I RECEIVED THIS MESSAGE FROM AN OBAMA GROUP:
Please read and circulate this email to as many people you know or listservs that you belong to. Sen. Obama has ran a campaign based on civility and mutual respect. A counterdemonstration by Obama supporters will not ease tensions among certain members of the Democratic Party only exacerbate them. At this point, the Obama campaign is working ceaselessly to develop a solution that will seat the Florida and Michigan delegates and appease both groups. A confrontation between his supporters and Clinton supporters will not unify the party, rather set us up to lose the general election in November. What we can do as his supporters is to continue reaching out to residents in the remaining primary states/provinces via phonebanking and doorknocking. Again, pleae circulate this notice to any and everyone you know. Thanks. Obama urges supporters not to demonstrate at crucial DNC meeting
In an internal campaign e-mail obtained by The Hill, the Obama campaign states, "We look forward to the meeting proceeding smoothly -- and we're asking our supporters not to show up to demonstrate, passionately as they feel about this campaign."
This weekend's meeting of the DNC's 30-member Rules and Bylaws Committee (RBC) at a Marriot Wardman Park hotel in Washington, D.C. is expected to be a media circus, and will likely attract many supporters of Obama and Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-N.Y.).
But the Obama campaign wants to avoid heated intraparty confrontations that would attract national headlines and be replayed on the cable news networks. Saturday's potential public relations nightmare comes as the Obama campaign is taking steps to unify the party as the Democratic primary process appears to be winding down.
The DNC stated on its Web site that demand for the meeting was extremely high: "Just a quick note if you tried to register for the RBC meeting this morning. First, yes, it did go online. For about a minute. There was a lot if demand and we're sorry if you didn't get a spot...they were gone pretty quickly."
The difference between nabbing a spot and falling short "was a matter of seconds," the DNC stated.
The Obama campaign "talking points" e-mail cautions supporters not to speculate about what will happen on Saturday though it emphasizes that the Illinois senator will campaign vigorously in both states for the general election.
In a Q&A section of the e-mail, a question reads, "Sen. Obama has such a large lead that the outcome of this nomination is all-but academic. Why not just seat the delegates as they voted so that Sen. Clinton has one less reason to continue her campaign?"
The answer states, "That's not Sen. Obama's decision to make. The rules for this nomination contest were designed and are enforced by the Democratic National Committee. That's why our campaign is working to forge a fair agreement that will ensure Democrats from Florida and Michigan will be able to participate in our convention."
The Clinton campaign has repeatedly stressed that all the votes should be counted, including those cast in Florida and Michigan. Both states were punished by the DNC because they violated the committee's rules by moving up their primaries.
The DNC bylaws meeting is seen as Clinton's last-ditch effort to make up significant ground on Obama in the delegate count. Clinton won both states easily, but Obama pulled his name off the ballot in Michigan and, like the former first lady, did not actively campaign in Florida.
The talking points memo provides some answers to potential questions about Saturday. One reads, "I don't think that any of us are in a position to speculate about possible outcomes at the meeting -- but what I do know is that the Obama campaign is as eager as anyone to see this situation resolved fairly, which reflects the desire of these delegations to be seated and the fact that we and all the candidates competed under rules in which there were no delegates to be awarded and no campaigning took place."
It adds, "Obviously, the May 31 meeting will be an important part of reaching an agreement that's in the best interests of Florida and Michigan voters and in the best interests of the Democratic Party."

AN ARTICLE BY: Robert J. Elisberg
The other day, a panicked friend sent me an article from the Washington Post about a problem in the Barack Obama campaign how it's facing far more racism behind the scenes than at their big public rallies of support.
I understood his panic. I was shocked, as well. Shocked, I say! This was as stunning, horrifying news as I could possibly imagine.
Are you freaking telling me that Barack Obama is ... black??!
Oh -- my -- God.
How deceptive can a man be? And here, all along, I've been watching his candidacy about openness, honesty, being different. And it turns out that he has been hiding the biggest secret of all from us.
I mean, honestly. I heard him with his own mouth talk about his white grandmother. And in his own book he wrote he was born in Hawaii. And I've been told repeatedly that his mother was white. And that she was born in Kansas -- Kansas! I know he graduated from Harvard.
And now you're telling me that Barack Obama is black?
Did he think he could get away with this? Didn't he figure that after he won state after state after state after state, and neared the Democratic nomination for President that someone would look into his life and discover that he wasn't white?
So, Barack Obama is black. And it turns out there is a racist reaction to his campaign. Gee, go figure.
And yet somehow, he's been able to win 16 primaries, and 13 caucuses (- out of 14). He's won elections in 29 states, he's leading in the popular vote, he's leading in the delegate count, leading in superdelegates ...
... and we're supposed to wonder if he is going to be able to win the national election because he's black, and some people may not vote for him because they're racist.
Barack Obama won primaries in Maine, Delaware, Vermont, Wisconsin, Alaska and Utah. All of these states together, the total black population is 872. The closest they come in Vermont to having black people is Ben & Jerry. The Official State Color of Utah is white, and of Alaska is snowy white. He won South Carolina, Alabama and Mississippi. South Carolina was the first state to secede from the Union. George Wallace was the governor of Alabama.
Obama not only won these states, he won some by Grand Canyon margins. Yes, the Hillary Clinton campaign proudly trumpeted her swamping victory in West Virginia as "proof" of her electability, but to be fair, consider the times she was swamped:
In Alaska, Obama beat Clinton 75%-25% - a 50 point margin.In Idaho, Obama beat Clinton 79%-17% - a 62 point margin.In Nebraska, Obama beat Clinton 68%- 32% - a 36 point margin.In Colorado, Obama beat Clinton 67%-32% - a 35 point margin.
Of course there is racism which will be a problem for Obama. (By the way, it's a bigger problem for America.) And of course, there's sexism where many people won't vote for a woman.
But the larger point is that, in the end, it doesn't matter how much people hate you and are going to vote against you. It only matters who is going to vote for you. It only matters if you can get 50% + 1 vote. The two most viscerally hated candidates in our lifetime were Richard Nixon and George W. Bush -- and both won election twice. Nixon won his two elections in landslides. This racist reaction to Obama is horrible, despicable. And it's something to be wary of. But we knew it was there. And we know that 14 million Democrats voted on Super Tuesday and only 10 million Republicans. In the end, would you rather be the Democratic presidential candidate this year, or the Republican?
And speaking to that ...
On May 13, Democrat Travis Childers won the Mississippi run-off election for Congress in the highly-Republican 1st District, 53-47% -- that had voted a 62% swamping for George Bush in 2004. Further, this election was deemed so essential to the Republicans that Dick Cheney went there to campaign. More important still for Democrats, this run-off drew one-third more voters than the district's special election three weeks ago. But perhaps most important, the Republicans specifically tried to tie the Democrat to Barack Obama in TV ads - additionally notable because it's a very white district. Yet the Democrat, tied to Barack Obama, won in a highly-Republican, white district in Mississippi, with a huge turnout of Democrats. This is horrifying news for Republicans. It also is a bit of a repudiation to the claims Hillary Clinton (and many pundits) are making about how voters will respond to Obama.
Democrats have now won all three special elections, all in highly-conservative districts. As I've written here previously, I think that in November, "reverse coattails" will help whoever is at the top of the Democratic ticket, because Democrats are showing themselves to be so incredibly motivated to go out and vote, and vote out any Republican in office. And Independents, and some Republicans are joining them.
Can Barack Obama do better than Hillary Clinton? Well ... he already has. And it turns out that he has done this while actually being -- are you ready? -- black.
A TRIBUTE TO DR. KING:
There was a little boy wearing his angelic wings. He was roaming in heaven until he noticed a somberly something. It was a black man sitting on heaven’s bench. He had tears in eyes causing his face to drench. The little boy noticed and asked as he wiped the man’s eye,
"What’s the matter?" And then the man sighed
And replies
"I don’t know if my dream will ever come alive"
Then the boy frowns and ask, "Why?"
The man look at the boy with his manicured moustache, and slowly
Wipes a tear his eyelash
"Don’t you see what went on earth since I died?
I thought my dream will blossom and thrive
Little black girls and boys and little white girls and boys had been learning together
I know this had change the complexity of racial lines forever. I also noticed that equality has progress in many aspects. I have seen a rainbow people had learn to tolerate and respect. I remember before ’68, There were barely any black faces that had won political races. Now it’s an overflow all over the ....United States..... They are on Congress, and Senators They are Mayors, and Governors, There’s a Secretary of State not only one but two". Then he slightly chuckled and added, "Who ever knew?" "More blacks are homeowners with an influx of revenues And because of that, we were able to go to any college to expand what knew. .... The little boy had continue to frown as he scratched his head "These sounds like great things, so why are you crying?" he said. The man glanced at the little boy with his bountiful cheeks. He replied, "Son, my dream wasn’t just black and white. My dream was a rich and colorful sight And it was beyond just civil but a human right". "Look" as he pointed below the clouds. "Look at these people with a weakened disparages frowns. It’s the poor all over the world. And famine and war that deeply affects little boys and girls. This beyond the ....USA..... This is happening all over world everyday. And in ..Africa.., the Motherland of Motherlands, it’s indescribable. Folks don’t know it, but most Africans living conditions are incomparable. And there are more wars and rumors of wars that threaten earth’s rotating globe. One voice has to stand out, but I don’t think anybody knows ……how to establish their voices to be heard I wish some activist would shy away from cameras and truly put people first. As the boy intently listens he ask, "But isn’t black folks are better off than a long ago". The man answered, "Oh yes, but they say more things change, the more that stay the same. We had to overcome through treacherous mountaintops and through the rugged plains. The black man on earth still gets has it hard that one virtually still remains. But although there’s still that long dream road I wish someone would voice this because this needs to be told. We had past that mountaintop, but there are heavy terrains on the way. Our people need to realize this today. We can be detrimental to ourselves. And my people need to pray". Suddenly the man went silent, there was not another word to say. .... Then the black man had got up from heaven’s bench still blue. Then the angelic boy ask, "Mr, who are you?" The black man had finally cracked an infectious smile. The boy again said, "Mr, why don’t stay awhile?" The man answered, "Son, I got go, I have already seen what I need to see. And there’s a long way to go, and seeing it is too much for me. The boy then grabs the man hand and asked, "Can you tell me your name, please?"
The man looked down at the boys eyes, and said, "Son, I’m King, Martin Luther King".
ALTHOUGH THIS BLOG HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PRIMARIES BETWEEN SENATOR OBAMA AND SENATOR CLINTON, THIS TOPIC RELATED TO A TWISTED CLAUSE IN SOME HEALTH INSURANCE PLANS (CHECK YOURS). MAYBE THE CAMPAIGN NEEDS TO TALK ABOUT THIS...
If anyone have seen recent news events of Wal-Mart suing Deborah Shank, a woman who had worked for this company before she got into a serious accident with a semi-truck, that caused her to have permanent brain damage, is upsetting to hear.
For her pain and suffering, Deborah Shank sued the trucking company and successfully won a settlement around $400,000, enough to live by with the constant 24-hour care she needs. You see, Mrs. Shank lives in a nursing home. Her husband, who worked two job to pay the bills, had to divorce his wife, in order for her to receive Medicaid.
Since Mrs. Shank worked for Wal-Mart, I believe her health insurance paid a bulk of her medical bills. According to the fine print of the health plan, if the injured wins a monetary settlement from a third party, the company (Wal-Mart) have the right sue for the money. The company also said that her medical bills cost around $470,000. This is a settlement that a judge awarded to Wal-Mart from Mrs. Shank.
Worse, the same week when Wal-Mart won their settlement, Mrs. Shank son, who was fighting for his country in Iraq, had died in the line duty. Because of her brain damage, she does not have short term memory. Every time she asked for her son, Mrs. Shank had to be reminded that son had died in Iraq.
I understand the legalities in contracts; but c'mon, Wal-Mart had earned a whoping $90 billion dollars in their profits. Do they really need that $470,000?
In a CNN interview, the couple has only $277,000 left from that settlement.
So I'm urging everyone to read this links. For me, I will not shop at Wal-Mart until they leave this woman alone. Mrs. Shank have been through enough!
I am tired of Hillary's "shiz-nits". If by some chance she wins the nomination, I will not vote for her. I don't care if gets on knees and beg forgiveness for the sake of uniting the democratic party, I will not VOTE her. I don't care she pays me a million dollars, I won't....well, I lie first. I will tell Hillary I vote for her and keep the money!
Seriously, I cannot vote for someone who tactics are below-the-belt dirty. I couldn't trust her to run the house... Actually, I think Bill would be running things anyway.
Peace,
Unique
This has been one hella-va two weeks for Senator Obama. Between the media and Senator Clinton, they both are trying to box Barack Obama into a corner; with all kinds of mudslinging and injections of unnecessary topics; such as, race. Forget the issues, (they may be saying), let’s get under Obama’s skin; let’s throw him off his game; let’s undermine his character. Oh and by way, the crowds are getting too big at his stumps, let’s attack that his words that are “eloquently hollow”. After all, he’s lucky to have gone this far, muslim or not….as far as we know.
Please excuse the sarcasm; I had to get that out!
Some in the media can attack like some hungry pit pulls. If they detect fear, they will go after with their keen senses. Unfortunately for them, Barack Obama has been calm under these brutal circumstances. Are they waiting for him to panic like his satirical character from Saturday Night Live? You know that famous 3 am phone call to Senator Clinton with all of that “mooshy, mooshy” crap on her face, frantically calling her cussing?
My version of the 3 am phone call: Hillary answers the phone, and taps her husband’s shoulder saying, “Bill…Bill wake up! The phone is for you!”.
One another note, CNN has been talking about this Youtube video of Barack Obama’s pastor, Reverend Wright. They played clips of it on the Situation Room with Wolf Blizter, and again on Anderson Cooper.
Question: Do anyone agree with their Pastor, Priest, Rabbi etc; all the time? I don’t. In a response from this video, Senator Obama says, and I’m paraphrasing, he does not agree with every view of his Pastor. What is the media looking for? That Senator Obama is going “Dr. Evil”, a secret Black Nationalist, waiting to take over the world?
Damn, idiots!
My advice, Senator Obama you continue to be “you” by addressing the issues that matter to Americans. The next time when race or your name becomes an issue, you say, “If you have problem with it, you handle it on your time. My time is for the people of this nation; we have a whole lot of “changin’” to do!
OBAMA 'O8!!

1984 was a great year for being a woman; it was also a year that young girls, like me, won't forget. Geraldine Ferraro, the former Vice-Presidential candidate with Walter Mondale in 1984, was a year that made me proud. Although they didn't win the White House, Ms. Ferraro pathed the way for women who seeks higher office.
But her recent comment toward Barack Obama has troubled me. In my opinion, it is inflammtory and offensive. I thought this country came too far for this nonsense
You'll be the judge:
Geraldine Ferraro's Quote
"I think what America feels about a woman becoming president takes a very secondary place to Obama's campaign - to a kind of campaign that it would be hard for anyone to run against," she said. "For one thing, you have the press, which has been uniquely hard on her. It's been a very sexist media. Some just don't like her. The others have gotten caught up in the Obama campaign.
"If Obama was a white man, he would not be in this position," she continued. "And if he was a woman (of any color) he would not be in this position. He happens to be very lucky to be who he is. And the country is caught up in the concept." Ferraro does not buy the notion of Obama as the great reconciler.
"I was reading an article that said young Republicans are out there campaigning for Obama because they believe he's going to be able to put an end to partisanship," Ferraro said, clearly annoyed. "Dear God! Anyone that has worked in the Congress knows that for over 200 years this country has had partisanship - that's the way our country is
Is she insane?
He stood with confidence, virile stature, as he spoke to a massive crowd of enthusiastic listeners. “There's not a liberal America and a conservative America - there's the United States of America” he said, following the loud cheers.
The crowd were in awe; a new wonder of this country. Who is this slender man with this funny name come from? It doesn’t matter. He is speaking to us. From the hard working blue collar worker to the professional on Wall Street; from the janitors who upkeep the hospitals to the nurses and doctors who help tend the sick; from curious student to the dedicated teachers; from the young and old; red and blue state; male and female, black and white, he is speaking to ALL of us.
“There is not a black America and a white America and latino America and asian America - there's the United States of America” he continues. The crowd of 17,000 remained mesmerized, as they gripped each word; listened to each adjective, each verb. They’re listening to his honesty, as he explains the important issues that matter. The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan; the troubled economy; universal health insurance; the skyrocketing cost of college tuition; restoring America’s image, and habeas corpus. The crowd may have heard politicians speak of these issues before, but, again, it’s something about Barack Obama.
The candidate for change; what does that mean? When he says, “A time for change”, the crowd applauds optimistically. Yet, in their resounding applauds are the sounds of relief. A “Whitney Houston type of exhale” relief; anxious to “shoop-shoop” after the November election, when Barack Obama wins the White House. The end of eight years of “fear politics” and George Bush will cause this nation to slowly exhale jubilantly. This nation has been hungry for change. We are ready to move this country in a different direction. Unification is the strength that binds; division can crumble and fall apart. I can bet that’s what change is for all of those 17,000 people that stood in long lines waiting to hear his voice, soaking his message like a sponge, and contracting his message of inspiration.
Hope? Why are pundits, commentators, and the media question “hope”? After going through hell in this country: the devastation of 911, and the ravage of Hurricane Katrina, what is wrong of wanting “hope”? Sometimes “hope” can go a long way. Hope can be that lonely seed, and sprout into a wondrous American tale. Dreaming + Hoping + hard work = “The Ultimate American Dream”. How can any opposing candidate make fun of “wanting hope”? If it takes the sky opening up with an angelic choir singing a tune of “hope”, then so be it. At least the Lord heard our prayers.
They can make fun of our “hope” or stomp on the want and need of “change”, but they cannot take the energy of Barack Obama supporters in every heart, every city and the world. For now, as the hundreds of supporters who stand in this vast arena with admiration for this man, they continue to listen as Barack closes his speech with those words: “YES WE CAN”. You know something? We will!
If you have myspace page, I would love to hear from you: www.myspace.com/unique71
Yesterday, I was wrote a blog asking, would you vote for Hillary if Obama doesn't clinch the nomination? Although I got yelled at by a few Obama supporters, I understood their passion. I was worried about my own thoughts of the Democratic Party. After tonight, I realize where my heart is going to lie.
If the Superdelegates decide this election in Hillary's favor, I am going to leave the Democratic Party to be an Independent....And hell no, I will not vote for "Nuisance Nader" or "100-year-war-McCain". All I know, I cannot vote for someone who tactics are like "Karl Rove"; in that case, I should have voted for Bush in 2004.
Unique "Hussein"
An interesting article I found on CNN.com:
http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/03/04/limbaugh-urges-listeners-to-vote-for-clinton/
If Hillary whined about Barack not denouncing and "rejecting" Louis Farrahkan's endorsement (which he didn't endorsement Obama), then she should denounce and reject Rush Limbaugh's help...
Again, that would be a cold a day hell if she did...
This is another great video by Will.i.am and friends. If you already seen it, it's worth watching again. If you haven't, then you're in store of real treat.
Check out the video @ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghSJsEVf0pU
Over the weekend, I was browsing the internet and I ran across SNL (Saturday Night Live) website. My initial entry on this site was to make a “legitimate bitch” about the “TV Funhouse skit” of the Obama cartoon. If you haven’t seen the skit, it might be on www.youtube.com . Let’s just say this skit mocks and degrades two prominent civil rights leaders.
Once I was on the site, I was ready to bitch away with a long comment starting with “How dare you” or I’m disappointed”. Fortunately, a few souls had already beaten me to this; some were subtle, and others were just out there. And the response….well, of course, on any website, it comes with the positive and the negative. Yet, I didn’t expect such division. Having said this, my concerns are growing deep of how Democratic Party is failing to unite….actually I’m afraid it’s dividing before our eyes.
The historic implications are so great that it is causing this overwhelming passion within the two campaigns. For Hillary, this is an opportunity to see the first woman elected in the highest office in our country. For Barack, it’s an opportunity to see the first African-American elected to the most powerful job in the world. Both candidates are the strongest contenders in the Democratic Party in years. This is historic!
So why are we fighting? I understand its politics, but what I read on the SNL or any other political message board, it’s becoming ugly. Accusations of racism and sexism are getting out of hand. “Anti-Hillary this or Anti-Obama that” rhetoric is potentially dividing the party. Also, there have been some accounts of relatives becoming violent with one another over Clinton and Obama. The whole thing is getting insane.
There are five months until the Democratic convention and eight months until the general election. I want to know if this negative crap going to kill the Democratic Party. Our party is giving an open door to McCain. We are giving him ammunition and new ideas to attack whoever is the democratic nominee. In other words he’s chilled. All he has to do is make some speeches, and make sure his surrogates don’t pull a “Cunningham”…You know that “Barack Hussein Obama” thing?
After Tuesday, if Hillary Clinton looses Texas or Ohio, she should take a couple of days off and think about her future. Though it hasn’t been easy to maintain my respect for her in recent weeks, I still cannot ignore how incredibly strong and intelligent she is. Like Senator Obama, Senator Clinton cares for this country, and wants to rebound from the Bush administration’s debacle.
I guess the point of this blog is what will happen after the Democratic nominee is chosen? Since this campaign is growing uglier by each passing day, will either supporter of the candidates support the chosen nominee? And will it change forever change the Democratic Party?
As for the SNL message board? As infuriated I was about the “TV Funhouse skit”, I decided not to comment on it. After what I read between the candidates supporters, I felt it wasn’t worth the time to waste my words on childish bickering.
For the record, I am an Obama supporter.

I am sick and tired of folks throwing the word “Patriotism” to guilt up voters, or in Senator Obama’s case, create character assassination. This uproar is over the most minute things; such as, wearing a lapel pin of the American flag (something John McCain or many other politicians does not wear all time), or bash Mrs. Obama for a recent speech to a crowd of her husband’s supporters.
So what’s Patriotism? According to “The American Heritage” dictionary, a patriot is one who loves, supports, and defends one country. Where do these people go off criticizing Mrs. Obama’s words: “For the first time in my lifetime, I am proud of my country”. These pundits and experts are supposed to be intelligent! Didn’t they learn critical listening skills somewhere in their academic careers? Okay. Let me say this slow for the confused and the hard-of-hearing experts: Mrs…Obama…meant…she…was proud…of…the…sudden,…vast…interest…and…enthusiasm…of…this…election year’s… political… process. Is that clear enough?
And c’mon, this controversy over a lapel pin? Gee-whiz……whatever……gimmie a damn break! Last night, as I was writing this legitimate gripe, I was watching “Anderson Cooper 360”, they showed a clip of Hillary Clinton at her rallies in Texas and Ohio. I carefully examined those clips, and I did not see any lapel pins, anywhere on her, not even a broach. Does that make her “un” patriotic?
Also, yesterday, a picture of Senator Obama wearing some type of garment when he visited Africa in 2006. My thought…… [***cricket, cricket***]…..To sarcastically translate, BIG DEAL! He was visiting his paternal side of his family in Kenya. Senator Obama was probably participating in a traditional African ceremony. As a black woman, if I was to visit Africa to meet my ancestors, I would participate in an African ceremony wearing gorgeous and bright African garments. My daughter takes part in African dancing at her school. She also wears an African garment when she performs. Getting in touch with our ancestry, does that make us bad?
Let me tell you what I think Patriotism is supposed to be! Part of patriotism is supporting your fellow person. What happened to that support in the gulf region during Hurricane Katrina? Remember the devastation that lined the Gulf of Mexico in at least three states? Remember the city of New Orleans that was 80% flooded after the levees had broken? If anyone had been on another planet around a couple of years ago, and missed the horrific images on TV, I can tell you they were heartbreaking and surreal. If I felt forgotten for those five and long agonizing days, I, too, would feel a sense of “hopelessness”. Let’s see, you own government (local, state, and federal) disses you in a time when you need them the most. Where’s the patriotism in that?
The skyrocketing cases of HIV in the African-American community are more than an epidemic, but a tragic pandemic. Either no or little attention has been shedded on this crisis by our government officials. Where’s the support?
Where’s the support of education? After all, since the “No Child Left Behind Act” had been implemented, there have been more high school students dropping out leaving school behind….
What about the nation’s infrastructures; such as, the bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis? It was already proven when the levees broke in New Orleans that this can happen when we least expect it. If it can happen in those places, it’s chance it can happen again….anywhere.
For the folks who loves pulling the “patriotism card”, let me tell you something; I am truly blessed to be an American. It also makes me to the stomach when someone use that attack on someone’s character. If anyone needs to check themselves is the Bush administration for not supporting their own citizens at a time when they were in desperate need, regardless if they did not vote for him. Along with this, what about the brave military vets, who have to beg for benefits for their sacrifice and service for this country. Is this patriotic? If so, I missed something.
An hour ago, I was watching the MSNBC news. According the news channel, the Clinton camp is accusing the Senator Obama of plagarizing his speeches.
Hello....Throughout her recent stumps, did she or didn't she use familiar lines from the Obama campaign in her speeches? To me, the Clinton camp is being petty. If "Solutions" is her campaign title now, then by all means, speak of the "solutions". Why is she worried about some words? Besides what politician hasn't used quotes from other famous speakers or authors.
Let's worried about the issues, and not worry about phrases in someone speech.....
Senator Clinton feels that because she won in states in Florida and Michigan, she deserves those delegates.
Well, for one thing, Florida and Michigan moved up their primaries against the DNC the rules...so because of that, they were stripped from the delegates. Also, the other candidates such as, Obama and Edwards names were not the ballot in Michigan nor did they campaign in Florida....as they all sworn prior this race. So what's that old cliche'? "Rules are rules"?.....or "What's fair is fair"?
I have so much respect for Hillary Clinton, but c'mon, does really expect the DNC to break their own rules? Along with this controversy of the Superdelegates and these two states, this could be a potential time bomb for the Democratic party....that's if Senator Clinton has it her way.
I say let the voters decide, not the Superdelegates. If the nearly 800 of these Superdelegates do decide, I hope they vote according to the majority in their states or districts and not because of a candidate tell them so.
EDITED NOTE: I HAVE WRITTEN THIS BEFORE THE SUPER TUESDAY ELECTIONS. AT THE TIME, I DIDN'T KNOW WHEN THE INDIANA PRIMARIES ARE HELD...HAVING SAID THIS, I AM LOOKING FOR MAY 6 TO VOTE FOR OBAMA!
Super Tuesday is coming up in five days! And unfortunately, I live in Indiana. Perhaps it has something to do with amount of delegates that Indiana has or something, but I wish I can participate on picking the next Democratic nominee.
If you've been browsing through my profile, and notice I have an eloquent quote by Senator Barack Obama...Then you are right to assume that I am a Obama supporter.
It is something about this Senator from Illinois. Critics has said many things such as his lack of experience, he's a dreamer, or just hopeful man that just has great speaking skills. I see more than that in Obama. Between Senator Clinton and Senator Obama, the issues that they are conveying are relatively similar. But there's one thing I admire about Obama.....Visionary of hope.
After the seven or eight years of hell that Bush put this country through, this country needs hope. For me, after Katrina, was the first time I have seen hopelessness in the United States. I even cried. This is suppose to be the greatest country in the world, and yet, there's no good quality healthcare or insurance for every American. Our educational system is lacking behind internationally. The high school dropout rate is staggering (believe me, I know...my son). The housing foreclosures....sky rocketed. Gas prices.....up. Groceries....up. The all-mighty American dollar has weakened. The American creditibility to world.....messed up. It's the whole ecomony in the nutshell. So that's where I feel hope needs to grow...within the blood, sweat, and tears of every American in this country.
