For some reason, I was eating an orange this morning and thinking about the Garden of Eden and wondering if I was eating some of the same fruit like Eve ate. THEN, I venture on Obama's website after weeks and found blogs about the forbidden fruit. Can you believe it, JFK Fan? Lately, most of my attention has been focused on my state governor, Blagovich (sp.). You would think I could spell his name after it ... and his face ... has been all over my television for two weeks now ... giving Bush a little rest. I'm thinking, "Why should any governor be impeached while the leader of our NATION remains after all the turmoil he has caused"? I am sure FOX is having a blast, but I have bypassed that network since Rev. Jeremiah Wright was crucified.
I am still proud of my country, but now I'm having problems praising my state. I strutted down in my home state of Alabama in June and I'm headed back as soon as I get all my Christmas cards sent ... TO THEM. I plan to write them all a note about how much I love Alabama AND THEM ... especially during the ice storms here that make all outside Christmas trees droop. You should see my poor weeping willow!!!
I'm not worried too much about Rick Warren. Although, I thought he PURPOSELY treated McCain with much more respect than Obama during the civil forum at his PURPOSE Driven Saddleback Church. I vowed not to buy his books. I got three Obama books for Christmas. Now that we Obama fans have worked so hard for "CHANGE," we have to let the President-Elect do his thing. Thanks for reading. According to my conscience, God was angry with me a few times during this election. I made some friends - and enemies, made calls, sent emails but avoided some of my family members in my home state of Alabama. I don't know one person in Alabama who is not a smart Republican ... they are noted for their hospitality, and they constantly remind me of my roots.
Mainstream media got a message from me when Obama's website was hacked during the primaries. Everytime I tried to login, Hillary's website would appear. After that, I had to change my password often.
I received an email Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008 at 3:55 A.M. CST. Part of it read: "Vera -- I have some important news that I want to make official. I've chosen Joe Biden to be my running mate." Okay, I know it came from Obama's staff.
Later that day, I found myself standing among thousands of waving, screaming and sweating Obama fans in Springfield. My husband and I found a small tree and sat about 50 yards from Obama ... lots more people found the same tree and almost sat in our laps. Water bottles and umbrellas were not allowed, but when we found our way outside the iron gates afterwards, Obama supporters passed out large cups of ice water. Firemen opened fire hydrants for kids and brave adults to cool off. Needless to say, I didn't get to meet Obama or Biden ... probably never will.
My most memorable time at the rally was when I got lost and severely embarrassed. I couldn't care less about Obama for almost half an hour. And, I managed to get a little scolding from a policeman after he called my husband, who had the cell phone. I was quite conspicuous standing with a fireman at the corner of a huge Chase Bank, catching a few drops of water splattering from the hydrant. I got another scolding when I was found, but thank God for wedding vows.
After the primaries, I knocked on doors in Indiana ... spent an hour with a former judge and his wife, who had to gather information about then Sen. Obama for me to distribute door to door. They also provided energy food and drinks.
It was useless for me to tell anyone how African-Americans were once treated in Alabama and Georgia. Before moving to Illinois, I worked at McCrory Five and Ten Cent Store in Columbus, Ga. and saw their separate drinking fountains and restrooms. I rode the city bus with separate seats for them in the "rear." Some of them stood when there were no empty seats in the back.
Some of my ancestors had slaves, but when I was a child, we had African-American "sharecroppers." When we were ill, they would be by our bedside. I admit those thoughts raced through my mind when anyone attacked Obama's character.
President-Elect Obama doesn't know me from Adam. His campaign sent me a postcard with his picture and called me "Nina Coozin." I can only hope that he will live up to some of my expectations, although, he never claimed to be my saviour.

What is a measly $150,000 worth of clothes compared to millions of $$$s spent on a campaign that was dead set on destroying the character of another human being? Throw the dar n clothes in the garbage and for God's sake seek forgiveness for your actions and try telling the TRUTH. We don't know who paid for the clothes; if Palin went to the store; if the clothes were brought to her dressing room or if she even dressed herself. But, Americans do know ONE thing ... there is a lot of money and expensive clothes that rich people seem to have problems deciding what to do with, while many poor people continue to be called moochers.

Patty: I pray everyday for Obama and all of us to be protected from the lies. I also pray for the media to protect our rights to freedom of speech.
Winnie: Pray also for the American People. Let their eyes and ears be opened to the lies of the corrupt. Let them see the right in Obama.

NOTE to TIM from Katy, TX: Sen. Obama does not believe in abortions on demand. Many Christians are pro-choice when it applies to rape and incest or when a mother's life in danger. If a mother makes the wrong choice in regards to abortion, SHE is the one who suffers the consequences. Who suffers the consequences if a mother dies as a result of a difficult pregnancy?

TheDelta Voter: I don't think anyone believes in abortion. I think people feel that they do not have the right to tell someone else what they choose to do with their body. A decision as personal as choosing an abortion option, should only be between that person and their maker. I sincerely hope that we can get to a point of preventing unwanted pregnancies and the pro-life and pro-choice issue becomes moot.
