Is it Day One that United States citizens should be worried that a candidate is ready for the Office of the Presidency? Or should citizens be worried that the candidate will be ready on Day 789? Why do I ask that?

Because on Day 789 of George W. Bush's administration, President George Bush authorized and ordered United States troops to invade Iraq.

Shouldn't the People of the United States vote for the most qualified candidate who will be ready EVERY day of their term of office and not just Day One? What the Office of the President requires is sound Judgment and Character. Qualities that a few Presidents over the past 30 years have lacked. The next President of the United States will inherit a disastorous Foreign Policy and Stateside Policy of epic proportions. A task that will require Herculean resolve and strength to accomplish. And considering Obama's past community service in Illinois, I'm sure he is up to the task.

FISA and retro-active Immunity

I am a citizen concerned about FISA and the impact it has upon the United States and how it violates "search and seizure" laws. I have supported Sen. Obama to date due to his stance on the country's involvment in Iraq and Isurance procedures. Now, I would like to hear his position on FISA and granting "retroactive Immunity" to the telecoms.

I implore the Sen. to not support such legislation. In fact I request the Senator to stand with Sen. Chris Dodd and filibuster any legislation that grants "retoactive Immunity". Demonstrate your leadership qualities and take a stand. The telecoms should not be granted immunity from prosecution for aiding the Bush administration violation of "search and Seizure" laws.
