JACQUES CHIRAC: We will veto any resolution regarding non-compliance of the chicken whether it has or has not crossed the road!
AL GORE: I invented the chicken. I invented the road. Therefore, the chicken crossing the road represented the application of these two different functions of government in a new, reinvented way designed to bring greater services to the American People.
RALPH NADER: The chicken’s habitat on the original side of the road had been polluted by unchecked industrialist greed. The chicken did not reach the unspoiled habitat on the other side of the road because it was crushed by the wheels of a $11.89 per gallon gas-guzzling SUV.
RUSH LIMBAUGH: I don’t know why the chicken crossed the road, but I’ll bet it was getting a government grant to cross the road, and I’ll bet someone out there is already forming a support group to help chickens with crossing-the-road syndrome. Can you believe this? How much more of this can real Americans take? Chickens crossing the road paid for by their tax dollars, and when I say tax dollars, I’m talking about your money, money the government took from you to build roads for chickens to cross.
MARTHA STEWART: No one called to warn me which way that chicken was going. I had a standing order at the farmer’s market to sell my eggs when the price dropped to a certain level. No little bird gave me any insider information.
VICTORIA DePAUL: It’s all an illusion. There is no road nor is there a chicken.
MOHAMMED ALDOURI: The chicken did not cross the road. This is a complete fabrication. We don’t even have a chicken.

I am grateful for a leader that understands the difference between power and force. Power is the energy that creates peace. Force is the energy that fuels war.
I am grateful for a leader that is able to focus on the future while understanding the present reality.
I am grateful that Obama has shown me that leadership and integrity are not exclusive, but in fact, true leadership is dependent upon integrity.
I am grateful for a leader that inspires me to be more than even I knew that I was capable of.
I am grateful for a leader that not only wants my participation but expects it.
I am grateful for a leader who can focus on priorities, regardless of distractions and hurdles. I am grateful to be an active part of this movement for positive change.
I am grateful for a leader that understands that there is nothing more important than the human spirit.
I am grateful for a leader who understands that We Are One. If one of is in lack, we all are in lack.
I am grateful for a leader that teaches us that success is not the result of individual effort but the end result of the collective consciousness.
I am grateful for the opportunity to express Who I Really Am. My inner spirit of hope and peace rests amongst like-minded persons. I am grateful for a leader that can teach me to hold fast to my ideals and principles, even in the face of adversity.

I am grateful for a leader who knows the number of times you fall down is unimportant. The only thing that really counts is how many times you get up.
I am grateful for a leader who teaches us that our visions are powered by our internal energies. Those energies are either positive or negative. Our results in life, negative or positive, evolve from our dominant energy.
I am grateful for a leader that knows that the primary cause of interpersonal conflicts is the amount of negative energy that exists within the organization (human energy system). Giving people the opportunity to express their natural creativity and ingenuity significantly reduces this negative energy.
I am grateful for a Leader who understands that sometimes you will take a hit. Tough decisions have to be made that will bring out both the positive and negative energies of people. Superior leaders understand how to deal with both.
I am grateful for a Leader that understands the current 'environment' and can act accordingly (with deliberation and immediacy) in response to the new situation. Often that change in direction will result in an apparent contradiction of a prior course of action.
I am grateful for a leader who understands the difference between inspiration and motivation. Inspiration awakens people. Motivation moves people to respond. This is what moves people from complacency to positive action.
I am grateful for a leader who can react with restraint and logic as opposed to emotional reactivity.
I am grateful for a leader who understands that ‘failure’ is a definition of ‘opportunity’.
I am grateful for a leader that understands that in every situation in life you are either at Cause or Effect. Your level of personal response-ability is what determines whether you are a victim of your circumstances.

In the last few days I have stood on many corners holding my Obama banner. I have been struck by the many McCain supporters that have shouted profanities, raised their middle finger or swung their fists. Where is the respect for the democratic process? While I disagree (and quite frankly don't understand) the McCain philosophy, I would never shout profanity at a supporter. We are America. Come Wednesday we will see if the collective energies of hope and vision will outweigh the energies of fear and hate. My money is on the former.

Yesterday 100,000 people showed up for a rally for Barack Obama in St. Louis, MO. On the same day 7,000 people showed up to listen to John McCain in North Carolina. This has been a constant theme that has played itself throughout this campaign period. This has been the basis of the McCain’s Camp’s assertion of Obama as ‘celebrity’– somehow inferring that this is undesirable. While I understand how the word is used I decided to check the actual meaning in the dictionary.
Definition: the state of being famous
Using this definition, the natural conclusion could be that both men are celebrities– with the international attention focused on this election, are they both not known to all around the globe? And yet the McCain camp may be on to something. If Obama fits the bill of ‘celebrity’, in stark contrast to McCain (by his own insistence), then by inference, perhaps McCain may be its opposite– ‘infamous’.
Definition of Infamous: Having an extremely bad reputation
Like energy attracts like energy. Energytic leaders understand that the positive energy of hope, passion, enthusiasm, confidence, affinity and collaboration brings out the innate positive energy that defines who we are. The negative energy of anger, fear, and hatred creates conflict, blame and less than desirable results.
Perhaps Energytic leaders should strive for celebrity status.
