Will this be a good bump or seen as attaching a lost cause to the campaign. I like John Kerry, I votred for him, but he did afterall, lose in 04. Lets see if he can help us in the NE US and in Florida.

Here we are, December 24th, 2007. Who would have thought this time of the year would be bringing us the good cheer and the amazing gifts that Obama shares. I am so excited to be traveling over my Christmas Break(2 weeks for this teacher) to Iowa and South Carolina! Two early states where Obama is showing strength!
I am taking this time to give the gift of volunteering for BO and I hope that you can try to do the same. Even if you gear up with signs and supporter cards in Florida or Mississippi or Texas. ANywhere can help. Grassroots won it in 04 for Bush and it will help the Democrats cruch the GOP in 08'.
My Christmas Tree has several BO pieces on it, I have red and blue lights in the windows and Obama yard signs leading up the driveway for Santa. Maybe he can spread the word.

Scene: We are sitting at a resturant in Fort Myers Florida, its evening time on the patio and the conversation turns to politics in 08 and my involvement.
Will: I am going to Iowa to help the cacaus and the rallies there, Im going to freeze my rear off!
Friend: Id never vote for Obama!
Will: Why? Are you against him or just rather someone like Hillary or Edwards?
Friend: I refuse to vote for someone who doesnt wear a flag pin or place his hand over his heart for the pledge.
Will: Wow, you are very out of touch with reality. If choosing a candidate for the skin color, religion or if they wear a pin is really low.
Friend: The pin show their love for the country.
Will: Im sorry but IF I wear a pin and burn a flag am I still a patriot? If I wear a pin and tax the poor and I still a patriot? If I wear a pin and not help people get health care and I STILL a patriot??? I think not. Its not all about the pin.
Will again: Where is your pin? Where is your pin(looking at the next table of 4 people)?
Friend: *no response*
Will: well....? Oh and the hand over the heart for the pledge, that was a photo, it was the Star Spangled Banner, not the pledge. The Star Spangled Banner is not a song to put your hand over your heart, and if you think it is, PLEASE by all means vote for a candidate that Doesnt know that!
Friend: Wow you are passionate!
Will: Dang right!
Will again: So who are you voting for now?
Friend: Well I need to look at the positions.
Will: I can tell you everything you want to know and many topics.
Friend: Go for it.
Will: Talks about positions.
Friend: Obama it is!
Will: glad you came around, not how about a drink!
Over the past two weeks we have seen a shift in the campaign of HRC and it is a shift towards covering her A.. This is widely due to the change and vision of Barack Obama, From new polls in Iowa and NH to endorsements from leading unions and govenors. Barack has shown that we can fight off the attacks of his PAC and his religion and his experiance, but all HRC can do is fight, she doesnt take the time to set the record straight, provide explination or even answer the tough questions. I ask you, fellow Obama supporters to point these minor things out to your friends and encourage them to listen tot he details, listen to the vision and listen to the voice of change that Barack is offering.
I have been involved in the democratic process since high school. I started a club there for theatre democrats. In college I was the Campus Cord. for Joe Lieberman(not the best move in hindsight). I worked his campaign during the primaries and in NH during the primary season. After the race had run its course, I joind the Kerry camp and worked here in Fort Myers, a mainly Republican area, to raise awareness for his cause. I acted, again, as a Campus Leader for young democrats, gaining the VP seat on that organization. I worked with community leaders, state senators and other elected officials.
2008 4 was a real shame for me, because we had tried to do some much in such a short amount of time.
2008 began with a new focus, a new idea, and new options. I have joined forces with several students, teachers and community leaders, again, to make the way for change. This change is Barack Obama!!!
I have watched as people rip him for lack of leadership skills, experiance and power. Each time I hear it I show them the force, the ideas and the power that this African American powerhouse has shown thus far.
People always show me polls and I always direct them to the results, the record, the word. This has helped me change and add many young and old, working, non-working, rich, poor, healthy and unhealthy members to this cause.
Please join me today in focusing on the plan, the vision and the moment. We have an amazing opportunity to work this campaign and to win one for the average men and women in this world. No matter you age, your situation or your desire. Barack Obama has what it takes!!!
