Did we really expect the McCain to discuss the issues that he has turned his back on for years? McCain continues to hide behind his republican female VP candidate and ducks the challenging issues facing Americans. The use of gender, race, sexism, negative ads show extreme desperation by the McCain camp and a foolish attempt to divert attention from the failed BUSH policies and leadership that McCain supported 90% in the Senate.
McCain supports BUSH. Bush supports McCain. Bush and McCain united in favor of more failed policies and failed leadership.
They’re a lot alike on the inside…………
Breaking this cycle requires a dissection of the Bush McCain campaign brain. Bush and McCain duck behind these women and use gender or sexism to divert attention from their own failed policies and failed leadership.

Sarah Palin stated as the Governor of Alaska before the graduating class of commission students to “pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God," she exhorted the congregants.
"That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."
"I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that," she said.
Praying for gas lines? Praying against women’s right to choose? Praying against gay unions? Praying for God’s will for Americans to continue an Iraq war that should never have been waged and a war that will never bring back the innocent.
There is an icky feeling that you get when you listen to people who are willing to force their beliefs onto others and talk this way. Statements made by Katherine and Sarah help you see into their warped minds and give you glimpses of how they agree on the manipulation and abuse of power and call it is God’s will.

The Importance of “Getting Up When Knocked Down”

While watching the Democratic National Convention, Vice Presidential hopeful Joe Biden reiterated his oft repeated theme about, “getting up when knocked down.” No matter how many times I hear that statement from him or from others, it never loses its salience. Biden is absolutely right. We all have been “knocked down” at some point in our lives. However, it is what we have done afterwards that counts.
Do we nurse our wounds until they become phantom injuries that have long ceased to exist or do we get right back up and start moving again. In Biden’s speech he recounted that as a youth when he’d get pushed down by bigger and stronger boys in his neighborhood his mother would send him back outside with the instructions to sock them in the nose so he would be able to walk up and down the street without fear. This statement is not about being a ‘tough guy’ nor am I advocating violence. It is about recognizing the enduring strength of the human spirit and will. It is about not letting anyone or any circumstance influence us to forget our dreams.
Further, this way of living doesn’t have to just apply to extreme situations. It can also be used in the daily knocks that one receives as they strive to obtain their goals. The people who say we can’t achieve something or the person who is rude or gives you a hard time for no reason may knock you down for an hour or even a day, even if it was unintentional. Instead of allowing these moments to alter our moods and affect our productivity and positivity we have to learn to shake it off and keep moving forward.
The ’shame’ one experiences in life should not be because ’bad’ things happen to us or that trials disrupt our lives, but for allowing such incidents to destroy our capacity to keep striving for success and achieving our goals and dreams.

I recorded The View today and truly enjoyed seeing Mrs. Michelle Obama as co-host.
Mrs. Obama is so beautiful and I believe she represents herself and her family with such dignity and grace.
You could tell from the ease of her conversation that Mrs. Obama is a warmhearted mother and wife that of course has alot of the same concerns and values that most women, mothers, and daughters have.
Whoopi brought up several interesting points and I would encourage everyone to search and watch the interview on YOUTUBE.

Smear campaigns and dirty politics instead of real solutions?
It's as if McCain really thinks this is the 1950s and news travels by car.
THE TRUTH IS OBVIOUS:
Republicans are scrambling because there is real anger, upheaval, and plain frustration with McCain as the presumptive Republican Nominee. Many of the senior Republicans have expressed this by not endorsing McCain.
Yet McCain and his bandits think its cute to encourage slander by spreading cold lies as if they're on a schoolyard playground. All the while the instigating media and pundits sit on the sidelines salivating as their thirst for drama and ratings intensify.
It's unfathomable how wrong many of these political game players are about our CHANGING political atmosphere.
Unknowing to them the American public has grown tenfold since the Democratic Primary. Following British and Canadian citizens, more Americans have awaken to the "double check the facts" mentality. People are realizing that the opinions of mainstream media, pundits, and even rumors must be verified and they are checking the facts without using the search words like CNN or FOX. Many are using foreign press and blog websites which are proving to be less biased. The Fight the Smear website launched by the Obama Campaign will no doubt be an additional resource.
THE TRUTH IS the American people know Barack Obama's voice and these supporters can be heard reciting parts of his speech during town hall meetings and rallies. Obama's truth not only attracts attention but has become a movement and empowers all Americans to fight for something. Knowledge about Senator Obama as the Democratic Nominee did not arrive to the American people on horseback. You don't draw crowds of 75,000 in Portland, Oregon or 17,000+ in St. Paul, Minnesota without a real message and real solutions.
People who speak the truth do so not because they are perfect, but are guided by a inner moral conviction. Senator Obama has spoken the truth on many of the issues that the American people care about: ECONOMY, WAR in IRAQ, HEALTHCARE, FOREIGN POLICY, ENERGY PLAN & GAS PRICES while strategists on both sides continue playing political games. The truth about who is really fighting for America is not only apparent, but is becoming more transparent each day.
We are the ones we have been waiting for.... Barack Obama has brought this truth to the forefront.
Many scratch their heads and wonder why John would want to debate with Senator Obama when John can’t even keep the simplest of lines straight. Others believe Obama is more careful with his words and doesn’t think well on his feet. Both are only side arguments.
McCain is whining and begging for some attention from the media because he's hoping that his pleading of a Town Hall Meeting will be seen as a strength when in reality he is trying to draw from Obama the large crowds that Obama attracts. McCain knows that he lacks the ability to talk about the real issues as well as an inability to excite his own Republican base.
A town hall meeting would force his base to rally around him even though many have refused to endorse him publicly. It would also alleviate some of the pressure McCain is receiving to select a Vice President that Republicans would embrace.
So don’t be fooled by the political games from John; he’s really not up to the task of a debate with Barack- not now or ever.
