NAFTAgate: The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation exonerates Barack Obama and cites Clinton
The relevation that Barack Obama did not lie to reporters regarding NAFTA
should go a long ways to restoring his well deserved reputation as man of honesty
and integrity. Doubts about the accusations against Obama were raised early on, most notably from
Canadian Parliament member Jack Layton. Unfortunately this was sparsely reported in the United States.

Canadian Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff says he was contacted by Clinton’s Campaign
Mr. Brodie, apparently seeking to play down the potential impact on Canada, told the reporters the threat was not serious, and that someone from Ms. Clinton's campaign had even contacted Canadian diplomats to tell them not to worry because the NAFTA threats were mostly political posturing.
The Canadian Press cited an unnamed source last night as saying that several people overheard the remark.
The news agency quoted that source as saying that Mr. Brodie said that someone from Ms. Clinton's campaign called and was "telling the embassy to take it with a grain of salt."

From NBC’s Domenico MontanaroPer the Toronto Globe and Mail, in a story that was the lead on the paper’s front page today, that call to the Canadian embassy was actually from the Clinton campaign, not Obama’s:

The American media must be encouraged to do its job and inform the American
public.
The Government of Canada needs to hold a televised press conference and
apologize to the Barack Obama and all Americans especially the citizens of Ohio.
The DNC and the Ohio superdelegates should be informed and asked to respond to this publicly. No question the outcome was effected. In leiu of a revote, I believe the Ohio superdelegates should express outrage endorse Barack Obama. That would send a powerful message against false accusations and for the truth. This is part of the change we are seeking.
Mr. Unite Us
There is old saying the truth will set you free.
I believe the truth will elect Barack Obama.
