A Birth long ago brought us great cheer

Miracles followed to people everywhere

Emery could never smooth the rough edges He found

Rampant sins were occurring all around

Rights contorted into personal gain

Young awkwardness lost and social disdain

Change we made when in Him we believed

His words whispered a truth we ably received

Righteousness came and the people were healed

It took His reach out to thousands and truths revealed

Savior, Prince of Peace, Lord of Lords and King of Kings

Taught lots and healed many with His wondrous blessings

Multitudes of His followers were there wherever He would go

And the Word of our Deliverer spread to places high and low

So many believed on Him, on His word they hung their belief

On the faith in the Messiah they were freed from grief

Blessed by His powers and loved through His grace

A light that glowed Eternity in His promised embrace

My God and Savior came here and while He was here

A chosen few were taught to go spread His Word everywhere

Faith in the Father and the steadfast faith in His son

Are the doctrines that the Christians taught since they begun

Merriment to all men, peace and love, happiness too

In these trying times and economic strain we wish the best for you

Lots of His joy to you, may the Father’s Blessings be near

This Thanksgiving Day there are many things on my list to be thankful for. In fact, I anticipated this and started giving thanks with each morning I awake. Still, my list is unending and I must continue to give God thanks for all those things He has done, the things He is doing and the things He promises to do. I give Him thanks for me and for all the glory He rains down on my family and friends.

Your hand has guided us yet another year

Today with families we gather and share

Let us salute all those veterans throughout the world. Let us pay close attention to bettering the life of all of them remembering what they did to make us who we are today. But as we remember them let us not forget the surviving veteran from World War I, Mr. Frank Woodruff Buckles. I salute his longevity and recognize the problem that we have just to go across the street to buy some bread yet he has survived a century and more.

US Army received him with others but all others are gone

Remember all who fought and remember him too

Value Frank Woodruff Buckles who served for me and you

Incredible that this 108 years old is the only to survive

Valor has any man who after a century on this earth is still alive

Remember friends all our veterans and Frank Buckles at this time

Remembrance Day

Today we remember those who fought in the Wars on our behalf. Those who do not believe in war must still remember that the fought for them too. Most of what we have today has been influenced by the outcome of these wars whether we like it or not. The millions of people who have died may not have had a choice like we do; they may have been drafted to fight. What ever the reasons or circumstance, you may wear to poppy to acknowledge the lost of these lives or the disfiguring of the many others. Those with haunting pains deserve some support.

Remembrance Day

Red poppies worn to show that we

Empathize with those of the military

Men and women who were in battle slain

Enemies took their lives and never again

Met with their families

Battled for us and our sovereignties

Remembering those too who where injured

And returned home and though honored

Never got solace when they slept at night

Couldn’t separate themselves from the fight

Even those that survived with no haunting pain

Don’t have the legacy of wartime gain

All those people who chose and went in battle for me

The Nobel Peace Prize

President Barack Obama, the 44th president of the United States of America and the first African-American president elected there, today receive the greatest honor bestowed on any man in the world forum when he was given the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009. This caught the world by surprise since he was only in office just weeks before the nomination closed in February of this year. The team Obama must be applauded for their foresight to take this initiative and note must be taken to the change that has overcome the nations of this world. Still in his humble demeanor, President Obama reminded the world first of the responsibilities to family

The Nobel Peace Prize

This morning he awoke to Malia saying dad you won!

He didn’t start celebrating before more followed on

Eagerly she continued, dad it’s Bo’s birthday!

Nobel Peace Prize is great but other responsibilities he had to portray

Obama always said he was first a dad

Bo the family pet was the only dog they had

Letting this Birthday past would be a major wrong

Even though this award was great he must first get along

Pets are like family and must not be set aside

Every occasion with family Barack smiles wide

And though he is humbled that the world nations believe

Change can start from ideas small men conceive

Even though he is the first sitting President in 90 years

Presented with this honor for his approach to world affairs

Rights of world citizens are in his forefront but close at home

Is the responsibility of family and Nation where ever he may roam

Zilch is the significance of personal grandeur and so he

We commemorate the tragedy of September 11, 2001 which has come to be called 9/11. I was at home listening to the morning news after being prompted by a friend to turn the television on. I could not believe my eyes. There was so much destruction all about. She remained on the phone with me but away from her television, trying to explain what had happened then before wy very eyes, not a replay, the news cameras caught a second plane as it pierce the second tower. One at 8.46 then at 9.02 obvious acts of terrorism as the Twin Towers of the World Trade Centre were brought to the ground. But while the heart of the Financial System in America, in Manhattan remained in lock down, the Pentagon received another crash to its building at 10:06am

Where Were You When

With all the chaos and fear

Horrific happenings in the air

Explosion that brought the North tower down

Real debris thrown all around

Explosion again and the second Twin Tower fell

Were you there at 9/11 in that moment’s hell

Each person below running for their life

Ran as fast as they can, a husband and wife

Even older folk panicked with this tragedy

You never seen anything like this in all history

Our nation was again the first but this time with pain

Under the best of protection, terrorists can reign

With years of deception and shrouded right here

Here in the bowels of our country in that dreaded year

Eight years ago they changed how we go

The Time To Say Thank You

The following Acrostic Poem, though fictional, is base on the lost of a close friend and having the chance to say Thank You. Too often we lose love ones and do not have the opportunity to have those last words with then. Senator Ted Kennedy held on to life long enough to give us all the opportunity to say good-bye, unlike his other brothers whose deaths came so tragically. President Barack Obama said we were given this amazing man, who because of his accomplishments, can easily be considered the most critical person to our progress in immigration, civil rights, education, health and so much more. His most recent pursuit was for Universal Health care and for this he passed the proverbial torch

The Time To Say Thank You

The dream shall never die

He clench my hand, I started to cry

Edward said I’m passing the torch to you

Then he smiled and I knew

It was soon going to be that time

My friend was saying good-bye, but I’m

Emotional with tears and could hardly say

The one thing that mattered most today

Over and over I rehearsed what I would do

Such words I would say, with appreciation too

And though we all knew this time would come

Yet, it’s here and my lips are dumb

The hours of preparation make no sense to me

Hours wasted rehearsing what should come naturally

And then in a prayer I asked for the Lord’s hand

Not just for guidance but that I’ll on His command

Most people may not fully appreciate the difficulty in getting legislation passed. Well, if you can’t, think about the trouble the Obama’s Government seems to be having with the Heath care Bill now

The Lion Of The Senate

This death, although we tried to prepare

Has grabbed tightly, people everywhere

Every political figure and every constituent

Lost this iconic figure and his needed involvement

I watched closely and read how he

Organized bipartisanship and caused both sides to agree

No other senator served in this way

Only he made crossing sides seem okay

Forty seven year he worked hard to enact legislation

The Cancer, Disabilities, Civil Rights Acts. Nationality and Immigration

Health Insurance, Children’s Health program, Mental Health Parity

Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, most recently

Senator Kennedy worked with President Bush, the two parties combined

Enacted in 2002 an educational Act, No Children Left Behind

Numerous other bills, over 300, in his political odyssey

Are now part of the Lion’s great legacy

Ted passed the torch to Barack before he passed away

Expecting Americans will enjoy Universal Health Care soon, one day

The Kennedy family has been riddled with tragedies. The history books are crowded with the many tragic incidences that described this family. Yet with all this, their contribution has been enormous. They never stopped trying to help, to change. Only one of the brothers lived to have grey hair, yet these boys will always be remembered for their grandeur. Ted Kennedy died Aug 25 before midnight. On his dying bed he was living one of his passions. He was trying to get changes in legislation passed that would see his prompt replacement. My deepest sympathy goes out to all the Kennedy Family and friends

Shook their hands and reached across the isle

Edward “Ted” Kennedy was versatile

November 7 in 1962

Assigned to the Senate and from there this icon grew

Tragedy came to his brothers very early

Oswald shot and killed JFK then Sirhan shot and killed Bobby

Remorse clouded Ted’s good judgment they say, over these 5 years

Emotions overcame Ted and little could dry his tears

Driving from a party in ‘69 his car broke a bridge

When it overturned in the water, he escaped and fled to a ridge

Abandoning the accident where his passenger had drown

Darkness plagued Ted and he needed great light

Mounded himself into work and there shone bright

Over the next four decades his records would show

One man who became an icon that both sides will know

Reached out first as a friend to all in the House

Encouraged all other Senators to dispel political grouse

Then get to the root of the problems before they decide

Even chose to stand in the way before them, if tempers will collide

Decades of work, he wrote over 300 bills

Kept busy, they called him “The Lion Of The Senate,” for his skills

Enormous contributions he made to affect all Americans’ lives

No other Senator has done more, I hope his legacy survives

It is very easy to convince people that those with better facility will give them greater care. The problem is that I have seen fancy doctor prescribe expensive unnecessary test with one purpose in mind. In fact, many surgeries are elected that may not have been necessary procedures. Isn’t it funny how almost all doctors portrayed by Hollywood are more lovable when they take no personal gain from it, when they have no ambitions of grandeur or wealth? Funny how the one great money making doctor moved away from the city to live in the countryside where he open a practice and offer all his services free of charge to all Everwood. It is profHannity to mix money with medicine, as we know; the greatest healer of all sought no monetary gain

Motivated By Money

My illness exposed me to doctor who

Only seemed interested in the money they accrue

Tonight in regular profHannity the TV host suggest

If doctors are not paid top notch money expect mediocre test

Viewers were asked to believe that the young doctors who pursue

Ambitious salaries will take better care of you

This can’t be so from what I have seen

Every doctor motivated by money seem to act mean

Doctors who quickly operate because you can pay

But never concerned that diet can take your trouble away

You can’t expect such doctors to forgo good surgical money

Making decisions to treat patients more inexpensively

On TV we met most doctors that chose to work without pay

Nursing patients to live beyond another day

Efficiency comes best from caregivers who aren’t economical scholars

You get better care from doctors not seeking the almighty dollars

Protesters With Guns

In an interview one speaker said that the people sense a change is coming about and that they don’t take too kindly to removing them from they comfort zone. I seem to remember Obama saying it differently during his campaign in 2008. In fact Obama was scoffed for the use of the word bitter, but I agreed at the time. He, not wanting to separate his public took it back. Well, what are they now if not bitter? And are they not clinging to their guns?

Protesters With Guns

People who sense change sometimes act

Riotous against anything rather fiction or fact

Obstructing progress to improve they own lives

Taking up guns and replacing their knives

Economy is hard and health care strained

So Government proposes a cure, so why did they complained

They were conned by haters into believing it would

Euthanize granny with Death Panels, clearly the Bill is misunderstood

Regardless to the efforts of the President and his team

Such bitterness pour into our streets with actions extreme

Watered from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants

I would not believe this was Thomas Jefferson’s aspirants

That men would wield guns before their President

Have a misguided fortitude that it makes them independent

Governor once and President would be Palin planted a seed

Under her mischief the bitterness would feed

The Right To Bare Arms

It concerns me that we have so much regulation on so many other things that are harmless and now allow something as potentially volatile as caring a very visible side arm in public and worse, at a politically charge meeting. Why all the checks of people going into office buildings, air craft and all the others. This Right To Bear Arms has now blown out of proportion and I think its interpretation should be re-examine. Surely this right is with held when we are going into court rooms, Government buildings, schools and many other places. Why then is the right not with held at the President’s town Hall meeting?

The people are not bitter Obama, with guns on their hips

Holstered during their rallying trips

Everyone can within the law demonstrate

Rights to carry these weapons as they participate

Imagine such civil unrest that these

Go church with side arms strapped above the knees

How worrying to see students on our corridors

Turning out like Billie the Kid to resurrect more horrors

The parks where we go to meditate

Or walk our dogs, gun fanatics now populate

Brothers now scaring brothers if when they open the door

Are people packing semi-autos and some packing more

Rubbish, this must be rubbish to hear

Every one by the law can choose to wear

A gun while present in a politically volatile crowd

Restricting guns at other grouping will soon be disallowed

The Police Acted Stupidly

Imagine the conversation in the USA was about Health Care and suddenly twisted to race because a Black Professor from Harvard who lectures about race is arrested in his own home by Sergeant Crowley because a neighbor saw him breaking into his own home. If the neighbor was close enough to see the incident, why doesn’t the neighbor also know that the professor is a disabled Black man who walks with a cane and therefore recognized him? Given it was dark and they couldn’t see properly, why doesn’t the police quietly knock on the door to establish contact? Why the, “Step Out” routine. If they can’t go in then why would they expect a burglar to come out?

The Police Acted Stupidly

The President dared to say what he can

He described actions and not the character of the policeman

Even with his measured and careful word

People attacked what they think they heard

On that night when the arrest was made

Lawman, who trains other acted stupidly, I’m afraid

Invading ones own home, how could this be?

Could a man jimmying his own lock be described as guilty?

Even when he says to the police he’s the lawful owner

Are there no checks that would verify this, is there no procedure?

Can I expect that had this man been a White

That he would’ve been meted out that same treatment, that night?

Ever considered the mood you would have been in

Disgusted from your circumstance now the police, outside, beckoning?

Sir! Get out the house! And you asked, Why? Cause I’m Black?

This is no reason for the police to get out of whack

Using a cane, standing 5’5”, with proof of ID

Police surely could’ve walked away, even without an apology

I agree with the President and think our trained policemen

Diffuse many more volatile incidents, so why not then

Locked emotions, Professor Gates and Sergeant Crowley

Years of racial mending being broken because the police acted stupidly.

Did You Cry To See That Fly Die

There was a bug in the White House but President Barack Obama destroyed it with his own hands. This is one time that bug would have preferred to have just been a fly on the wall.

With great precision the President was able to take it out even with his less dominant right hand. Since then there was much talk, especially from PETA who have been very critical of what they consider a very inhumane show of the previously undisclosed side of the President.

Did You Cry To See That Fly Die

Dastardly act PETA say

Immoral show of humane decay

Destroying any life, how could he

You saw it, they showed it on TV

Outrageous and shameful

Uncaring and disgraceful

Catching the fly could’ve been done humanely

Rush! He could have shouted to his security

You didn’t have to see the cruelness

They could’ve stopped to get rid of the pest

Oops! Did I say pest when I should have said fly

Some didn’t think this harmless insect should die

Even though he tried to chase it away

Even though we all could hear him say

Things like, get of here! before he raise his hand

Hit it with precision like he was always in command

And with respect he took a tissue to remove the bug

Took it up before it dirtied the rug

Flying Little Insect Exterminated Swiftly

Like this President does all things accurately

Yet PETA finds something to say, why

Did You Cry To See That Fly Die

I wonder what if it were a tick, mosquito, a louse or a flea

Even these are animals too, so would PETA have screamed cruelty?

Remembering Tim

Tim Russert was one of the best TV broadcasters is not the best. He showed his total devotion to the task at hand by always ensuring that all the research was ready and in queue for those surprise questions that he snared his unsuspecting guest with, just as they started patting themselves on the back. It has been a year now since his passing and I wish to pay this Tribute to Tim Russert as I remember the irreplaceable lost to TV, his family and friends, the world and me.

Remembering Tim

Remorsefulness I could feel no more

Everything is different than before

My thoughts now are the wonderful memories

Episodes when he interviewed celebrities

Meet the Press was a great addition to my Sundays

Dialogs well research and presented in fresh ways

Ever political leader invited for a chat

Respectfully grilled to discern fiction from fact

I think I learnt more from these interviews

No twisted focus and distortions as in the news

Got the fact straight once and for all listening

Tim’s Christian nature brought an unusual christening

Violence Is A Dead End

What ever we do, if we are to be on the path to world peace, equal rights or more civic unity then the answer is not violence. Wars were fought years ago to settle any differences or misunderstandings between groups of people with conflicting beliefs and loyalties. We have in history a war fought because of something as trivial as an ear. President Barack Obama in his speech at Cairo today demonstrated the many similarities in people who think themselves so different. Why then are we fighting? And if we are destined for progress why choose violence? Violence is a Dead End.

Violence Is A Dead End

Very many listened from many countries too

I watched as again he sculpted history in his Cairo debut

Obama is never surprising but my admiration grows

Learning each time the wisdom of what he knows

Experience is a great teacher but faith is best

No doctrine has every superseded its test

Countries in their pursuit of freedom and rights

Exterminate other countries in brutal fights

Islam and Christianity have similar belief

So why do these religions sustain so much grief

As a young boy in Indonesia where people were predominately Muslim

Didn’t prohibit the Christian few from their worship, didn’t stop him

Even though he was but a boy he fully understood

A people shouldn’t be stopped when their values are good

Do on to others as you would have that they do onto you

Explains the paths of these religions and there are others too

No future lies ahead when religions are identified by cruel trend

Things done differently make sense, especially when the way they were done before proved insufficient and unproductive. We all wanted to see change but we are not all able to identify with the new turns and twist change requires. Going down a new way means cutting a new path, nothing is paved for you not even broken twigs or crushed grass. There is nothing to follow, just trust and faith. At some time you have to let go.

Roads of uncertainty, in fact not even a path

Every step we take, every row of the wrath

Nothing there to guide us but faith and trust

Each decision is his and so we must

Give him the opportunity to lead the way

All our efforts before him had led us astray

We should start calling our leaders name every time they make a decision that we object to. I learnt this lesson early in life. We don’t know the way out of the problem and most of us are not prepared to take on the role of leader but yet we stay at a comfortable distance criticizing every step.

Romantic trip on the Jet and they were criticized

Engaged in multilingual talks and he was ostracized

Noticeable hand shake and a smile with Hugo Chavez

Erupted in disapproval now distrust for all he does or says

Going to the Muslim world to speak where he’d never done before

And nominating his Supreme Judge Sonia Sotomayor

Delivering a commensurate speech at a military parade

Every thing President Barack Obama does makes him the Renegade

The Voices At Arlington Cemetery

The millions of people who had died for the freedom of America like in Arlington National Cemetery and many lie in unmarked graves. Though the cemetery is often peaceful and quiet, there is one day in particular that there are crowds of people queuing up to get in. Now, on this Memorial Day with the testing of missiles by the North Koreans, there are some Americans eager to go to war again. Thankfully we have a leader like President Barack Obama who believes in diplomacy first.

The Voices At Arlington Cemetery

Today I shed quiet tears

Had a sadness like previous years

Emotions still overwhelm me

Veterans pass by but its like they can’t see

Old friends congregate and one of them says

I lost my friends in enemy bays

Couldn’t find them when we converged

Enemy fire destroyed our vessel as it emerged

Sometimes the stories are dismal and confuse

All the details twisted, the veterans are bemuse

They try to remember but it’s all blank

All they talk about is the approaching enemy tank

Rocket fire was rampant and whistled by

Lieutenant as brave as he was, he wanted to cry

I saw puffs of smoke that swallowed my friends

None survived the blast and now fate sends

Good men to unmarked graves and no one knows

The identity of the men who lay in Arlington’s rows

On Memorial Day many come to honor their lives

No one even knows their children , their wives

Can’t speak with familiarity by the graveside

Eyes are teary though they don’t know who had died

Makes me teary too cause I clearly see

Every friend who returns here religiously

They march slowly and sometimes whistle the Taps

Empathetically they often remove their caps

Remy, gravitates to my strange grave with our kid, not alone

Youth tore me up, he placed items on my unmarked headstone

CIA - Central Intelligence Agency

Recently there was a statement that suggested that the CIA lied to the Congress of the United States of America. This has met with much discussion and even appeals for Nancy Pelosi having been the person accusing the CIA, to resign. Maybe I’m mistake but is this, the same CIA that operates under a cloak of deception. That has employees who lie to their families about actual being an agent. Isn’t it also the CIA that supplied information to the last administration into a pointless war?

Everybody knows the Agency is built on deception and lies

Nancy didn’t know her husband of 10 years

To be Collaborating In Assignations, not like what he appears

Ronald Comes Into Airports and with the greatest of ease

Arranges to pass through without examination for disease

Like a Conceal Identity Arranged this special pass

I Can’t Imagine Allowing some Contaminations In, Alas

No one should have the kind of clout

To keep Compromising It All as they travel about

Effectively transferring disease like the Swine Flu

Let this epidemic become pandemic by the stupidity they do

Like my friend who Covertly Indulges Adultery

Incorporates his Creative Inventive Aliases for infidelity

Government’s Clandestine Indecent Actions in guise of work

Evil man calling himself patriotic but I call him a jerk

Night and day he goes about in his double life

Cold Ignorant Asinine fool who lies to his wife

Every one working there or at least the majority

Are working in a Corrupted Intolerant Agency

Government people trained to deceive with lovers glances

Every one of them Coming Into Acute circumstances

Never Could I Agree to a job that requires such deceptions

Change I Accepted and now most Countries Imagine Americans

The first lady of America holds more power in her hand than you know. Yes we all know how women can manipulate their men, but this has nothing to do with that. Michelle has managed to captivate the hearts of the world now that they have all given her a chance. She has gone from “unpatriotic” following the distorted sound bytes of her “For the first time.. I’m proud of my country” speech, to become one of the most beloved Americans ever. It all came from her, back down to the unprecedented hugging of the Queen. Oh Michelle, my belle!

Mighty is the power of America’s first lady

It’s not because of her status through the Presidency

Cause many before her has held this place

Her power transcends marriage status, creed and race

Eras have passed and we’ve never seen a close facsimile

Listens to the aristocrat and the layman equally

The National Day Of Prayer

The first Thursday in May was set aside since 1952 by Congress for the National Day Of Prayer. It was over the last 2 terms that President George Bush started making a greater Public show of it by having specially selected Christian and Jewish leaders to the East Room of the White House where he would give a short speech preceding prayers from chosen leaders.

The truth is, these prayers were for the people and not to the Lord. The same prayers for the country lead them into the war in Iraq. For the same reason we dress modestly, especially in church is the same reason we shouldn’t knowingly have cameras inspecting and reporting on us during the baring of our souls to the Lord. Actually, it’s even deeper than that!

The National Day Of Prayer

There is great sanctity in prayer

How we do it and where

Ecumenical services are more for men

National Committees choosing when

Assembly is appropriate for public display

To give an elusion they communally pray

I believe when we pray we must bare our soul

Open our heart to God and give Him the control

No interruption or distraction we should deliberately make

And so cameras and mics can make prayer fake

Lots of my friends differ with me

Don’t see the harm in praying publicly

And with the technology to spread prayer far and wide

You’re being sanctimonious if in prayer you hide

Once I bare my soul, the greatest essence of me

Focus on my Lord to pray earnestly

People should understand the emotions I feel

Reverence beyond description as I bend and kneel

And understand I would sooner walk naked through the street

Yes naked, before I pray with cameras set at my feet

Ecumenical services for the people but don’t mock the Lord

Burger Tips From Barack

Read the news of President Barack Obama’s stop over at Ray's Hell Burger and you will be surprised at the range of opinions. The first thing I thought about was the insecurity of eating at a public place like this. I have always been a little paranoid about eating out but now with all the talk of Swine Flu, how did he managed to get Joe Biden to come along with him. But our President speaks volumes in these little gestures and whether we see them or not they are working at healing the Economy and the mood of the American. Those who dislike the President seem to be more concern of the idea that he is President than the man he really is.

Burger Tips From Barack

Barack and Biden had a touch of “burgermania”

Used a motorcade and arrived in Arlington, Virginia

Ray's Hell Burger was their host

Got it all from off a neuter Blog post

Early this morning I saw a video

Realized it was a photo op, another political show

Then something else dawned on me

I wanted for the whole world to see

President Obama left more than his $5.00 tip

Showed more than was portrayed on the video clip

For getting in line he showed that we

Regardless to position in society

Our behavior should remain the same

Manners to wait, humbleness, patience and with no shame

Barack thought of the importance of spending money

At any small man’s store, the neighborhood grocery

Reminded us that even the workers behind a Burger counter

Are equally opportune to meet nobles in social demeanor

Careful whether behind or in front a counter to do this

The East Room of the White House was the venue for a concert held in congratulations to Stevie Wonder who had been presented with the highest award an entertainer can achieve, the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.

President Obama said in some jest but with a gaze to the First Lady for apparent approval, that if he didn’t agree on Stevie Wonder’s music he wouldn’t have been accepted by his wife.

The Address To Congress

I watched and was in absolute awe. President Obama seemed so warm and friendly even when delivering harsh, truthful facts. The doctor before he is able to deliver his remedy, first needs to inject a large, painful needle and so he ups his bedside manner to help you tolerate the pain. I saw the needle go in last night and there was scarcely a flinch. Since then I have heard some of the republicans try to dissect the speech and they have made some very pitiful assessments.

The Address To Congress

Tuesday night at 9:00pm was his address

He had the first joint session before the Congress

Economic challenges the Nation needed to face

And people needed to dispel underlying bias of race

Drive out the old standards and introduce the new

Do all it takes to usher in a fresh era’s debut

Responsibility and cooperation are foremost in his plan

Every citizen has a part to play and must do all they can

Students no longer will drop out from schools

Schools to be equipped with the best teaching tools

Tools including the best equipment and best teaching staff

Oratory genius spoke for an hour without a noticeable gaffe

Combining the Recovery Act, the Stability and Housing Plans

Obama will be meeting what the country demands

Necessary measures will be taken to stop economic downturns

Government will apply taxation to ensure every man earns

Runaway spending and fiscal deficits must come to an end

Economical health will be restored as global acceptance mend

Senators, Governors and all representatives must be accountable

Steering this Nation on its new course to Economical Survival

Many of us make plans every year to stop doing those bad habits we developed over the years. The problem is that making resolutions has become a bad habit too. Every year people make resolutions only to break them, within weeks. I think if we are to progress as a Nation, we need to improve on the individual level. Sure, we may be much better than many of our friends but are we the best we can be? Who knows their real potential and why stop and good or great even?

Resolutions Of Faith

Resolve this year to be a better you

Endeavor for progress in all that you do

Show others your good side and be your best

Open your heart but get baggage off your chest

Let good thoughts in and shut bad thoughts out

Use the spirit of discernment whenever in doubt

Take time to listen to your fellow man

Inspire those around you to follow whenever they can

On those occasions when it’s all left to you

Never haste to do the things that you do

Share your concerns with the Father, He’s everywhere

Once you call on Him, He will draw near

Faith is the substance of things hoped for

For it to be realized love yourself but the Father more

And your deeds will succeed as you walk in His way

This Race

There has been so much too and fro about whether he is or his not. Has no one chosen to listen to the man? Are they all comfortable listening and believing all the divisive slurs on this patriotic man who happens to be Black? I didn’t notice skin color until they all insisted, now they want me to believe their negative things about him. I look and I listen and yes, I do hear his oratory ability although some have criticized that too as his ability to read a prompter. What ever he does, he is criticized by the few that will not listen. None are as blind as those who choose not to see.

This Race

There has been much divisiveness and polarizing ado

He’s been treated unfairly by McCain and Palin too

I listened as they tried to reduce Barack

Slurs of narcissist, terrorist and he’s an elitist Black

Recently he’s a socialist and some even call him

A sexist, misogynist and an unpatriotic Muslim

Call Barack all these divisive terms but they will never derail

Every positive seed he has planted on his Campaign trail

Change We Need

It seems like we are prone to repeat our failings and although we know that we are headed over a cliff, we walk like proverbial lemmings. Then, a once in a life time opportunity is before us in the likeness of a giant mirror, reflecting an image of ourselves that if foreign to us. Barack Obama shows us how we can see our future selves. He teaches a politic of change and makes clear the Change We Need.

Caught in a war that never should be

Having multiple strains on our economy

And the last 8 years lost in direction

Now Wall Street has the country facing depression

Government corruption with misdirected loyalty

Ear marks and pork barrel spending on frivolities

Washington owned by big business

Every decision controlled by the lobbyist

Now we have this great opportunity

Election Day we can control our destiny

With just 12 days to go Barack Obama made a quick stop in Indianapolis, Indiana and then hurried off to Honolulu, Hawaii to be at his ailing grandmother’s side. The ever so dutiful Barack said he didn’t want to repeat history as was with his mother and not be there. With polls threatening to go down in his absence he feels his obligations to the lady who raised him from his early teens.

I see the trip home as a show of dependability

Noble devotions and unquestionable loyalty

Dedication to what’s right and unselfish

I see his going home as the people ultimate wish

Americans have been asked to, repeatedly

Notice the man vying for this Presidency

And ask yourselves who really is Obama

Palling around with questionable folk who hate America

Obama is a Muslim and refuses the wear our flag

Loves the poor he says but for who does his tail wag

I know it all nasty talk, this trip speaks his soul

Tried, Tested and True

Have you ever considered running for Presidency of the USA. Do you realize how much investigating will be carried out? Your family too will be scrutinized. But the tickler of it all is your associates, no matter how close or distant the bonds are between you and them. The truth of it all is that we all have something in our past that may look questionable under such careful scrutiny. When we look at the two Candidates this closely, test results are very clear to me. Barack Obama’s although he has some bumps along the way had always made decision that showed his integrity. He was never hot off the cuff and running to out fires not yet started.

Tried Tested And True

There is much ado about who can

Really be the peoples’ best man

Intelligent and with diverse prowess

Experienced to facilitate certain success

Deliberately choosing to be fully tested

Tossing privacy aside for your life to be vetted

Encouraging the public to see who you are

Showing them you microscopically and not from afar

There is no Presidential Candidate in history

Equaled to Obama under such scrutiny

Dear friends the darkest sides of his past

Are associations with men whose affiliations didn’t last

None of them influenced Obama to be less than he became

Didn’t cause him to live a life of shame

There has been grilling, mud slinging and the a broken economy

Reactions have remained Presidential and cool with integrity

I didn’t get to hear much of Obama today, the news seem to be more concern with the exorbitant spending of Palin of cloths and makeup these last 3 months. Barack did manage to convene a press conference with his chief security advisors after he met with them. At this meeting he was able to dispel thoughts that the meeting was called together only because of Joe Biden’s comments about the early testing of Obama if he is elected. He also addressed the issue once there but was not able to lay this ill-timed comment to rest.

Legal disbursement of public money

Extravagant spending to outfit she and her family

Exceeding $150,000 in the three months since

Starting her campaign for Vice President and hence

Brings some questions into the public’s eye

Unreasonable to parade the maverick guy

Running around claiming to cut unnecessary spending

Giving back to the people the excess in overtaxing

Vetoing and further attempt for politician to get

Incremental draw downs for their states budget

Restricting the pork barrel and ear mark money

Golden parachutes and roads paved with honey

The ailing 85 years old lady who for some time brought him up is being released from the Hospital to convalesce from a badly broken hip bone. Expecting therefore to be off on Thursday and most of Friday, Obama is preparing to have his team continue for him. May God bless his grand mother and continue to Bless Obama in his pursuit of the highest Office

The Elections are only 15 Days away. Sen. Barack Obama and Sen. Hillary Clinton took a plane ride together as they prepared to share the platform in Orlando Florida. You may recall that there was some trouble regarding the primary between these two in Florida but now, there is no love lost. The united front made for a dynamic duo as they stumped against the McCain/Palin team whose campaign has become so dirty it’s starting to get frightening

Our challenges are too great to turn back

Removed the republicans and elect Barack

Lower wages than in a decade before

And 115,000 lost jobs here and everyday more

Now they want to insist “no home, no vote”

Don’t care that people just got the foreclosure note

Out of ideas, out of touch and running out of time

Floridians, John McCain’s change doesn’t worth a dime

Let’s understand, we are all in this together

Our Wall Street got a boost but the people needs another

The St.. Louis Misery

Today in St. Louis, Missouri there’s misery. But this is felt throughout the whole U.S.A. Many of the States are experiencing the onset of a Recession, but the Republicans would want us to believe that they can, through the team of Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin, avert all the problems of the economy and even balance the budget within 4 years. If you can believe that then you can also justify the road to no where in Alaska and the brutal killing of wolves by a lady who claims that life is so important is should under no circumstances be terminated. Wow! Then poor wolf never had life and its pups waiting somewhere don’t even exist. Barack Obama has put forward a better argument to end the misery in Missouri, the rest of America and touch also on so foreign territories.

Don't Get "Cocky!"

During the primary for New Hampshire, Obama was guaranteed a win by the polls but Hillary found her voice and the rest is history and a valuable lesson for Barack Obama. He can never take the people for granted and certainly not the system. With 19 days to go he may have climbed the highest steeple but if he is to win the race he now has to descend a tight rope to the other side.

Don’t Get "Cocky!"

Democrats have the lead but there are still 19 days

Obama in advising his Campaign, here’s what he says

New Hampshire was an example in the primary

The polls thought I was sure to win but alas no victory

Getting “cocky” at this time is setting up to lose

Every voter is careful with the man they’ll choose

The work up this hill was very rough

Campaigning on the trail was unusually tough

On this day and at this time we can’t afford to relax

Can’t hold off the throttle, we must press on to the max

The assumption that Barack is not catering to the needs of the people is farcical. Now, to make it all seem like a redistribution of wealth and if it were to presume that this would be a bad thing, giving all people in America a fair chance is not understanding the needs of the country. Given that the increase in taxes is not over 5%, I wonder why the rich seem so threatened.

Ostracize my policy as if you knew

No penalties will be charged to plumber Joe

Or how could you sit with that grimacing smirk

The 26 times they mentioned Joe the Plumber one would think that he was the basis for the debate. If he had fallen into the 95 percentiles which qualify as the regular Joe or the middle class, I would have understood but in his own words “if you are successful” should you be penalized. Joe the Plumber doesn’t want to give back to the country that has mad him successful and would prefer to think it as Socialism. How selfish Joe!

Obama and McCain had their final debating fight

Reached in to define theories to the max

Joe Wurzelbacher was the prime example of the tax

Observers thought McCain came out the better

Fate After The Debate

The polls after the debate show that Barack Obama is the clear front runner. Many believe that he came out tops in all the debates. I think that with his obvious skills that he should win more convincingly over a debater with such an obvious lack of skills. Take the now infamous line “Sen…I’m not President Bush, if you want to run against President Bush you should have run ..4 years ago” There should have been no pausing and the retorts should have been many. And this Joe the plumber could have been silence immediately. But Obama was still very effective.

Fate After The Debate

Foreign affairs, healthcare and the economy

All Independents wanted to hear what would be their policy

The National debt, housing, abortion and tax

Energy, any of these, discussed to their max

And what they got was the time being used

For thoughtless exchange on topics abused

The Bill Ayers saga and Acorn too

Every reference outplayed, everyone battered through

Republican wanted this kind of attack

They got what they wanted but it didn’t stir Barack

He was as cool as a cucumber and didn’t lose a stride

Every one should see he had nothing to hide

The Final Debate

The wait has come; tonight is the last time that they will debate. But what, the last two debates I thought were won by Obama but the Republicans thought differently. It seems that there will always be these differences of opinions. Win or lose, I hope that Obama can continue to debate the “kitchen table” issues and shy away from personal ploys. Of course, I don’t want him to appear like a coward and don’t hit back.

There is much anticipation on what they should speak

How the pundits were speculating all this week

Even the young kids who are unable to vote

For school projects were taking this historic note

I like most will be glued to the TV

Not sure which station yet, but there’s where I’ll be

There has been lots of talk from lots of people about how a Barack Obama Government would treat Israel. Apparently it doesn’t matter what Obama says since he cannot be trusted, at least not by the American who are afraid of a Black man running the Government. It doesn’t not matter that the Black man is a very educated and caring individual, truly concern with making the wrongs of America right. But for all that is being said, worse is when an Activist with the clout of the Rev. Jesse Jackson to be caught in dispute again. This is a man of experience and he is allowing himself to be part of smear campaigns and open mics.

Just Shut Up

Jesse opened his mouth again

Uttered words to fuel McCain

Shameless postulations about policy

Though he is not placed to be

Silence please Jesse, it’s open mic

How Low Will It Go

The divisiveness as perpetuated at the Republican’s rallies, at a time when good leadership would require a greater unity and healthy democracy to better handle the economy which affects everyone, is a terrible shame and almost treasonous. These comments are against the nation.

How Low Will It Go

House met and agreed on a 700 Billion dollar rescue

Our country was ailing and it was the only thing to do

Wall Street and Main Street were in dire straits

Lehman Brothers fell and soon others met similar fates

One after the other like dominoes they fell

Worrying investors didn’t know if they should sell

When will it stop and how low will it go

Investments dropped the lowest I know

Lots of Americans shifted their fears, it was on their face

Letting the Campaigning become one of personalities and race

I heard “Hoodlums” to describe the side polled to win

This all endorsed and brought on by the divisiveness of Palin

That One Voted

I watch all the grimaces, the looks away and heard the reference “That one” and the direct third person “He”. To end it all, the refusal to offer a hand shake and leaving the hand standing. There has been an obvious disdain followed the next day by some very steamy provoking platform talks. But with all said and done Barack won the debate yet there are so many intellect that refuse to accept this. For me this means that and this Presidency is going to bring about some serious ill feelings in America, with people behaving very extraordinarily bad.

That One Voted

There have been name calling and calling no name

Have been mud slinging and Palin’s disgusted shame

A role of attack pit-bull wearing lipstick

This hairdo, designer lens politician is John McCain’s trick

Obviously she’s placed there to be a catch your eye

No stunning beauty, it’s just that she’s not a guy

Elegance questionable with her repeated blink

Voters looking on don’t know what to think

On debate night MaCain laid the worst blow

The Prudent Strategy

My position is very decisive, there is no ambiguity but it was bas on an earlier impartiality. I think when the US was faced with the kind of economical crisis that they are going through and it was not forecasted by the McCain Government just as they were unable to see what an Iraqi war meant to the economics of America, there is only one camp to join. And the political imprudence of McCain to think that any female with a hairdo, glasses and lipstick can win over a debt drowning nation

The Prudent Strategy

This cautious plan by Sen. John McCain

Has no prudence, just the same old politics again

Electing to have a female running mate

Palin qualifies by gender but assures their ill fate

Republicans are now doomed because they weren’t prudent

Unable to rebound and win back the Government

Discreet, far-sighted, practical which of these?

Every one of them is a synonym of prudent, but please

None of them near careful or wise

This strategy can’t be describe as prudent in anyone’s eyes

Stratagem yes, there was a plan and policy

Tactic, line of attack so that makes it a strategy

Reduce impact however because they were badly made

They are now taking off their gloves and slinging mud

This to lots of you may seem like too presumptive. I disagree. What is HOPE if we can’t first dream of it. The philosophy is, if you can conceive it, then you should believe it and you will achieve it. Barack Obama had been asking us for many months now to believe with him and on him and ourselves. I believe. For this HOPE to be a reality it only means that you need believe too. The Lord’s words have guided bigger men than me and they may guide anyone who give a listening. The following was inspired from Proverbs 3:1-8 for a great man Barack Obama

HOPE – Hail Obama President Elect

Hail Barack! First Black of all Presidents

Abiding by God’s Laws and keeping His commandments

In length of days in all you do

Long life and peace be added unto you

Obama, let not mercy and truth forsake as you start

Bind them about your neck, write them on your heart

And favor and good understanding shall be

Met in God’s eyes, people here and beyond our country

Always trust in the Lord the utmost

Pride in yourself shall be of no boast

Raise your voice and in every way give Him acknowledgement

Exalt His word and He will direct your paths and Government

Self indulgence is wrong, fear the Lord and from evil beware

In these shall good health be to you and all everywhere

Do these and all the other Governmental things you know

The Pig In Lipstick

They have been much talk about pigs in lipstick and the more I hear about it the more upset I become. Surely Americans are not so easily taken in. I know that we want to be sure that we understand the people we are voting for but what exactly does it say when people on hearing these false allegations and misrepresentations of the truth, would come out publicly and put a stop to it. I would have had greater respect for Palin had she come out and say, he never meant me, he was referring to…, I thought so.

The Pig in Lipstick

The people for eight years got the same

Hogwash and mud baths and a senseless war game

Electorate trusted them year after year

Putting faith in a Government that professed to care

Instead they got a big disappointment

Got bamboozle by a misguided Government

It all became obvious, “no way, no how”, not again

Now many were crying out “not McCain”

Lots of his policies were facsimiles, and when

Investigated, his voting records were with Bush 9 in 10

Last night I tried to be as open minded as I could be, given the position I had adopted with her proud speech. The rest of the world weren’t as affected as I was and so I set it all on the back burner. When I saw her sarcasm and deliberate resurrection of issues long dead, I was convinced that she is everything she said she is, a pitbull wearing lipstick.

Always believe them however bizarre

Like a woman who to millions will confess

I’m a barracuda, a pitbull in a pretty dress

No lady who claims to have high scruples

Should be proud of promiscuity which lacks morals

Or when opposing candidates who say they’ll leave kids out

I’m sorry but I can’t agree that family of public figures is not fair game, especially when what is reveal is the truth. When Britney’s sister was exposed to have been a pregnant teen, all the news stations were milking the story. People even wanted to send the father to jail. I don’t agree with abortions, it is killing and I can’t believe in taking a life. Yet many are eager to send their folk off to wars to kill. And if public figures are going to be examples to the rest of the world, shouldn’t they acknowledge the wrong turn and how they are going about getting on the right trail again? And what is so proud about adolescent pregnancy, a thing which threatens the survival of our moral society.

Promiscuity is a great immorality

Risking unprotected sex is inviting fatality

Organized cover-up is deceitfulness

Undisturbed by any of these is shameless

Daughter is but 17, wasn’t she taught

All the things of which she ought naught

AIDS, HPV or any of the other maladies

She must have been guided by a firm hand

Keep away from sex, you’re too young to understand

Now tell me why are we proud of what she’s doing

These words started his speech last night

His humble acceptance to take on the fight

Put an end to the degradation of the Economy

Return America to the its pride and stability

Obama is patriotic and if his words be true

For change to happen “this election is about you”

Oratory great and his passion is pure

United States can’t live like the eight years before

No way, no how, not again, not McCain

Democrats wouldn’t allow this economical pain

Gas prices crippling and healthcare too high

Republicans seem clueless about the measures to try

Afghanistan is the hub for terrorist’s activities

Then why are the troops still fighting the Iraqis

It’s our moment in time, there is no turning back

There’s too much to do but first we must elect Barack

Undo the wrongs that the old regime has done

Disengage the troops from a battle that can’t be won

Educate all our kids, there’re our futures for this country

This Was The Moment

Barack Obama made another awesome speech to the nation when he acknowledged his moment in history to be the first Black Nominee from one of the substantive political parties in America. But, the world saw it too and the cries we resounding. One magazine stand was covered in 50 or more different magazines all with different shots of Barack. I was touched when he came out before a humbling crowd of over 15,000 in the stands and 17,000 outside and the millions all over the world and he hugged and kissed Michelle and received a gentle knuckle shake and he then guide Michelle away with a pat on the butt. Watching these two is like music to my ears and listening to Obama’s speeches is a beautiful choir singing. Obama identified that this moment of change represents a number of great moments to follow. America has had many great opportunities in the past to make things right and they were denied. I pray this time they are and remain on track.

This Was The Moment

To many it was another MLK speech

His oration was captivating and to all it did reach

I saw his Presidential poise as I’ve been seeing before

Such a deliberate attempt to reach both rich and poor

When the world heard him there was approving outcry

Africans, Japanese, Europeans all think he’s the guy

Such a vision for the future that begins right there

The end of one historic journey to begin another everywhere

Healing can start from this moment in time

Earth and oceans cured, sickness and crime

Moments of change with dominoes accuracy

Obama wants jobs for the jobless and all people equality

Maybe it’s asking much of one man man

Except he’s asking all of us to understand

No one is hopeless or without a voice

Together we can change the world if we make this our choice

Bitter Sweets

This was a night that should have gone down in history differently. I believe too much bitter and too little sweet spoilt the significance of one of America’s biggest days. I was so displeased by it, I didn’t pen these thoughts until a day later for fear that I may be as bitte3r as those who pretend not to be.

Bitter Sweets

Barrack wan the Nomination but there’s little victory

It seems defeating Hillary was devastating to the party

The loyal Hillary voters prefer to Vote McCain

They would defect and in 2012 come back again

Eager to see a woman gain the Presidency

Retired people and blue collared workers snuff the DNC

So now they are dangling the proverbial carrot

Want Hillary on the ticket or there’ll be a riot

Except Hillary comes out on Saturday

Endorses Obama in a convincing way

This division will hurt the DNC’s campaign

She needs to stop this exodus of voters to McCain

The results hardly mattered any more. He needed just 4 to clinch the nomination. And it was done, history was created but one thing leaves me wondering. If Barack had paid more attention to his finish game and secure more wins in the last 9 primaries maybe Hillary wouldn’t have had the contentions on which to boast. She defeated him in the number of people who voted for her and will go down in history as the candidate with the most ever popular votes. How unfortunate but still, I would not fault Barack’s decisions.

Although it wasn’t critical for him to win

Reactions varied when she asked what does Hillary need

The Finish Lines

Although they when against the expectancy of many and shifted the finish line, Barack soon managed to break that one too. He ended up that night with about 2156 votes and needed only 2118. It became obvious that where ever the line moved to he was prepared to cross over it. The same however cannot be said of Hillary since she was yet to get over the original mark

They agreed from very early on 2026

Hillary signed in acceptance at that point it’s fixed

Except she never expected a dark horse from behind

Finishing with such glory, not someone of his kind

It was hard to believe that someone so young

Nibble enough to surpass her by a political furlong

Impossible to reach unless she repudiates

Sanction to disqualify Michigan and the Floridian States

Had her petitions organized to challenge the DNC

Ladies traveled from around the country in anxiety

It was soon announced that the finish line was moved

Now they needed to attain 2118 to be approved

Excitement followed from the very next day

Superdelegates gave Obama the votes and had the final say

Fired Up and Ready to Go

Barack was sharing his story and it felt like mine and probably like yours too. Sometimes the smallest of encouragement can get you over those obstacles that may at first seem insurmountable. And like in Obama’s case, this boost of energy may be delivered in the smallest of packages from the least expected source. Remember that ever one has a voice and deserves to be heard, at least once. Change comes when we listen even the least amongst us.

Standing there all dripping wet

The morning was trying and I wasn’t ready yet

Right before me stood 20 waiting anxiously

Eager to hear my enthusiastic delivery

Nice old lady behind shouted “fired up, ready to go!

Got the room started and was stealing the show

Then I too joined in and my spirits grew like the rest

How fired up I was and ready to go to give of my best

I have seen powerful women all over the world and Hillary Clinton is unlike any. Her attempts to fit in by drinking beer makes less rather than more of a powerful woman to me. If you have to do what people do so as to be accepted, in this case join the boys club, why is she running at all. Isn’t she promoting the idea of a first woman, why then is she not starting her own club and habits? Except for her variety of pants suits, which unfortunately is an adaptation from the gents too, she has done little to preserve and represent a strong woman. It doesn’t take strong women to stand by a man during his obvious breach of marital and societal rules. In fact weak women can’t turn away. When a woman stands by her man because she is part of the few to believe his innocence, that is then remarkable strength. It requires strength to turn away from all that you have built between you when a man has wrong you publicly but little or nothing to stay with him under similar circumstance

A Decision Day

Party Unity is the focus of the DNC but according to one of the super delegates I must go by what ”my momma taught me” Donna Brazile went on to say that we must play by the rules and that you can’t change the rules in the course of the game. Some presenters also drew reference to the fact that with the announcement that the votes wouldn’t count once the primaries were held earlier than scheduled by the DNC, potential voters may not have shown up and therefore the actual votes cannot truly represent the voice of the people.

A Decision Day

Another day was not so tense

Darkness cloud the Florida and Michigan defense

Emphatic presentations for both candidates

Conference room applauding from vibrant debates

It was unclear for me, I couldn’t make up my mind

So many different positions put me in a bind

I started the day thinking divide them squarely

Obama can get 50% and 50% for Hillary

Now I understand the proposed splits

Delegates to be apportioned fairly is good politics

And yet the rules can’t be changed along the way

You would remember that I have been writing about the profanity of Hannity – profHannity, and here I continue about his latest contribution. I am so discouraged that this media person gets the right to perpetuate his kind of corruptness and to think that he is a practicing Catholic Christian. I can’t understand why he continues this 20 years stay of Obama. What about the many members of the Father Pfleger’s congregation at his church, have they been sitting down for many years, exposed to incendiary comments too or is it that this priest only adopts this questionable rant when he enters the doors of the Trinity Church? People might say things that once said may seem dumb and out of place. If they retract them, then they are being human but when we continue to fuel them, then we are the evils, remember “ forgive us our trespasses as we forgive them that trespass against us.”

And if taken out of context most of us will appear

His Uncle Was Great

Yes, the evidence shows us that it was not his uncle but his great uncle. I agree his uncle was great. To have been a part of the 89th infantry division and be apart of the troops who liberated the concentration camp at Buchenwald on April 4th 1945, is quite and experience. His heroic act cannot be repudiated and as we now know, Barack’s grandfather and his grandfather’s brothers served too. This story of patriotism should not have been diminished by the small gaff that was made by Barack. Let us all recognize the sacrifice that was made by the many soldiers who took part in the many wars before our time and those which still are fought even now. Barack was born Aug 4th , 1961 many years after World War II bit the patriotism of his forefathers course through his veins. He is great and his uncle was great.

How did we get from there to here what did we do

I heard his story of great patriotic value

Such patriotism only to be wounded with the dreaded PTSD

Unfamiliar back then but we now know this malady

Not the concentration camp at Auschwitz but one nonetheless

Camp Ohrdruf in Buchenwald they had their success

Liberating those held in dehumanized immorality

Emaciated but still breathing and longing to be free

When he saw it all he must have died inside

And when he came back home he stayed in the Attic to hide

Six months he stayed as if feeling guilty

Guilty to have freedom and never be hungry

Regretting that man would treat their brothers this way

Embarrassed by the inhumanity which caused others dismay

A lot has been said of gaffs but the tenor we can’t repudiate

My Old Uncle Bertie

They call it a gaff when you refer to you great uncle as uncle. What are you suppose to call him, great uncle Bertie. I call my mother’s cousin, cousin. Should I be changing that too? Are we going to want so much to find fault that we would pick on the salutation we give our family members. I remember so more harsh flaw that were base on the individuals’ recollection and not information handed down, but who cares, those were gaffes, let’s leave them alone.

My Old Uncle Bertie

Mom told me, that’s how I know

Yonder placers where my uncle would go

Once he started out he would travel far away

Learning about uncle Bertie was a game we would play

Dad was mostly gone so he would never partake

Uncle Bertie was his hero though the stories seemed fake

Names are blurred now, I can scarcely recall

Cause when I heard them I was much too small

Looking back I vaguely remember they said he would stay

Every day for six months in the Attic tuck away

Back in Auschwitz he liberated the concentration camp

Exposed to a demeaning life which war puts its stamp

Rescue was made before my birth and the story is faulty

Taking Buchenwald’s camp on April 4th 1945, they made it free

It’s a family thing to call my great uncle, uncle Bertie

Even though I hardly knew him he was always uncle to me

I was appalled by the exit polls from the Kentucky primary which disclosed that approximately 66% of Democrat voters who voted for Hillary were not likely to vote for Barack Obama should she not get the nomination. Conversely 71% of Obama votes will vote for Hillary’s should she get the nomination. This for me is bitter.

Is This Bitter Now Sweetie?

I checked the meanings of the word bitter

Some referred to taste and others demeanor

The latter ones are more pertinent for me

Highlighted by Hillary, O’Reilly and Hannity

In every reference for weeks on Barack

Spreading distasteful or bitterness by frivolous attack

Bitter sums up mentally painful or hard to accept

It describes unpleasantly cold and the best one yet

The word bitter speaks of resentful and angry

The people are not bitter but why would they be

Eager to give their votes to John McCain

Resenting Obama after Hillary’s campaign

Not willing to give their votes to the party they back

Only Hillary if she’s nominated but not Barack

When Barack’s voters were asked, over 71% will stay

Some 66% of Hillary’s will vote the other way

When all is said and done Barack on the trail

Ensures a more positive resort without detail

Especially now even when the math makes it clear

That he is the more likely Nominee this year

I hear harsh words from her supporters and Hillary

There is much talk on the Clinton side about the votes in Florida. So much so that they include the 2.3 million to put Hillary’s count over that of Obama’s claiming then that she has the majority of votes, in fact , more votes that have historically achieved by any other candidate. This is much ado about nothing, unless, Hillary is advocating that acquisition by fare or foul means id advisable. But, this shouldn’t be surprising from a lady to vow to obliterate another nation. Do we really need to dig into her bag of no nos?

The Florida Factor

There are millions who voted in Florida

Hillary wants them counted to push her over

Even though they were warned not to bring up their primary

Florida when on defiant of the rules from the DNC

Leaders of the party knew it was wrong

Obama didn’t campaign there but Hillary went along

Repugnant to party laws but she later agreed

In a signed document that she would concede

Delegates from Florida will be counted out

And now she’s behind she wants to exercise her clout

For voters to be disenfranchised of their civil right

And their votes not included to help change their plight

Clinton thinks it’s not fair and we certainly agree

These people should not have been deceived to vote early

Obama should have also been given a fair chance to present

We would like to see Barack with a clear path to the Republicans and as John McCain warms up, he enjoys some fame. Anyway, it’s all short lived because we KO Know Our candidate and his abilities, especially his unquestionable skills to organize people. So KO – Kudos Obama

Resting Comfortably

The Senator Edward Kennedy, known to most as Ted Kennedy, at the age of 76 years was hospitalized after experiencing two seizures at his home. Within hours he was sitting up and watching sports on TV. They are still trying to determine the cause of these seizures which have already been determined as not stroke related. Our best wishes to Ted and his circle of family, friends and supporters.

Resting Comfortably

Representative for Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy

Experienced at home a medical emergency

Seizures that caused many concern

They rushed him to hospital and now we learn

It’s serious but he is resting comfortably

Now sitting up and watching sports on TV

Got visits from many who later shared

Cause of the seizures can’t yet be declared

One can expect a man of his age

Might have medical challenges by percentage

From 70 years men should be proud to be

Overtly fit for work and visibly healthy

Reaching 4 score and 10 is the treasured milestone

There is great joy reaching there and not being alone

And when challenged, to rebound with such prowess

Bellows of the extraordinary person and his uniqueness

Life teaches many lessons and treasure infrequently

Obama Sweetie

When we try to be polite and respond with affectionate names like sweetie and darling, there are a group of people out there that eager to label this as belittling. The fact is you can use a person’s true gender descript like Miss and be far insulting than sweetie. It is not in what you say but more in how you say it. Tones can mean everything and as I remember it, the entire Japanese language is based on tone and they recognize that one word can be used to mean so many different things once we change its sound. It is funny how this is so clear to my dogs who always understand which “come here” will result in food, hugs and affection or punishment.

Obviously you meant no insult by what you said

But such words were toxic from the upheaval they led

And like an astute professional you must measure the lay

Make more careful checks with what you say

All the vultures are circling waiting to see

Stumbles and slips like bitter and sweetie

Even when apologies and corrections are made for slips

I feel so much in agreement that I wish it was possible to make this term colloquial to describe the smugness of people who think they are holier than thou. A man who always seize the opportunity to spruce their good standards while trying hard to derogate good people

It’s Profhannity

I saw young Barry growing up in the poorest neighborhood

The meals may have been poor but his demeanor was good

Surrounded by poverty for most of his life

Put off big income jobs and soon took a wife

Road to riches was there but he walked the next way

Obama served his country by helping others day by day

For his arduous struggles he is called elitist

Hannity tried to convince his viewers that Barack’s a racist

Attempted to persuade us that Barack wasn’t too bright

Noting because he stayed 20 years he’s like Rev. Wright

Now Hannity claims Christianity but is he living the life

It’s an honor for a man to cease from strife

The Proverb also says every fool will be meddling

You Mr. Hannity are meddling where there’s no wrong doing

I'm Asking You To Believe

The campaign by Barack Obama had been focused on Change and as the slogan goes Change we can believe in. This change I believe is a step away from the traditional politics and politicians which seem to be serving one specific strata of society for many tears now. The first thing that is required is to ensure that the traditions of Washington are removed and that new measures are installed. But in order to make this happen we need the right man at the helm. I believe that Barack Obama is the right man but as he so often point out, he is not a perfect man and probably would not be a perfect President either but he is willing to listen and as he says it, he wants us to believe, not in him but in ourselves

I’m wide awake and very in touch

My opponent Sen. Clinton, doesn’t think this much

A long time has past, in fact much too long now

Solutions in Washington has been slowed somehow

Kept doing the same thing and failing the same

It’s time Washington stop playing their deceitful game

Negating real solutions if they are not politically expedient

Going back on promises to risk things economically transient

You have been suffering while the lobbyists take control

Of our Politicians in their liberal role

Unchecked this can force the cost of living high

In the ideal family, mothers are responsible for the culture of the house hold, the harmony in which they operate and generally the demeanor. I have seen single mothers, biological mothers and mothers that were not biological. I saw mothers who didn’t want to be mothers and strangely, I saw fathers who were functionally mothers. Now, if I were to translate the purpose of a mother into political life, then Obama will earn the distinction of being the mother of American Politics today.

Hillary is not working in the interest of the Party

At this critical time campaigning disingenuously

Putting racial significance where there is none

Polarizing the people of our great nation

Yesterday I heard her on a radio sound bytes

Making a distinction between Black and Whites

Obama she said the superdelegates must note

There’s no chance he would get the white masses vote

Her words were harsh and for once not fake

Electing Obama, she said would be a grave mistake

Racial slants had always been part of America’s history

Slavery, KKK, Civil Rights and Rev. Wright more recently

Dangerous path we averted in the pathways of time

Americans have been mending, are forgiving often sublime

You shouldn’t be divisive with the language you use

Or disruptive to the people and Party you choose

Barack like a great mother servers to unify

All his campaigning demonstrated his willingness to try

Making this country’s people unite in a very special way

Surely the electorate know what this can be

Could it be that even during a primary, dubbed by some as the Decision Day because of its potential to change the course of the game, could still find American dancing around their preferences. Even with the research information by over 200 economists, including professors, Hillary as still allowed to put forward proposals designed to increase delectability but had no foundation.

D-Day: It’s Decision Day

Indiana voted with a narrow 2 percent

The voters from Lake County determined how it went

So close it was although all night she led

Decision was made, for Hillary it was full speed ahead

Exit polls have showed where their dominance lie

Clinton gets the female, the old and the blue collared guy

Intellectual, new voter, student and the Black

Seem to be the people who most favor Barack

Indiana may have been unsure but N. Carolina was not

Obama was determined victorious at 7:30 on the dot

North Carolina gave him a 14% victory

Demonstrating their unwavering certainty

At this important turn on the Presidential byway

You would have expected greater certainty on Decision Day

What Next

The road is still long and until some things are resolved, it may prove to be dangerous up ahead. The one thing that has been constant all this time even though to many it may have seemed a bit wimpy is that Barack has stocked to his guns and have pursued the path of hope. Hillary has been changing all of her tactics throughout and she has borrowed some of Barack’s along the way. She played the Change card, used the theme chant “Yes We Can” and more. What she is now adopting is the testicular fortitude attitude. The problem is that she is ready to obliterate Iran, with all of its innocents along with the evils. I think it takes greater intestinal fortitude to stick to your beliefs even when the times are rough. Barack has managed to shoot down many before and yet he hasn’t fired a weapon.

What Next

When all has failed and you’ve done your best

Held to your values and fought a clean contest

And when the road ahead narrows with no side turn

The gas gets low and your engine starts to burn

No matter how hard you try or whatever you do

Efforts seem futile then look around you

‘Xtend your scope past that narrow margin

Party Unification

Unless we recognize that the primary campaigns still is about spreading the culture of the party and its core values and not about the kind of negative campaigning that destroys personalities, we have not transcended the great divide of politics. Today politics should be closer to righteousness than ever before. Decision made by the people for the people should truly reflect the needs of the masses and diverse strata of classes in society and can only be arrived at by being in touch. Yet as we attempt to deliver their needs with all our enthusiasm to do so, we cannot forget the humane and patriotic values that best represent our Parties and ultimately, the Nation. If at the end of the Primaries, candidates have managed to alienate each other then we have lost part of our democracy

Party Unification

Put Party ahead of your personal quest

And campaign with what is for the Party’s best

Respect Party candidates and treat them this way

There is no need to attack personalities with what you say

You don’t defame the characters your Party may choose

Use derogatory comments whilst deferring the issues

Negative remarks, mud slinging with details you don’t know

It’s not good to use them or spread innuendo

From the start show who you represent

It’s the people then the party then government

Cling to integrity and honesty, make these your tools

Always abide by righteousness and the golden rules

Then when through voting the people have their say

It’s not difficult to stand side by side the rest of the way

Only when you adhere to these simple regulations

Nominees can unify their party for the general elections

What kind of talk was that, tough talk? I don’t understand how Hillary can be comfortable with that kind of talk while at the same time promising to remove all the troops within 90 days of getting into office. Is she so cold blooded that she would be happy to obliterate a whole nation? A nation that has so many millions of people who have nothing to do with war and themselves may be under the martial control of the army should not be subjected to the same doomsday measures as their government. Is she just talking tough and not realizing what she is saying.

One use of the word bitter and he was crucified

But she wants to obliterate a nation and she’s glorified

Ladies applaud her and men think she’s got balls

Obliterate

Senator Hillary Clinton does not withdraw her threat to obliterate Iran or any country that shows any aggression against the Iraqi allies of America. I saw the response of Americans to the bitter comment of Senator Barack Obama and was shocked at the comparatively low keyed attitude to a comment as strong as Hillary’s. Do we know the implication of the word obliterate? Does any nation have 100% evil that should be swatted like flies. It is disturbing to think of the election of a President who believes it is okay to take such measures against a whole nation for the terrorist attitudes of less than 20% of its people. What ever happen to war being like a game of chess, take out the King and you win. I am happy to support the kind of Presidency in Barack who recognizes the dangers of that kind of language.

Obliterate

Once said, a person is entitled to misspeak

But to defend it is wrong and worse to reuse this week

Lots can be determined from the language we use

It can show the type of leader who will abuse

The authority and power to wipe another nation out

Eliminate, demolish, destroy them with their clout

Regardless to the country, many innocents live there

Annihilation means babies, moms, animals all life will share

The same punishment as their military, the people they dread

Eradicate or obliterate means all life is made dead

Profanity of Hannity

I can’t write half of the thoughts that came to mind and keep this in less than 20 line acrostic poem. This topic is too provocative and perhaps I might revisit it in some of my other works. I was so disturbed over the last broadcast by Hannity that I felt that if switching the television off would hurt him I would had toddle the on and off switch for the better part of the hour. How could a man by mere speculation define another base on the rants of his Rev. I know nothing of my Rev., School teacher and sometimes many of my co-workers with whom I spend 10 and more hours per day. I also have a close family member who has some values that I distant myself from but I still love my family. If The Rev. Wright is as bad as we now believe him to be and Barack is not like a pea in the same pod then Barack may be very strong in character to have avoid his ver prominent influence.

Profanity of Hannity

Putting it all into perspective I forcefully say

Rev. Wright behaved in the wrong way

On TV and when he was on the pulpit

Folk generally agreed he was inappropriate

As soon as Barack heard of this terrible disgrace

News came out and he had his talks on race

I heard him denounced the incendiary sound byte

Then disapproved of that side of the Rev. Wright

You would have thought guilt by association would disappear

O’Reilly and Hannity didn’t want it end there

For O’Reilly it’s his “fear” and balance reporting

Hannity who disclosed a strong Christian up bringing

And should therefore know the 6 “things doth the Lord hate”

Never adheres to Proverbs 6:16-19 when he does orate

No man “that soweth discord among brethren”

Is working to benefit his fellow men

The Proverbs later describe there’s honor to cease from strife

You’ll find though fools meddle to complicate another’s life

Hillary vs O'Reilly

Oh what an evil web we weave when first we practice to deceive. I have been watching how Bill O’Reilly was dropping all the positive comments for Barack Obama over the last week, I was sure to lure him into the clutches of Fox. I never wanted Barack to appear at Fox, especially prior to these primaries in Indiana and North Carolina, not because Barack can’t go toe to toe with the likes of Bill but what purpose does it serve sitting down someone so bent on destroying you under their terms. Barack went on Fox with Chris Wallace but apparently that wasn’t enough for Bill O’Reilly. Is it that he alone has a monopoly to the Fox viewers?

Hillary Vs O’Reilly

Have I missed the argument at its core

Is it everyone’s opinion that she was good, even more

Looks like everyone but me gives her a grade A

Lots of evasiveness with chuckles, a calculated display

All crafted to paint this false picture

Reaching demographics which eluders her

You’d never expect these two to plot

Vying to put Obama on the spot

So like you I dismissed this until Bill’s spout

Obama on the Miller segment was being called out

Repeating that Barack no longer can stay away

Except he wants to be their easy prey

I knew for days O’Reilly was weaving his web

Looks like he’d managed to get others “in bed”

Let me warn the Obama’s campaign to avoid this attack

You must be careful if you are going to expose Barack

The Changing Faces

I was in awe at the greatness of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright when he delivered that speech at the NAACP but shocked by some of the retorts he made in the question part of his address to the National Press Club. Why would such a brilliant man make such divisive comments at a time when we are fighting so hard to unite the races of the U.S.A. and the rest of the world? And to make such unfounded comments, like the association of the Government with the spread of A.I.D.S in the Black race. Did he even stop to think of the millions of White who died with A.I.D.S and the thousands of them who have no traceable unions with blacks?

The Changing Faces

They have trouble believing that 20 years ago

He was nothing like the man on that TV show

Except, I saw him just one day before

Cool, calm and collected, precise and sure

He was convincing and brilliant, with true artistry

And now, one day after, he was a mere mockery

Nothing had changed just hours had past

Got questioned about the YouTube broadcast

I was first impressed by his fluent parlance

Now he mocked and insulted then celebrated with a dance

God was his inspirer he said but did God change him this way

Fool them with academics then mock them the next day

And if in 24 hours such a change can be brought about

Could it be possible in 20 years he could work this out

Each of my friend behave different when they are around me

So is it not possible we all have a convenient personality?

It's Wright Or Wrong?

Will they ever let up? Barack had disassociated himself from the tenor of this conversation well before and still he is being crucified. Well, today, bruised by the ranting of Rev. Wright, he could take it no longer. What the Rev. had done was undoubtedly wrong and he couldn’t sit idly by pretending not to have heard. He came out and had another conversation with the American press and never could it have been so clear that he in no way wants to be supportive of the divisive comments of his Pastor. He did it, painfully but still the press is going for the jugular.

It’s Wright Or Wrong

I heard his speech to the NAACP and was impressed

The Rev. Jeremiah Wright gave a awesome address

So I was happy to hear he was on again

When he was hosting the National Press Club’s questioning

Rev. Wright was different and seemed only to be

Interested in exposing the divisiveness in society

Got ugly with sarcasm and his antics got proud

He was quiet on mic but his stage presence was loud

The hardships he raised had some validity

Only he falsely speculated with other things unlikely

Rebuked the Government for presumably spreading A.I.D.S

Wright says they drugged the Negro race to ensure it fades

Deficient or Different

There have been more public appearances by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and from what I see, this is a man of high intelligence and a a fantastic orator. I think we all came away learning something from his words and those who cared to listen with an unbiased ear may have recognized the truth in what he preached. It pains me that some can suggest that Barack disassociate himself from this great mind and that they would further speculate on how bad it would be if Barack became President and retain the Rev. as a friend. The development od the U.S.A depends on strong minds like the good Rev. Wright

Deficient or Different

Despite all that the Rev. Wright said

Even with the positive campaign Barack has led

Foolish men stuck in their backward ways

Intent to ensure a majority sways

Can’t accept the difference between

Indigenous native, African and European

Eagerly they spread their venomous dogma

Negating the wisdom of Rev. Wright and Obama

Their feelings are expressed through their broadcast

Over and over they’ll be featured until reasoning past

Right thinking people would want the truth

Deviant media houses hide all the proof

Instead of giving the people what went before

Fox introduced sound clips and the others the encore

For weeks the people heard the isolated clip

Encourage others to think it was straight from his hip

Rev. Jeremiah Wright was quoting words previously said

Except none of the stations featured that instead

Now people can see past the media hype and hypocrisy

The Fox Hunt

Fox had been asking Barack Obama there for an interview for sometime. In fact according to Chris Wallace, who made a count of it, it was now 772 days. Left to me I would have warned Obama against going to Fox where the people claim to be fair and balance and yet their bias is so loud, it is deafening. I dislike the constant attacks on Barack and his Reverend. Since the day they introduced the story no effort was made by fox to dig into the character of Rev. Jeremiah Wright to see if there was any credence to what Barack had been saying all along. And they never once give any other part of the video , which I now understand is available on DVD.

The Fox Hunt

Today 772 days in coming Chris got his man

Had Barack Obama to interview all he can

Exclusive to Fox and on National TV

Fox broadcast it for all to see

Once Barack was seated he was quite the part

Xtremely poised, relax, Presidential and sincere at heart

His demeanor may have shocked Christ to a respectful manner

Unhinged by this we saw him courteous to Obama

Now it’s done, Fox can say Barack was there

Those like O’Reilly and Hannity may now beware

The Interview

People keep saying that the Democrats have two great leaders both equally capable of being president of the U.S.A. I do not agree. I have compared the two candidates and indeed I did so even before the campaigning started and I was convince from as early as almost 18 months ago, that these two people were not to be measure with the same measuring stick. One is as different from the other as chalk and cheese.

The Interview

Talk if you like but what ever you say

Hillary could never had done it the same way

Eloquent and Presidential with control and poise

I see Barack as different to the traditional Boys

Nomination is soon and they all smell the fate

The folks at Fox know who the people will nominate

Even O’Reilly and Hannity at their ridiculous best

Realize that Barack has past the litmus test

Victory is his and we’re just dancing the dance

It’s all over now and Hillary doesn’t stand a chance

Elections soon will come in North Carolina and Indiana

We shall see double digits win for Senator Obama

Bitter! Who's Bitter?

Recently the term bitter has brought about much conversation in America and as expected, nobody wants to see American as being bitter. The opposite of bitter for me has always been sweet. If I’m not sweet on a thing then I must be bitter about it or some where in between. Given that in between often means a position of indecisiveness, lets assume that people are either for or against, sweet or bitter. If we are not bitter about the things that are going on in America does this therefore mean that we are sweet on the suffering that we now endure?

Bitter, Who’s Bitter?

Bitter, Who’s Bitter? Not me the great U.S.A

I may be frustrated, disturbed and somewhat dismay

Though I’ve been slow to react, I know that there is

Too many guns and shootings in malls and colleges

Economy is bad and now out of sync

Rising food cost seems faster than I could blink

War seems endless and now trillions of money

Health care as disastrous as homeland insecurity

Oil hikes threaten the very things we use

Soaring gasoline prices now determine the trips we choose

Battered civil liberties stops our charity to give

Infrastructural failings destroy where we live

Torture is questionable and many say go ahead

Terrorists deserve inhumanity and are better dead

Even though my actions are rebellious and may sometimes be

Repulsive in conduct, I’m never bitter to anybody

Getting Back On Track

I didn’t see the campaigning in Pennsylvania but I saw the demeanor of the man. Barack was seemingly out of sorts and today when I saw him it was like the man had returned. I know it must have been difficult given all the deliberate attempts by the other side and combatants to make Obama fight dirty. Barack is above it all and clearly he is Getting Back on Track

Got a call by Hillary to bring on the fight

Everything you have , she said, hit with your might

Take this opportunity to fight me dirty

Take this chance to get down in the mud with me

I was tempted to take a hand and swat this fly

Nuisance has been a bother but how could I

Give up on the belief that politics can change

Barack will not behave like a man deranged

And forget the standards we’d set from early on

Clinton may hurl her mud but for me it is wrong

Keeping a belief in the people I’ll serve

Ought to take my energies and I got the nerve

Nerve to say no to Her and walk away

Take my fight to McCain on another day

Remember after 21 debates you’ve given me the lead

And I am now walking the path you need

Call me out Hillary, throw your mud but there’s a new agenda

Great White Attack

The beach of Solana in South California saw fatal attack by presumably a Great White Shark. For year we have heard of the dangers of swimming with the sharks and my sympathy goes out to the family and friends who have lost their love one. But this all reminds me of yet another attack, that on Barack Obama. All the dangers seem the same. But our victim remains cool in these dangerous waters as he strives to keep hope alive. In spite of the personal affronts that he has endured he has managed to hold the flame up high to light the way for the rest of us. His shark though menacing will not be allowed that fatal blow.

Great White Attack

Getting closer until taking its violent attack

Reaching from below and then on his back

Engulfing him in that razor sharp bite

And crushing his bones with all of its might

Then tossing him up for all to see

Wickedly playing with his severed body

He had one moment and chose then to shout

It’s a shark people, you must get out

This monster came at him but he chose his people still

Enemies might destroy him, but hope they never will

And the brief moments they boast to show their hand

That’s the time he’d let his people understand

Though they may inflict the wounds and take my feet

All my combatants would find hope impossible to beat

Come deep, dangerous waters, attacks and back biting

Keep hope alive in this Change we can Believe in

Early Out

The traditional politics will tell others to move out of the State if you think you are not going to win. Move on to the next stop and get busy campaigning. Bit Barack is bringing a new era of governance and to demonstrate this, I wished he had stayed back in Pennsylvania and have a thank you party win or lose. Thousands of people made the effort to come out to vote and it is not their fault that their candidate was defeated; they deserve that special thank you. And if they are anything like me, although the don’t expect a win they are hopeful for one

Early Out

Expediency may dictate that you up and leave

Although you’ve been telling Pennsylvania believe

Radio broadcast confirmed you thought you would lose

Long before you got the people to choose

Your flying to Indiana was like dropping the kerchief, white

Obama I wished you’d remained till the end of the fight

Unless voters think you’ll always be there

Then why would you ask them to even care

ThisTiring Wait

They tell me it is the best way but that doesn’t make it less painful. I got to a point when I couldn’t listen to the news for fear of unfavorable standings in the polls. If you have ever watch American Idol you would know that when it comes to voting, the American can get it wrong and if you want any other evidence, look at the immediate past President. This waiting game is so unpredictable it is tiring.

This Tiring Wait

Tick tock, each day passes tick tock

Hillary’s Presidential race timed by the clock

It’s exhausting but I wait eagerly

Soon it would be for all to see

The race is over although there’s some delay

It’ll be President Barack Obama on Election Day

Republicans have had a chance and we saw what they’ll do

It’s time to make this Government new

Now we all know this, but still the wait

Going through the process of who they’ll nominate

Waiting and waiting for the inevitable

All this waiting is unnecessary and avoidable

The Old Fraternity

The mood of the people is for change, this has been the theme of all those who are campaigning, but not everyone can deliver true change and not everyone seem to understand what change means. The fact is, change cannot include adopting the ways of the old boys club. Our efforts to bring about change in our country and politics first must start with the change in ourselves. We must rebuild attitudes and through this rebuild the nation.

The Old Fraternity

Talking and colorfully representing what you say

Hillary has been guilty of reminiscing this way

Expounding on things she knows little about

On sovereignty, foreign policy and getting our troops out

Luring the competition out for a game of pool

Don’t care that her game would prove her the fool

Forcefully speaking when behind the competitors back

Right before him though she seems to fear engaging Barack

And rightly so, for if she opts to line up toes

The Senator would be in for a barrage of blows

Ending the charade that she is a better nominee

Right now at a time when most democrats can see

Nothing is cool about the old fraternity of the boys club

Ingesting alcohol and boasting in the local pub

There are many things for discussion and the people await

Pennsylvania Debate

I listened last night to the debate and found that I have even less trust in Hillary. I didn’t think this was possible since I didn’t trust her before but an attempt to justify her lies on Bosnia the way she did is reminiscent of her husband and his potential impeachment. It has become clear to all that Hillary fights like one of the traditional boys and this is when we all know that in the White House it would be life as usual. But what about the differences that are now so obvious in the Clinton’s and there philosophy towards Free Trade Agreements and a whole lot more that became obvious on the Campaign Trail

Pennsylvania Debate

Postulations and accusations, the same tired tactic

Each candidate trashing the other with twisted rhetoric

Name calling and disassociations and the mud they sling

Nomination boils down to who’ll do the most clobbering

Senators debated but the crowd was on gag

Yeomen to their restrain but for me a snag

Listening to the responses always give me the edge

Very responsive audiences show how the people will pledge

And now I must listen to the bias analysts

Never in unison when they give us their gist

Instead they differ from each other like East and West

All debates should be metered to tell us what’s best

Don’t know how we can measure the answers though

Each candidate is questioned on things we don’t know

By custom I judge them on demeanor and poise

And whether they seem sincere or just one of the boys

This makes it different this time since now there is Hillary

Except she’s been barring and cuffing like the old fraternity

He Misspoke

Recently we heard Hillary and Bill apologizing for Hillary misspeaking about her trip to Bosnia. As you may remember Bill said the poor darling was speaking late at night, just that once and she corrected it immediately. It seems Bill is still asleep since Hillary repeated a prepared speech on numerous times, many in the early morning and never apologized until a week or more afterwards. She exclaimed that she is only human and can make a mistake. Well, although I don’t think Barack’s term was elitist, demeaning or in anyway inappropriate, like an honorable man he apologized for any harm it may have caused. Mean while, Americans are not allowed to forgive real mistakes

He Misspoke

He apologized for having offended anyone

Erase it now and let it be gone

Misspeaking is like stepping right into it

It’s there even after wiping with all your grit

Some people will latch on to the offending word

So glad that it was spoken and that they heard

People will make mountains from the little molehill

Obama would take it back now, if he could but still

Keep the true meaning that he really intends

Everyone is frustrated and angry but sorry bitter offends

Better Bitter

When people are faced with adverse conditions, like the pressures placed on the people across the Midwest of America, they get tough. Like Hillary says, the roll up their cuffs but not always to pull a little harder, they sometimes fight back. It is the adverse conditions that sometimes make them more discerning and want more from the people who promise them the beds of roses. If the people were not first bitter they will never get better but sometime they need a truthful lead to get them on the other side

Better Bitter

Because the people have been there before

Everyone knows they can’t take it no more

Trusting vain promises by politicians that are all the same

Those politicians really have no shame

Expressing desires to change the status co

Regurgitating old policies the people already know

But finally comes someone with a fresh attack

In the campaign we heard these words from Barack

The time for change, Change we can believe in

The people believe that they can finally win

Elitist they call him, he is out of touch

Reports tell me Barack’s all encompassing and cares very much
