My faith in humanity has been restored.
I want to personally thank Sarah Palin. That's right... and John McCain for picking her as his VP nominee. By doing so, they assured me that Barack will be our number forty-four. I normally don't count chickens before they hatch, but unless Palin's intelligence magically triples in her sleep before Thursday's debate–and I (unsurprisingly) doubt that it will–then Obama is our guy: sign, sealed, and delivered.
Palin has helped Barack more than she has McCain, and I don't see that changing before the election. On November forth I hope to release a pent-up, eight-year sigh of relief as a defeated Palin packs her bags and heads back to Alaska (where I hope she stays), and our next president Barack Obama confirms that this is the greatest nation on earth.
Thank you, Sarah Palin.
Grace. Tact. Class. Elegance. Call it whatever. Obama manifests it– eye-opening with a sincerity that amazes and delights. Opposite that, Hillary, as desperation grows, shows less and less. Tactless. Classless. Lacking the Grace that isn't in–and should be part of–this "test of presidency" "presidential bar" of hers. Her tastelessness leaves me asounded repeatedly, and sadly, as my current senator, I voted for her. Never again.
Hillary has lost my vote forever: Nation, or local New York, elections. Not lest of which is due to her class, or lack there within.
So it was her campaign that contacted the Canadian government about NAFTA... Despicable. She has said Barack is GW, Karl Rove, and now, today, Ken Starr!! She is grabbing at anything, everything to throw at our guy. Making it up mainly: lying like a Bush.
Obama's class, of which she has very little, will be his saving grace. As far as I have heard or read, he has yet to lie to me. While the spin, distortion and fabrications coming out of the Hillary campaign is being to resemble that of a republican. Running ads stoking fear? Isn't that part of what we are trying to vote OUT of office right now.
She has said John McCain is more qualified than Barack. WOW! What a woman; what a ridiculous assertion that has put a very sour taste in my mouth. I did have respect for her, but she has destroyed any of that which is left.
For every lie she tells, we need to work twice as hard. If it comes to it, she will try and steal this: something we must not allow to happen. Michigan and Florida? Don't get me started. She knew what the rules were and signed on the line.
Maybe she can be McCain's VP since she has seemingly endorsed him.
It started over a year ago: whispers and passing suggestions about Barack running. Columbia's campus was enraptured with the idea that a former lion, one of us, was going to make a run for the oval office.
But there was no way he could win.... right? He was our fantasy candidate. Our dream leader.
As you now know the whispers got louder–turning into talk which then became screams of excitement as Obama proved all the pundits wrong. Setting record after record. Bill said Barack's campaign was a fairy tale while his wife's was turning into a tragedy.
You know all of this, but it is just the few points I wanted to recap in my first post.
Barack is going to be our next president.
