Metro Expands Hours for Inauguration, Expects Record Rail and Bus Ridership
Metro's commemorative SmarTrip card for Jan. 20.
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority announced today that it will run rush hour service for 15 consecutive hours from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Inauguration Day Jan. 20, but the authority will charge riders off-peak holiday fares, the Post's Lena Sun reports. Metro will be open from 4 a.m. Jan. 20 until 2 a.m. Jan. 21, to handle commuters after the inaugural balls, General Manager John B. Catoe Jr. announced at a board meeting. Metro's Archives Station and the Mall entrance of the Smithsonian Station will be closed on Jan. 20. Public restrooms also will be closed, but portable units will be set up outside. Parking at Metro stations will be free for automobiles on Jan. 20, but buses must pay. The authority expects all 60,000 parking spaces to be used that day.
Metro will offer regular weekend service on Jan. 17 and 18, Catoe said, and holiday service on Jan. 19, which is Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday.
Catoe said he will ask transit authorities in Maryland and Virginia to add bus-only lanes on highways into the District on Jan. 20 to move crowds more quickly.
Notes: Newseum, which fronts the inaugural parade route along Pennsylvania Ave. NW, will also expand its hours on Jan. 20, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., with inauguration-themed exhibits.

5. HAVE "MASTER VOTING CHIEFS" IN ALL PARTS OF THE COUNTRY, ONE IN EACH STATES, WITH 4-5 ASSISTANTS, AND 3-5 PHONE LINES.
**IF AND WHEN A CRISIS COMES UP AND THE PRECINCT OR POLL CAPTAINS CAN'T SOLVE THE PROBLEMS, THEY ARE SHARP ENOUGH TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM OVER THE PHONE TO THE WORKERS, CAPTAINS, AND VOTERS CAN COMPLETE VOTING HONESTLY.
IF THESE THINGS ARE NOT DONE, AND YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE TO SOLVE PROBLEMS, MONITOR POLLS, AND VERIFY VOTERS ARE LEGAL REGISTERED VOTERS ON STATE VOTING LISTS, FROM LAST YEARS LIST, "THIS ELECTION WILL BE STOLEN BY THE REPUBLICANS AND MCCAIN WILL WIN.

White hands for Black justice is never FAVORABLE TO BLACK PEOPLE. Mayor Kilpatrick is not the only city or government official who has lied to a grand jury and all of the Whites got off. So why this "hard justice" on the Mayor. BECAUSE HE'S BLACK.
Lying has never sent Whites to jail, so why is it sending a Black to jail, and a fine of one million dollars. THIS IS EXCESSIVE. THEY ARE TRYING TO BREAK THIS MAN, AND THEY TOOK HIS ATTORNEY LICENSE FROM HIM. THEY WANT TO TAKE HIM DOWN TO NOTHING AND BROKE.
This is what Blacks have to deal with everyday in American, and Whites don't want BLACKS to talk about racism, prejudice, and unfair justice in America. This is not saying that all Whites are prejudice, because I know many who are great and not racist and prejudice. They are fair and treat all equally.
But the "power to be in charge of everything", and whom Bush put in office, main objective was to put down as many Blacks as you can. This has been the goal of the GOP for years, and they have succeeded because the DNC set by quietly and said nothing. NAACP WAS DEAD TO OUR ISSUES, BUT NOT TO THE AWARDS SHOW THEY HAVE EVERY YEAR.
SORRY FOLKS BUT...IT REAL, IT HERE, AND WE'VE GOT TO STOP IT.
His lawyer had him to plead "Guilty". If anyone knows anything about the law, then you know your lawyer tells you "TO NEVER PLEAD GUILTY". ALWAYS SAY NOT GUILTY EVEN IF YOU ARE, because the sentencing factors are different from the defendant with his plea.
Why in the world would he have to pay one million dollars for that. They never made any of those other liars to the grand jury pay a million and they committed serious crimes. Kilpatrick had an affair. Hmmm....is that worth $1,000,000.00.
What about those CROOKS WHO DEFUNCT THOSE SAVINGS AND LOANS AND BANK AND TOOK 20-50 MILLION DOLLARS, AND WAS NEVER MADE TO PAY IT BACK TO THE CUSTOMERS NOR DID THEY FINE THEM. AND IF THEY DID, THE FINE WAS 300,000 TO HALF MILLION. THEY TOOK HOME 30-50 MILLION.
THERE IS NOTHING FAIR IN THIS JUSTICE SYSTEM FOR A BLACK MAN IN THE 21 CENTURY. A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS AND OBAMA HAS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE OF "STOPPING RACISM IN AMERICAN, PERIOD.
I am glad Hillary Clinton did not try anything at the convention to get herself running again. Everyone thought she would, as I did. Because the anchors said that they knew how to win and, Bill Clinton was not ready to give up the keys to Obama, he was still looking to do something.
So I suppose Obama and his staff talked to her and asked her not to upset the convention. I wonder just how much they twisted Obama's arm to get positions in his administration. Obama can't afford a scandal from Bill or Hillary Clinton in his 'clean and decent administration.
He is tring to bring decency and morality back to the White House, which we need so badly. It need to be "Christiened Again", and Holy Water sprinkled around the whole White House, especially the President's office of the famous oral affair, where "he did not have sex with that girl".
Hillary's speech was a good one and I was very surprised. She sounded sincere and I hope she sticks to that tone.
We can't afford any scandals, frauds, mismanagements, or any other kind of problem with Obama in the White House. He is the stepping stone for more Black American men, well educated and qualified to join the ranks of running for President of the United States.
Now we see that it is not "an impossible dream".
Martin Luther King's dream....I Have A Dream...has finally turned a corner, and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

As you know, Barack Obama is traveling into all of the ‘terrible and dangerous areas’ of the world. He is going into the “TERRORIST STOMPING GROUNDS” and he is in ‘danger’ the whole time he is on this FACT FINDING TRIP. As we know, the government (s) will kill a ‘whole plane of people’, just to get ‘one man’. Remember Ron Brown…a memory that will be everlasting. Clinton was in office.
Pray at your work, driving, lunch, in our waking hour and before going to bed; at any time of the day and night, while Barack Obama is on his travel.
Remember, the KKK said that he will never get into the White House, so don’t forget them, they are brewing; the White Supremacist have to be furious of this man’s climb to this position now; the REPUBLICANS, never discount them, the VP Cheney has already shot a man while VP of USA, and many other who just don’t want this man to get into the White House. So please, lets do our job to keep him safe.
We know that God sent this man to us, and God will protect him. But we also have to do our part to let God know that we are working on his behalf also. We want to let God know that we are aware that Barack Obama is a man that He sent to turn this country around.
To bring America back to its glory in the world, our allies, in morals, principles, decency, accountability, economy, security, restore jobs, economy, our currency, our military, reduce gas prices, restore decent food prices, and all the things that we are now struggling with to live and survive.
I thank you and appreciate everyone’s participation. I first wrote about praying for Obama very early in his campaigning, and have continue to ask, because I KNOW PRAYER WORKS.
