Last night I saw a dead sea of gray, Sears wash and wear suits. The GOP (Grand Old Party) name was befitting of the cheering, scary looking audience. After every 100 person, I managed to see a young adult. lol It's no wonder why America is still stuck in the 19th century of ideas that lack the progressive movement that it so badly needs.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that Palin's speech was not of her own words or choosing. It is also obvious she is being used like an old shoe to throw in the sexism trap. I say, if Palin can dish it out then she should not cry foul when the Democrats whip her with her own words. Much of her speech was personal attachs on Barack and Michelle Obama. Palin is McCain's attach shield. Keep the focus off of him since the media will be more sensitive to her as a woman. Very shrewd McCain.

Since she touts that she can run with the big boys, I say, she is fair game and no mercy should be sparred. She touts herself as tough. I say, give her the whipping she's never had. Since no one has the courage to call it for what it is, she intentionally did a culture divide in her speech last night. So maybe this explains why her daughter was attracted to a self acclaimed "Red Neck".

A True Story: The Lion's Mouth

My mother told me a story about one of her bosses. The story went like this.

My mom said that she would apply for openings in the company but was always turned down. She knew she was bright enough to do the job and had the right credentals but was always overlooked for any company promotions. So one day she went into her bosses office to ask her why she was never considered for any of the openings that she applied for. Her boss told her that sometimes it's good to grow in a position and learn as much as you can. Hearing this, my mother knew she would never be promoted even though her boss thought she was capable of training new employees and watch them be promoted. So she did just what her boss suggested she do. She learned everything she could from her boss and eventually left the company and got a better job.

I asked my mother why in the heck didn't she just leave sooner. She said:

"Baby. When you have your hand in the lions mouth, you have to ease it out".

Meaning that sometimes, you can't always get what you want or things are not going to be the way we may want them to be.

To make health care really affordable I am proposing that the rates be based on a SLIDING SCALE that will be based on the individuals annual salary. If companies with 500 employees or more are given the direct discount from the insurance industry and the employer still pays a portion of 60% to 80% of the employees plan, this would make it affordable for both employee and employer.

Companies with 500 or less employees, the same would apply but should be give a tax break to recoup some of the loses that they would pay into employees health insurance.

For unemployed individuals, they can go into a pool for 6 to 8 months that will be picked up by the government, until employed. If still unemployed at the end of this time period, the individual would have to reapply. The government will have a set aside budget for this option.

This is a response to Jewels For Obama and is not intened to offend any persons. These are my personal thoughts and does not necessarly reflect the opinion of other bloggers.

How can I be positive it's a rumor? I can't.

The rational part of my senses as a person, woman, African American and as an Obama supporter will not allow my integrity to accept a "lowly rumor" that Barack Obama would pay his supporters to sway Hillary Clinton's supporters to back him. The very thought of a "cheap shot" would be against his moral and ethical belief of the motto: CHANGE

I do not not have the word, "F-O-O-L" written on my forehead, that would make me deny the sterotyping, separation and division that Hillary Clinton spewed during this primary race, nor am I in a place to suggest to anyone that her venom were just, "words" to be thrown over the shoulder.

Yes, Barack Obama has won and that victory should have been his limelight but it was over shadowed by a narccisstic, self centered, underminding Hillary Clinton. I was not born yesterday. It would be a betrayal to those worthy individuals, who walked the walk that has enabled Barack Obama to achieve what was once thought to be an impossibility. (A viable nominee for the President of The United States of America)

Surely, African American were offended and insulted. But let's not be so selfish to forget that many white americans were equally offended with the class separation projected onto them by Hillary Clinton. Who but I, along with other African Americans could be more proud of Barack Obama's accomplishments.

Yes. Your pain is your own. There are varying degrees and you have the absolute right to wallow in it as long as you see fit.

I make no apologies for being of strong stock, who possess the courage and ability to pull my bootstraps up and get to walking. For me, those steps includes healing, bridgeing, communicating, supporting and uplifting. Sometimes a disgruntled moan can take the wind out of your sails and cause you to drown in self pity. (not directed at you personally) Of course Barack Obama knows what he's against. This election is not about my blackness or yours. It's much greater. I happen to believe it entails human beings wanting to search, reach out and seek common ground. I respect you because you say you are 58 and because of the village values I come from.

One of my daily affirmation is to accept the responsibility of injury and indifference that I may cause someone. My intention is not to offend. As you, I too have had encounters of "stinkin thinkin" that has caused me to utter the words of Nina Simone's, "Mississipi Goddam". But I'm also reminded of those that came before us, (black, white, male, female, rich, poor) who made sacrafices that you or I would not be willing to withstand. It has a way of checking me.

Having been to that mountain top in experiences, I choose not to chew on the anger that can consume the human mind and soul. I choose to spit it out because I crave something better and sweeter. As for "High Mindeness" Where I come from, it's the act of one who puts their foot on their brother or sisters neck, (black or white) just because ( without merit) Even if I likened the thought, I'm reminded of my beautiful brown skin and kinky hair that some find unacceptable, but is does not take my self worth as hard as one might try.

Lastly, my "Kum-ba-ya" spirit is real. You are correct. You have the right to feel any way your hearts desires but I never insinuated to anyone at any time that you or others had to embrace Hillary supporters.

If I choose to extend the olive branch, then it is of my own doing. Yes. I am thankful that most of my experiences with people of various races and cultures have been positive. It's what make me truly believe in CHANGE.

Why is the media and the DNC giving acknowledgement to Hillary's wants. Didn't Obama secure the nomination? What about the people and the party. Hillary Clinton has moved from her attempt to "hijacking" to a narcisstic type of "blackmail" for the VP. If this is a clue to her behaivor behind closed doors in the Senate, it's no wonder she has rightfully earned the, "demon" image. It appears that her "hostage holding" mentality satisfies the "devill within her".

Hillary's actions does not represent a true Democratic spirit. Many Obama supporters had been poised to give her their support and vote had she been the nominee. After wittnessing a selfish and destructive attitude last night, I believe they would not give that support to her as a VP.

It is now clear that Hillary is not an upwardly, mobile and progressive woman who would have been a shinning example to women of her youth. She is stuck. Stuck, stuck, stuck. She weakens her legacy minute by minute. She now validates and revives the old rumor that she cheated to gain her Senate seat. Forgetting that she owes much respect to those that began at the grassroots level, she has become a, "player hater". So now her window of leverage closes more and more as she continues to divide our party.
