Obama is running as a uniter. After the campaign is over, I think he neeeds to rehabilitate men like Rod Parsley, John Hagee, Rev. Phlegger and Rev. Wright. He will be president of all America and needs to show that we are done fighting old battles. I just think this process has destroyed some good men who have done a lot of service to society except for one or two dumb remarks here and there. Obama needs to bring all these men together after the campaign and show America that he wants to heal conflict and govern wisely.
Perhaps even Bill Ayers can eb vindicated. The bit that most people are missing here too is that Obama must have been either in Hawaii or Indonesia when Bill Ayers was doing his crazy stuff. Most people will forget about him after the elections because it is a trumped up charge that McCain is bringing up. However, he may just need to do a 60 minutes interview to restore his standing as a respected Chicagoan.
The campaign needs to put this on a national ad:

John McCain is Right: Barack is WISE! Can you smell what he is cooking?
Eight times during the debate Obama said "John McCain is absolutely right". I heard Rudi criticizing him for that and the McCain campaign came up with an ad about it. But after looking through Barack's system of thinking, you can't help but admire this tactic. Barack knows that he cannot alienate the "white vote" and that he needs to reach out to a moderate audience that likes McCain but has significant questions about his capability to lead at 72 and his temperament. Barack also knows that he has to show he can work with Republicans and that no one person has a monopoly on the ideas. In his wisdom, Barack is on the path to the Presidency. Biden said it right, we need a WISE LEADER. John McCain came across as a dismissive old guy who does not appreciate new ideas. Barack recognizes that old ideas won't work. Can you smell what Barack is cooking?
John McCain has a black daughter that is rarely shown in public. She was not there when Sarah was named VP and also is not in the People issue for this week. Why is the family hiding her?

John McCain has reached his ceiling. I just saw a John McCain commercial in which he is shaking hands with a woman wearing a Barack Obama T-shirt. This made me think: this guy and his party are super incompetent! How could they not catch it? Google "McCain woman wearing a Barack Obama t-shirt" and you'll be surprised. Here's my thinking of what this reveals:
The Republican hierarchy is on the brink of nominating John McCain to his highest level of incompetence! This is the Peter Principle at work. The Republican brand is so stinking filthy that they had to find the most rebelious manager within their ranks in the hope that he can stir them up. Too bad, sooner or later, the American public will clearly see that the guy is incompetent.
The Peter Principle is a special case of a ubiquitous observation: anything that works will be used in progressively more challenging applications until it fails. McCain seems to be working for the Republicans right now but as the challenges of campaigning wear on him you will see him begin to falter and crack until he fails completely.
In an organizational structure, the Peter Principle's practical application allows assessment of the potential of an employee for a promotion based on performance in the current job, i.e. members of a hierarchical organization eventually are promoted to their highest level of competence, after which further promotion raises them to incompetence. That level is the employee's "level of incompetence" where the employee has no chance of further promotion, thus reaching his or her career's ceiling in an organization.
