A Canadian living on the west coast with many American friends and American relatives, I come from a very progressive and passionately interested family regarding current events, political science, history... The last eight years have impacted global citizens as well as citizens within your borders. What the Bush administration has done to your country and the world is unconscionable. I am a product of the 60's. I was 11 when JFK was assassinated and will never forget what it felt like when MLK and RFK were also slain. It has been a dark time, waiting for another voice of reason, passion, honesty, integrity, wisdom and as Oprah so eloquently said on Sunday at UCLA, brilliant. As a citizen of this world and a fellow North American, I share with you your dreams, hopes, aspirations and fervent wishes that Barack Obama and his partner, Michelle, will move into the White House in January, to restore sanity, hope, change and peace, once again. Yesterday, on the Canadian news, it said that half of Canadians are very closely watching the election cycle this year; and 15% of them are like me, they would trade their vote in Canada for a chance to vote in this election come November. I am a very very proud Canadian, but what has happened - the insanity - since 911 - has made this election of utmost importance to all citizens of the world. God Bless, and Barack, I embrace you and your family. I do not know of anyone who has inspired me as you have. Karen
