I apologize for MIA....Summer has been quite busy and I haven't had a lot of free time for our group. With the upcoming convention my thoughts are turning back to the election. I'm really anxious to see who Obama picks as his running mate. I look forward to being more active in the group toward the end of the month.

My trip to Canton was a total waste of my time! It was close to 1:30pm and I was told that I had to bring the canvassing info back tonight. Excuse me... you don't think someone could have mentioned that in the 3 times I spoke to the office staff? That's 2 hours of driving time, each day. My intention was to give them a couple hours today and tomorrow canvassing Alliance. I was told that the information had to be put in tonight. I asked if it was possible to report the results via email/ internet. I was sarcastically told "the internet doesn't knock on doors". They were unhappy that I wasn't willing to stay in Canton and canvas. I wasn't dressed and prepared to stay in Canton for the afternoon. I told them that I was quite sorry that I have family, work, & other comittments. They let me walk out without even asking me to take a yard sign. I am reminding myself that they are simply local campaign staff for the man that I have come to greatly admire and respect. If you read this...thanks for hearing me out!
There is a possibility that I may get some yard signs today at the Canton office. If anyone is interested please let me know. If I get them and you live in Alliance, I will personally bring them to you and put them in your yard for you. Or you can pick them up at my house. I just live a few blocks off of W. State. I'll confirm when I return home this afternoon! Also, I'm still going to go out and canvas a bit over the weekend. If anyone is interested please let me know. They were begging for people at the Canton office. I don't think too many people are excited about going out in this lovely weather. But 20 houses or 20 calls, could make the difference for Obama in Ohio! It takes a village!
I'm headed to Canton early Saturday afternoon to get some info and material regarding canvassing in Alliance. Is anyone interested in meeting in Alliance and heading out together? Or if it's allowable I could pass along info & material so that you can go on your own as your time allows. I don't have a lot of free hours this weekend, but figure if I can get out a couple of hours that I'm at least making an effort!
Don't forget to wear you Obama T's this weekend. Along with your personal message of why you support him. I still have to make mine using an iron on transfer! Ordered stuff from the store 3 weeks ago and still haven't received anything. Maybe with this weather, I should make a sweatshirt to wear instead:)

I just discovered there is an organizational meeting tomorrow at 11am at Hoover Price that is open to the community. It's purpose is to promote Obama at Mount. You can check it out under events.
