Those who want to attend the ceremony should contact their local member of Congress to request tickets. The viewing area will stretch from the Capitol along the Mall. Some more distant parts of the viewing area will not require tickets and probably will be served by huge video screens.Congressional staffers said Friday that there were reports of advertisements on the Internet selling inaugural tickets for hundreds of dollars each. They said any such ticket would be false and of no valueIF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A TICKET TO THE EVENT KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. Hi All;
I am receiving a tremendous response to the bus ride to Washington D.C. There will be so many Obama volunteers and supporter similar to my family and yours. It is my goal to be proactive pretaining to the logistics of this trip to Washington D.C. and I forsee a time consuming bottle neck during our commute to Washington both on Jan 19 and 20th 2009. Please provide me with your thoughts as to how you should suggest that we address this bottle neck. As you can see, I am asking for a vote on extending our trip out to Jan 18-20, back home on the 21st. This means we will arrive at our hotel(s) on the evening of Jan 18 2008. I would anticipate a departure time of 8 am on Jan 18, 2008.
