My life in a half republican family.
The campfire.

I never post in blogs, never have felt the need to. I talk to my friends basicly every day, and most anything I have to say I feel I can say to both them, and my family. At least, until one side of the families end of summer campfire just this past Saturday.
So, here's the setup. Big family get together, spend most of the night outside under the stars watching the fire burn and talking back and forth. For the most part, that's just what it was too, overall it was one of our better get togethers we've had recently, except when politics where eventually brought up. It was then that I couldn't help but sit in silent horror at some of the hate that was spewed toward Obama, and the democratic party in general. To top it off, most of the talking points being used, I quickly realized, where pulled strait out of a McCain campaign rally.
This was the night my support for Obama was set in stone.
