Prayer and Positive Thinking!!!!

ALL Positive energy (whether through prayer or positive thinking) for our campaign, our candidate & his family, and our Obama family members is needed today as we march on in Unity to Victory.

If You're Nervous About Making Calls.....

When the campaign first came to TX and I was asked to make calls, I was terribly nervous; but after talking with my mom (who lives in OH and did calls for Kerry) I committed to at least ONE call for the sake of the campaign.

The field organizer saw how uncomfortable I was (I felt like throwing up, literally, but I wanted to push myself to call 5 people). He said that he & his dad knew the Obama's personally and spoke with him frequently. He would tell Barack just how brave I was that day.

Well...THAT got me excited and pumped up! I made 4 calls (2machines, 1 no answer, and 1 for Clinton). I dreaded making the last call (secretly hoping for another machine).

I'd already committed to ONLY calling the voters who were 50yrs & younger (the ages were on our call-out sheets), because I didn't want the older people to think I was being intrusive.

I dialed the number, it rang, and then (to my horror), I noticed the woman's age was 76! It was too late to just hang up, so I was hoping no one was home....no such luck.

I started the call with an enthusiastic...."Good afternoon, my name is "so & so" with the Obama campaign, and I'm calling to......"

All of a sudden, this woman went WILD! She was on FIRE for Barack! She was talking so fast and so loud about how Happy she was to get my call and how Excited she was to vote for Obama! She went on and on and on....and did I mention...on! I could hardly get a word in edge-wise! LOL

She ended the call with..."I'm on my way out, but Thank You for calling, you just made my day!"I was able to squeeze in a Thank You and that SHE made MY day!!! Of course, after that, I was unstoppable!

So, if you're hesitant about making calls, I hope my personal experience will encourage you to pick up the phone and give it a try!Even if it's only an initial commitment of just 1 or 5 calls! It's so worth it!!!

PA...Whatever happens, WE LOVE YOU and THANK YOU!!!

Whatever happens tonight, PLEASE remember to Thank our PA voters and those who were able to help GOTV (both in PA & across the country).Unfortunately, I remember all too well, the comments I read on the blog after our Election Day in TX. I'm originally from OH, but living in TX. To have walked in the door that evening, physically & mentally exhausted, turn on the TV set and hear them project "her" as the winner of TX and showing that she'd won OH, was almost more than I could bare. It was a devastating blow to physically live through it, but equally as devastating to come to the blog for comfort only to read a barrage about how much more we could/should have done. It was extremely hurtful. I just turned off both TV & computer and cried. I knew we could "take her" in the Caucus round, which of course we did, but that wasn't acknowledged at all. Since I'd joined the blog during our 11-state winning streak, I didn't know if everyone was giving up on Obama or if that's just the way it is on the blog after a defeat. I've since learned better.However, as I read cautions of "don't forget what happened in TX" or hear the MSM saying "Just like when she won in OH & TX...." it just breaks my heart every time. It's like a wound that won't heal. At times we talk about closing the gap, but I have to tell you that it takes an ENORMOUS amount of work to tighten the numbers by even one point. What they're doing in PA is nothing short of a miracle Already! Most of us have been through our Primary Election Day and we know how Great it feels when it's our turn. But there's nothing more Exciting (and yet agonizing) to be considered the state that will be the "Decisive End-Game".Our PA Obama family are out there giving it ALL they've got to pull this off for our guy. They're not 'closely' watching the blog and they're definitely not watching the exit poll numbers or listening to pundits & spinners. They're out there relentlessly working their butts off and are putting their hearts and souls into their efforts, all while being thankful that other Obama supporters around the country are working and praying WITH them. Yes, some may check in with the blog to let us know how Great things are going where they are and to get re-fueled by our Positive comments; but then they're right back out the door to push even harder. They haven't slept more than 3 hrs per night during this last week and though they're running on fumes and a prayer, they would not miss this opportunity for Anything. They are drained, yet optimistically hopeful. It's easy to cheer them on now, but let's continue it throughout tonight and tomorrow!Tonight, when they've done all they can do and the results are in, they'll come to the blog. When they do, PLEASE, I'm begging you, PLEASE give them all the support you can muster. They're going to need it and they will Truly appreciate it.Thanks for listening!FIRED UP & READY TO SUPPORT!!!

Bones Falling.....

McCain is so far out of the game, he doesn't even know what ballpark the game is being played in.

HRC is such a Republican narcissist, she thinks the definition of Win is Lie.

Bill has so many skeletons in his closet that, "every time he opens his mouth...a bone falls out".

Barack is so far above the political fray and the non-sense of this race, the opposition can't handle him and it's killing them. They're so blinded by rage and self-promotion that they don't see that they Themselves are the downfall of their own campaign.

They never saw him coming and they can't stand it that they can't stop him. They can't stand knowing that he'll do what they can only dream of...he'll bring our country back into fruition.

They refuse to accept that "this is a Movement...not a Moment".

If Barack wasn't such a Awesome Leader and Great Unifier, he could choose to politically destroy them in a heart-beat...just by revealing the Truth about who they Really are. But no, he's above that. He refuses to "go there" and in the process is showing us that you don't Have to "go there" in order to win, in order to lead, in order to have and deserve respect!

I love you guys...I love this campaign...and I never thought I'd live to say this, but...I love our next POTUS!

TX Convention Experiences...

WOW!!! Don't know about you guys, but yesterday's Convention was both a grueling challenge, as well as an amazing experience! :0)

On March 4th, our Precinct fell short of the delegate count. 7 for Obama and 10 for HRC. So, in preparation for the county convention, we all received our HQ training and were determined to get all 7 of us delegates to be in attendance. We made it (by the skin of our teeth)! :0) And, I'm so Happy that we did...

WE were all there; however, not all of HRC's delegates showed up! Long story short, Obama won the Delegate to go to Austin! Yaaaayyy!

It was a looooooong day...and night (you guys know what I'm talking about), but it was soooooo worth it! I could go on about it forever, but I'd like to hear from you. Please take a moment to share with me how things went at Your convention. Thanks! Obama '08 YES WE CAN!!!
