I had just finished having breakfast with a friend. We discussed the normal things that concerned mothers have on their minds such as education, managing the household and providing an environment for our children to excel in their own right as well as the many challenges we face at being successful at one of the hardest jobs you love. As we walked to our cars the 2008 election came up. I asked the question, who do you like for president and the answer was "my 3rd grade son has persuaded me to vote for Barak Obama".
My 6th grader says that much of the discussion at lunch is centered on the election and the candidates. Barak is leading at her table.
