have been diagnosed with cancer or worried about a loved one enroute to Iraq or already there. Today a young person was feeling down because of the economy. She has to move back home with mom and unhappy about it. There are not many jobs in the area and she is in the process of selling and packing her things to move.

"Hope" by Shaggy is an upbeat and inspiring song for those struggling. The song reminds me of Michelle and Barack. They both have said they would not have achieved what they achieved if they did not have hope. Especailly for Michelle who grew up sharing a bit of living room space as a bedroom for herself and her brother. Imagine that; from no bedroom to living in the White House; oh my. I am quite sure that was not on her childhood hope list!

Playing an online game of Scrabble, I used the word: liege. I did not think it was a word and was surprised that it was. I usually prefer Free Dictionary online to Merriam-Webster. As noted a while ago I noticed the political ads and decided to check liege there. It means:

1. A lord or sovereign to whom allegiance and service are due according to feudal law.
2. A vassal or subject owing allegiance and services to a lord or sovereign under feudal law.
3. A loyal subject to a monarch.

There was a political ad with a big image of Senator Obama and big letters asking: Is Obama finished? It tickled me because he was sort of declared the winner with delegate votes yesterday. Today a blogger posted a link to April campaign expenses.

Clinton's campaign paid: Google $138,182.77 and Yahoo $16,392.09. That does not mean she paid for Google ads or had them placed on the Merriam-Webster site. Obama's expenses listed: Google *Image Domain Google.co $5,750.00; Google INC CC@Google $369,857.58 and YAHOO! SEARCH MARKET PASADENA $66,000.00. Would be interesting to know what they are buying.

Party Unity?

Not the first time the Clintons have told citizens that McCain is better than Obama. Sickens me.

Over a year ago on one of those talk shows (You Tube video) when asked about Senator Clinton, Obama said she is very smart and has good work ethics. My daughter used to tell me she was the brains behind Bill's presidency. I assumed, okay, I guess Hillary is smart. Everyone keeps saying nice stuff about her. (everyone being Obama, Kenndey, Shriver, Edwards, Richardson and so on)

She is like a two year old child, a spoiled brat that things the universe centers around herself. She wants what she wants and will not be denied even if it means handing McCain a win in November. And the Obama '08 community bloggers keep telling me I have to accept that as VP for "party unity". She is worse than Bush with her meglomanic inability to see herself as she is: liar, theif, backstabber, abusive, "one that inspires fear and disgust".

After reassuring some bloggers that Obama was ahead in the popular vote, I checked my history to find the site where I checked it out a few days ago. I decided to copy the info and publish it here this morning. Copying charted info rather screwed up the alignment and I left off the spread to post in a follow up post.

Who said I bought into this nonsense? Due to all the yapping here yesterday, I thought it would info worth sharing for any community blog readers that happened to see it.

Hillary Clinton said she would do whatever it takes to win. When I went to gather the data it was to prove to Obama community bloggers that this was more of her lies. Today she told her audience they should vote for McCain if the DNC refuses to seat the MI and FL delegates. As per the data I posted Obama is ahead 49% to her 47% unless those uncounted votes are included. The reason there was a spread was because Real Clear Politics had to estimate data in caucus states that would not release th info.

Obama, I read here, called it "fuzzy math" and actually she is correct; she does have more popular vote than Obama. As stated I would be happily oblivious to the "this nonsense about popular vote" if I had not seen it here and went off to bring back the hard data to reassure people...

Have mentioned often I do not watch television. I also do little more than glance at headlines except for local news. Things like a 9 year old who's twin had to be removed from her stomach catches my eye as does bombs in San Diego or bodies found burned beyond recognition. The latest earthquake, flood or tsunami interests me; as does crime news. There is little I can do about the war in Iraq, for instance and hearing about the latest suicide bombing and stuff like that just depresses me, because I have never had the kind of government I wanted. War begets future wars...

Someone left a comment on a blog post that started with that quoted sentence (up above). I would be happily ignorant about that "nonsense about popular vote" if only Obama community bloggers were not posting about it over and over again yesterday. THE ALL CAPS RAGE AND LONG, LONG HEADLINES are hard to miss, even if I pass over the posts looking for something else to read. My fondest dream~well not fondest but...would be to not see the C-word here for one whole day.

Especially on election days. I wrote about that a long time ago, my 3 positive in a row Obama titled blog posts, after getting tired of post after post about the C-word and now McCain is added to the list. How annoying. They even bring her donation button to Obama's site.

California has another primary election coming up. I have no idea who all the judges and others are that I need to choose from to be on the Democrat primary ballot, except for one. She sent me a personal email asking for my support. I checked out her website. Because she is an Obama supporter I decided I will vote for her. Other than that I am lost. That has nothing to do with the quote. There are two initiatives on the ballot that do.

Both Kelly Sullivan and Sandra Butterfield's blogs have been deleted. No way to know if they deleted their posts and beat a hasty retreat of if staff took care of the trolls. The reason I started tracking the trolls was many of them came back. It is also hard to know if the people who do this are using their real names. My post on Kelly says there is one comment, but when I go to read it there is no comment there. I imagine Kelly was my commentor. She went to a bit of trouble to replace all that commented on any of her blog posts with revised and low text.

These are the types of people that Senator Obama and many of his bloggers want me to be nice too. It would be better to offer suggestions on how to deal with with abusive people. I have found that close minded and hard hearted people are unreachable. I have fallen into their trap too many times, trusting they were here to listen. That has not proven to be the case. I have no idea why they come.

Like bullies on a playground, but worse because they are invisible people with a name on the internet. They are like snipers firing bullets. Can dodge the attacks but do not know who fired them or when they will shoot again. Sad that Senator Clinton decided to turn a primary election into a war. Sad. Typos are Sandra's.

I am a member of the Obama '08 community. I am not a Democrat, I am a citizen. One of the reasons I registered as a Democrat this year was I am tired of the Republican held Congress and all that stuff. To be fair, I did take a look at most of the Republican candidates. Most of them did not get past A on my ABC list of qualifications on issues of importance to me. Senator Obama caught my eye right way with his message of unity. We are not Red States, we are not Blue States, we are the United States of America.

It was quite upsetting to hear an Obama blogger tell me that I am "wasting oxygen" because I am not a real Democrat. Senator Obama used to mention his Independent voter support. Up in the right hand corner it still says: OBAMA '08 not DNC or Democrat or The Party. As a citizen of the USA, I do not have to support or condone the Clintons lack of integrity for the sake of Democrat party unity.

The message about healing "the party" needs to be taken to Hillary's website. She is the one that told her lies about Obama. She is the one that told her lies about herself. "The Party" is who sat silent as she mocked and belittled Senator Obama. If "The Party" was so concerned about party unity, perhaps they should have silenced Bill and Hillary months ago. They should have forced her to bow out gracefully when she ran out of money, rather than allowing her to throw the kitchen stink at Obama.

I do not know if "the party" knows about the Clintons lawsuit going on right now. They do, however, know all about Bill's lies and womanizing. They do know about their stealing of White House gifts; they do know about her yes vote to Iran; they do know about her and Bill's prior FEC fraud and non-disclosure; they do know about her special interest lies; her Bosnia tall tales and everything else.

Perhaps it would be better to stop lecturing those who voted for Obama, those who donated time and money and start contacting the DNC about how they and the Clintons are going to cost them all of Obama's Independent voter support if they expect us to help them pay off Hillary's debt; most especially her interest on her loans to herself. I have spent time getting Obama Green Party votes and to swing Nadar suppoters to Obama. It is rather sad to know that Obama's supporters do not think Independent voters count, just "The Party".

What does 75,000 People Look Like?

Yesterday's Community blog member post page had one post after another with the crowd of 75,000 people in Obama's Oregon rally. So I know what 75,000 people look like gathered in one spot. It got me to thinking if I have ever been a part of a crowd that size. Seeing the photo is not quite the same as experiencing it.

Love the internet! Of course I will never remember the seating capcity of places like the old Philly Spectrum or Madison Square Garden and the Long Beach Convention Center seating capacity was broken up in chunks~to the different meeting rooms. I decided the only place where I was part of a sea of faces was at sold out Yankee Stadium baseball games.

Someone's post said: A whole city! That got me to looking at demographics of cities I where I have lived. Um... 2,742 Mt Pocono? No wonder a brother laughed at me when I said: it feels good to live in a city again. Pocono Pines is listed as 1,013, but I think that includes nearby Lake Naomi and even closer Pocono Lake (or was it Pocono Park, the side by side towns were so tiny, I was never sure where one ended and the other started. They were not ciites with main streets and sidewalks and stuff.)

I just noticed the little link below posts: Mail to a Freind. Oh, I have probably seen it. I do not send mail to friends. I copy URLs and send a message myself if I think they are interested in something I read or watched. I doubt that Obama's site phishes or uses emails, but I never expose my friends email address to anyone.

The reason I noticed it today is troll Kelly Sullivan. She was bright enough to use the Delete Comment function to change Obama bloggers comments. Now I wonder how many of her Hillary partners she may have emailed her blog posts to. I do not have a printer, but she may have printed out copies of the stuff Obama bloggers supposedly said to use against him. And us.

It did me little good to post her profile here. Now that her account is gone, the only proof I have of her impersonation of others is my ownself and others who witnessed it as well. Is this all that serious? Nah; but I hate to think how many other trolls may have changed my comments and be using the info around the internet world to discredit Obama supporters.

Oy, I am mad at myself that I posted a comment a while ago without checking for a profile. It is a new blogger and her question means she too is most likely a troll, not an Obama supporter. Do wish the admin would tighten up this site; do away with those auto sign ups; protect us from abuse from people like Kelly.

It amazes me that people are still messing up the Community blog member post page by using overlong URLs or oversize images. People have been blogging about this messing up the page for months now.

No one has replied to my prior question: does this only happen on small screen monitors?

I took the time to count. Anything over 87 characters will send all posts over the margin into a blue unreadable area. It hurts the eyes. The only way to read other blog posts on the page, is to click on the title to read it on a separate page. Due to the fast posting, returning to the original community page to read "of interest" posts are now pushed back two or more pages.

Yesterday a poster thought that troll who was changing people's comments had hacked the site, due to several of these overlong URL posts. The other issue is bloggers who continue to post code. Do people look at their own blogs to read comments pointing out the code is showing? Do they just post or do they ever spend time on the Community pages to see what others are saying?

Quite frustrating that this continues to happen. How to reach those bloggers is a mystery to me.

Internet advice on trolls is: ignore them. They have one aim: to create trouble. Kelly Sullivan from Montpelier, Vermont is worse than that.

She used our Delete Comment function to change Obama community members comments. The function allows people to replace comments with new text. It is pre-fillled in with "Comment has been deleted by admin". I truly thought Obama '08 bloggers were doing some good natured ribbing of her. I know them to be loyal Obama supporters. It seemed odd to hear Victoria De Paul saying: Obama is a chump. She is very nice and polite. She did not type those words.

Kelly effectively violated the TOS by "impersonating another person". Her user name is "Clinton Supporter". She has a profile and 4 friends; among them De Paul. I wondered if Victoria read Kelly's profile.

Thus that internet advice is correct. Better to simply report objectionable content. I do not know how it is possible to be nice to people as vicious and uninformed as Kelly. Her mind is obviously closed and her heart too cold to be won over with truth. Anyone that would go to that much trouble to spew hatred is scary to me. They could not have a shred of human decency in them to so disrespect other human beings. To use Senator Obama's site and abuse his supporters is as low as her leader has been.

UFOs

While I was looking for confirmaion that there was a big todo about UFO citings over Washington DC in 1952, I found an intersting comment:

I wonder how many people remember the UFO sightings over Washington DC in July 1952. I sure do not. Could not read at the time. Our family was the first on the block to get a television, but do not know if it was on the nightly news that Dad always watched. Only an older brother ever talked about life before TV; it has always been a part of my life. The reason July 1952 is on my mind was the mention of those UFO sightings in a book I am reading.

Love the internet. I did a quick search to verify that this was fact. I found scanned copies of old newspaper copy about the event. There was definitely a government cover up, but they may not have been covering up UFO's. (see Read More quote)

In 1969 the United States Air Force concluded that 701 sightings were still unidentified flying objects. I did not read the news about Kucinich saying he has seen UFOs. At the time, simply thought people would label him: wacky and not seriously consider his bid for presidency. I liked Kucinich one better than Obama due to his impeach Bush/Cheney activity. The current admin still has time to do more damage to the country...

Despite people saying to the contrary, this is not a forum; Senator Obama never advertised giving away free for all, anything goes blogs. They were provided for his supporters use. If one is not a supporter, it is extremely rude to use our site tools. They are paid for by the generous donations of Obama '08 supporters.

Websites are not Congress. Like entering someone's home, there are houserules to follow and the host or hostess gets to them. Terms of Service are the community rules. Any that got an account had to sign the legally binding contract. Obama community bloggers are the community blog post moderators. Some members of the community of Obama '08 supporters have more tolerance than others; I am not one of them.

Don't Blow This America~Obama Is the Real Deal by a writer who calls himself the literary guru got 3 comments on it. I do not know how many times I gave Larry King Live or other places page views at the insistence of Obama '08 Community Bloggers.

I mentioned quite some time ago how a negative article about Obama's church (written before the media started their Wright crucification) had over 700 comments. Like most media, it seems to me Associated Content is biased against Senator Obama. That is why I had asked for help with getting comments on positive AC articles. What I liked about the above aritcle was a line about Obama needing to distance himself from Hillary, due to the "guilt by association" garbage thrown at him. I agree that the DNC and all should be distancing themselves from the Clintons. I am having a hard time not judging the DNC due to their loyalty to the corrupt Clintons.

It does seem standard practice in DC to not look closely at who is raising funds. Gore was among those who claimed ignorance of one of those two in jail due to illegal or fudging and fund raising practices. Such as the sudden donations of $2,300. sent by money orders to the Clinton in prior campaigns. Senator Obama and McCain are two of our Congress people working to tighten up those illegal activities.

This campaign has been like being on a roller coaster or in the middle of a hurricane~without much eye of the storm breathing room in between the next SENSATIONAL HEADLINES!

Without the morning newspaper being delivered to my door (security building) I turn on the internet for something to read. I scan headline news, seldom read anything~headlines tell me most all I need to know on any topic. Then I head to blog I regularly read. Next up was Associated Content when I was still writing for them. Today my stop is to the Obama '08 Community member post page.

This is where I get to hear it first: every negative kitchen stink from the Clinton camp and press. The site barely resembles Obama's style of campaigning and is often a poor reflection on his leadership ability. Several months ago many Community members began begging for Hillary free days and a more positive tone from our community members. We get bashed due to our efforts to do Obama proud. C'est la vie.

The War Room SENSATIONAL HEADLINE news was one of those days (weeks) when the Obama community became a war zone of bickering. Rather than working on gathering support for Obama, the site is often obsessed with the kitchen stink stuff. "The Obama Camp" or "Obama supporters" becomes the next day's SENSATIONAL HEADLINE and stuff like the War Room does not make us look good.

I get caught up in that storm and wasted hours of time on that one thing. I rewatched the video over and over again~after doing much research about it. The tape was doctored was my final word on it. I am cleaning up notepad saved stuff today. Hence this post to post the transcript or written record from the movie. It is accurate.

Code Pink meet with Senator Clinton

Senator Clinton lost my respect a couple of years back due to my work with Code Pink ladies. Like Alice Walker who was arrested for protesting going into Iraq, I petitioned my elected officials to just say no to the invasion. I did not know Senator Obama back then; I have immense respect for him, in retrospect, due to his words on the why invading Iraq would be a bad idea.

Senator Clinton said "and he has a speech he gave back in 2004" to win support. But I remember her response to the Code Pink email and petition campaign. I remember the Iraqi ladies who came to the USA with Code Pink. I remember the US ladies that went to Iraq to see and speak to citizens first hand.

The video above is when Code Pink ladies went to DC to speak to Congress people. They were handing out a "medal of courage" "for listening to the people and preserving American Values" to our representatives in Congress who did just that; Listened.

Getting past the singing of the Code Pink ladies in the video is a chore for me. Worth the wait to hear what they said to Senator Clinton and her response. "We would love to give one of these to you, instead of giving you a pink slip" they said. They could not award her the Medal of Courage. When one of the ladies took off her pink slip (worn over clothing) Hillary refused to take it and was downright nasty in her words and ugly face anger.

Last summer Obama was asked how he would structure his cabinet. Three points he made are listed, along with reasons why Senator Clinton does not qualify:

1: Competence:

She did not get her required filing in Pennsylvania done on time. Governor Rendell gave her a two week special filing extension citing: snow. How competent is that?

She ran out of money twice; has millions of dollars of unpaid debt. How competent is that?

2: Integrity:

"...a huge scandal erupted when it became known that Mrs. Clinton’s brothers, Tony and Hugh Rodham, had lobbied the president on behalf of criminals who then received presidential pardons or a sentence commutation from Mr. Clinton."

"t wasn’t just the pardons that sullied the Clintons’ exit from the White House. They took furniture and rugs from the White House collection that had to be returned. And they received $86,000 in gifts during the president’s last year in office, including clothing (a pantsuit, a leather jacket), flatware, carpeting, and so on. In response to the outcry over that, they decided to repay the value of the gifts."

Shame on You Barack Attack: accuses Senator Obama of giving comfort and aid to special interests and their allies in the Republican party. ABC debate says she is going to fight the special interests that "the Republicans" and "the president" coddle.

Is this more sleep deprivation? She distinctly vowed to continue taking lobbyist money because "like it or not they represent real Americans". She actually takes more PAC money than McCain.

Bosnia tall tale is but one of her lies.

Is that integrity?

3: Independence ...he mentioned the job of Attorney General is to be the people's lawyer, not an attorney to protect the president.

She insures that press is not reporting on her latest fraud trial. Perhaps had the judge ensure she can not be called until after the November election; much like when Bill was running and the Flowers lawsuit was covered up.

Ruined Billy Dale's life rather than simply fire him so she could give her cousin his job.

She abused her First Lady power in the same manner Obama explained the Attorney General was working for Bush, not the people.

Her career was so important to her, she painted a 12 year old girl as a vixen who came on to the older man that raped her, when assigned to the case as a public defender. Her determination to win by any means necessary began back than at age 27.

She forgot to mention her conflict of interest via Bill in Dubai as she blew the whistle on GWBush due to brother Neil.

The reason I do not like the polls is they plant those little seeds of doubt and negativity. Senator Obama ignored the polls and look where it got him! Exception will be his odd attitude about West Virginia. Because I like to read and spend a lot of time looking for those blog posts from newbies looking for help and personal stories, I get to scan all titles. The constant: We Are Doomed becuase The Polls Say and negativity of the C-word's kitchen stink constantly posted here, does bring my mood down.

I am sure it was in just such a mood that I opened "my mouth" and complained to RJ. That RJ still wanted to be friends is a testimony to RJ's good character. An attitude worth catching. Thanks to all for your patience and understanding. Maybe someday I will lose the crabby old lady attitude. Maybe.

Obama '08 ~ Websites

New online friends often bring requests for website or blog visits. Wish I had time for them all! I avoid sites that are slow loading and full of ads. When it comes to Obama blogs, I also shy away from blogs or websites that tend to be more about other candidates than about Obama. I enjoy local news articles or from Australia as in the following. Main stream media articles are readily available if I care to read them. I much prefer a forum for chatting with friends; but very little action on the Obama forum.

Obama '08 ~ Community

Yesterday an Obama blogger told me I am "wasting oxygen". Not me personally, but he did mean me. I would expect that attitude from people who support the Clinton and McCain torture of Iraqi citizens, but not from an Obama supporter. Attitudes are contagious and I miss the days when the community was young; full of positive energy and following Senator Obama's lead. Hope to finish up today with opening and posting my unread friend requests.

Like the work Obama has done on behalf of our veterans, especially the homeless Iraq war ones.
He is against FISA and for Net Neutrality.
Obama does not just talk about government transparency he has worked to make USA Spending a reality. He means it when he says he wants to change DC and hold our elected officials accountable for how they spend our tax dollars.
He co-sponosred Election Fraud Prevention legislation that passed in Congress. (I always hate to say Clinton was one of the other 8 that co-sponsored this bill.)
Along the same lines, he has a proven track record in Congress in working across party lines in writing legislation or co-sponsoring the same and getting it passed.
He is guided by his faith, but suspects a government that imposes it's belief's on the citizens, even if those beliefs are his own. This is very important to me. We are not and were never intended to be a Christian country as has been the battle cry these past 6 or 7 years. We were meant to allow freedom to worship. Any God/Goddess we choose or none at all.
He impressed me when I first heard him speech via his You Choose '08 intro video. "We are the UNITED States of America. That was music to my ears. These past 2/3 years I have taken to calling us the DIVIDED States of America. I might have stopped looking and voted for him based on that one thing alone.
I read "Audacity of Hope. How amazing this man is; he said so many things I have been saying for years and years and years. He thinks like me. Yikes, I can not believe this~someone who thinks like me wants to be my president. Hallelujah!
His unique childhood makes him uniquely qualified to lead the nation at exactly this time in history. I am so tired of the culture of hate sprung up around the Bush admin. Obama experienced the Muslim culture as a child. He knows this first hand: WE ARE MORE ALIKE THAN WE ARE DIFFERENT. How nice it would be to have a president that leads on loving all humans, then the crop I have known since childhood~that teaches fear of anyone. (Communists and Russians was my first taste of being brainwashed to hate.)
I protested going into Iraq when it was not popular to do so. When I listen to his old speeches and interviews on his reasoning, it is sound. In retrospect he was correct. That is good judgment and wisom I want in a president.
I have been complaining about lobbyists or big businesses rule of our government. Along comes Senator Obama talking about "buying a seat at the table". Did I dream up this candidate? Somedays it seems like he was tailor made for me.

As a bonus we like the same kind of music and the only sport I watch voluntarily is basketball. Oh, and I like Michelle; smart and tough. And he can inspire people with speeches...

Bored today, I did a google news search for Tony Rohamn. I was wondering if he ever paid his back child support. I read he is campaigning for his lovely sister, but was to keep it "low key". I found an op-ed piece by Bob Herbert. I was under the impression that Herbert was no fan of Obama's and yet this piece was anti-Clinton, due to remarks about "hard working white people".

I am still perplexed. Who are these people that are voting for known corruption? The Herbert piece only touched on the scandals. The womanizing and lies Bill told (not to mention Hillary's) should be enough to turn voters off on re-electing them. Sad.

Jeff Burrow from Atantla Georgia does not support Senator Obama but has helped himself to a blog. Just one more rude person who thinks Senator Obama is giving out blogs for anything goes free for all. People who do that are known as trolls. What mentality do they have that causes them to do that?

Do they have lives? I mean, why would someone get an account just so they can show how uninformed they are? It is terribly insulting and rude to Senator Obama and those who have donated hard earned money to provide bandwidth. That is why there will never be peace on earth: people like Jeff and the rest of the trolls and trouble makers.

57 State Gaffe

Oy vey. Bored, I took a look at Associated Content today. I decided not to write for them anymore. The site loads too slow with a new design and more ads. There were at least 5 articles on Obama's 57 state gaffe. I thought maybe the media that replayed the tape cut it off and it was taken out of context. But I found the clip and sure enough he goofed.

It is from an Oregon speech and he keeps looking down at his notes or speech his writer did for him. He said it was good to be back in Oregon after 15 months of campaigning. He went on to mention having went to "50..." pauses and looks confused and says "7 states..." He quickly corrects himself saying he did not go to Alaska or HI because his staff did not allow it.

I have heard Obama make these little errors, but this one is too sad. Whatever was he thinking! He most likely was thinking of the number of contests~Washington DC, Virgin Islands and so on. But those darn AC writers who basically are fans of other candidates were quick to jump on it. I usually check headline news everyday and had not seen this one.
