THANK YOU! GOD BLESS AMERICA! GOD BLESS PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CELEBRATE!!!!
NOW LET'S ALL GET BEHIND PRESIDENT OBAMA AND MOVE OUR COUNTRY FORWARD!!
Contact Speaker Pelosi now. Please take a few seconds. She has stated her very reasonable position that the candidate that the people select should be the nominiee for the Democratic Party. Sen. Clinton's supporters amazingly disagree as they continue to find a way to change the rules, pressure super delegates, or smear Clinton's way on the ballot in November. Please check out this article in the Washington Post. If my link does not work, I apologize. Please cut and paste it. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/story/2008/03/26/ST2008032603633.html Basically, twenty billionares supporting Clinton have contacted Speaker Pelosi to try to pressure her. It is very important that YOU contact Speaker Pelosi to tell her that we may not be billionares but there are millions of us and we are paying attention in our support of Sen. Obama.
Speaker Pelosi can be contacted here http://www.speaker.gov/contact/
Please tell her how you feel. It doesn't have to be long. Even if you only say, "Sen. Obama is the best candidate. Do not let us be cheated out of his leadership!" I sent the following message. Come on friends and groups, let's be counted.
Speaker Pelosi,Please do not let billionaires buy our next President. I am and educated, white, independent who has had little interest in politics until Sen. Obama's refreshing campaign. I am not swayed by the attempts to draw attention away from the real issues and the despicable tactic of dividing the Democratic Party by appealing to racism to gain votes. I have donated to Sen. Obama's campaign despite having two kids and a disabled mother. I am paying attention now and that will not stop. What I have witnessed with the Clintons has been damaging to the Democrat's chances in November. Please do not take this as some sort of ultimatum, but frankly, I will only be voting for Sen. Obama in November. The damage that President Bush has done and that the Clintons are doing makes me wonder if a 3rd political party will finally emerge. Ms. Speaker Pelosi, obviously you must be an impressive person of character to achieve the office you hold. I pray you will not be swayed and will let the people decide the Democratic candidate. Thank You,Michael Williams (potential Democrat)
A More Perfect Union was the best speech I have ever seen. I never thought I would ever see a politician like Sen. Obama. He faces problems head on. He keeps to what he believes to be right and loyal no matter the audience or the poll data. He explores all sides of the argument rather than forcefully influencing one side. He uses common sense and intellect to narrow it down to a choice we must make. In today's America, the different races are not each others rival. Our problems come from corporations that have no soul. Corporations that have no other values other than to make money. Corporations controlling our country and representing far less than one percent of our people. Our nation has fallen into a pit and Sen. Obama has thrown us a rope. Sen. Obama will not be perfect. He is not God. He is only a man who admittedly will make mistakes just like we all do. However, he is also a man with an exceptional sense of clarity. He is a man that has once in a generation qualities of leadership. I really wish every person would see that speech. We should all ask others to watch it and ask them to enlighten others. The news will cut it down to sound bytes. Biased news will show segments most likely to be misunderstood. After all, the media is owned by corperations that make more money from controversy than truth. Thankfully, we live in a time where the internet can help us seek the news ourselves. Send a link to this speech to people you know. Link
HRC says that Sen. Obama only has one speech and McCain has a life time of experience. I say SHAME ON YOU Mrs. Clinton.
By Trini4Obama We are confident of your integrity and consistency to play by the rules, but it's time to get tough, real TOUGH. Clinton has no experience compared to you. The information is available for the public. But here's her record. 1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site. 2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month. 3. Did you know that you can not only read Sen. Obama's stance on issues, but you have the opportunity to comment or submit your ideas? What is especially different about Sen. Obama is that he might actually listen to those ideas . It is just one of many ways that he has inspired us to say "Yes WE Can!"
Submitted to Sen. Obama
Please consider eliminating drug company advertising for prescription drugs. I watched one of Sen. Obama town meetings in Ohio on youtube. I would like to further discuss one of Sen. Obama points. He mentioned that drug companies needed to make profits. This is 100% true. There has to be a financial incentive to keep some of the brightest people searching for treatments and cures. Sen. Obama also mentioned that they spend a lot of money on advertising. This is so true. Many drug companies are now spending huge amounts of money to market drugs only available from their doctors. This results in patients asking for medications that may not be the best or cheapest solution for them. I would make prescription drug advertising illegal. I would allow companies to contribute to a fund that educates patients about medical conditions. This would allow the drug companies to inform patients that there are treatments available and will allow the doctor to choose the best treatment. If drug advertising can not be eliminated, perhaps Sen. Obama could propose tax breaks for drug companies that spend more money focusing on research than advertisement. Thank you for the opportunity to express my thoughts. I look forward to voting for Sen. Obama in November.
Don’t buy the media doom and gloom. The media gets ratings and more money by dragging this out. Sen. Obama is right on track. There will be a tendency for disappointment since we would like to win every state. The truth of the matter is that Sen. Obama still has a large delegate lead with promising states ahead. We were able to turn around races that were 20 points down and gain support despite Hillary throwing the kitchen sink full of bigotry, innuendo, and fabricated smears. Our candidate has conducted himself admirably and with his usual dignity throughout. Sen. Obama is a brilliant person who will learn from the events of the past few weeks. Hillary is too far behind to have any realistic shot at winning. The super delegates know this. The Democrats also want to win in November and Sen. Obama is best able to achieve victory. As long as we continue our support, we will prevail over the negative tactics of the Clintons. This battle will only make Sen. Obama stronger when he faces similar tactics in November. In fact, we may look back on these events as the best thing that could have happened for Sen. Obama.
We must continue our efforts with renewed vigor. We will be reaching out Wyoming, Mississippi, and Pennsylvania soon. We need continue contributing what we can. We can contribute phone calls, money, or squashing malicious untruth. Tell other supporters what you are doing, not to boast but to motivate. Consider donating $5 or $10 through a group you belong to over the next week. Stir your groups into action. Consider a matching donation that will encourage someone else. We are Sen. Obama’s support. We must maintain our dignity and grow stronger as well. We must take back our country from the special interests. Friends, now is not the time for apathy. The opposition will not give up its chokehold on power easily. We must not be deterred. Sen. Obama needs our continued support so that he can become our advocate for change in the White House.
I have contacted the DNC in response to the opposition's politics of hate that have become increasingly apparent in the past few weeks. You too can contact them at the following http://www.democrats.org/contact.html
To the Leadership of the Democratic Party,
I have serious objections and concerns about the way that Sen. Clinton has decided to focus her campaign on negativity and divisive tactics. I have been an independent and basically a spectator to the democratic process since 1988. Honestly, I had become disgusted with the constant partisan bickering and the lack of vision that I believe both parties share some responsibility. Partly because of President Bush and partly because of my desire to improve our nation for my children, I now gravitate to your party. I read Sen. Obama's book and was inspired by his combination of common sense and ethics which I thought would make a great leader for this country. I have supported Sen. Obama and he has earned my vote in the primary.
Until the last few weeks, I probably would have voted for which ever Democrat had won the nomination. However, the tactics used by Sen. Clinton have appalled me and I will now only be supporting a Sen. Obama ticket. Her use of fear with her 3 am ad was desperate. President Clinton's attempt to trivialize Sen. Obama's victory in South Carolina due to race was reprehensible. The Canadian NAFTA issue seems to have Rove tactics written all over it. Sen. Clinton's calculated move of shaking Sen. Obama's hand on television and the very next day shrieking "shame on you" in response to Sen. Obama using the truth was shameful. Blaming and whining about the media for her lack of victories was weak and undignified. Her campaign’s use of the photo of Sen. Obama in native African clothing and her ambiguous response to the attempt to smear Sen. Obama questioning his Christianity appealed to bigotry. Her endorsing Sen. McCain over Sen. Obama was divisive and extremely damaging to the Democratic Party’s chance of winning in November. Rush Limbaugh must be pleased.
I beseech you to lead the Democratic Party in a new direction. Sen. Obama has the best chance of being elected in November to get things done. He has the support of many grass roots supporters like me who will not stop paying attention after the election. A new era in politics has begun that will not tolerate dirty tactics. For the good of our country and the Democratic Party, put an end to the Clinton dirty tactics and let the best candidate win. I look forward to casting my vote for Sen. Obama for President in November. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Mike W
If I had not read Audacity of Hope, I may have voted for Sen. Obama based on the urging of friends or I may not have voted at all. A friend of mine let me borrow his copy of the book. Because of his act, I became an avid supporter of the Obama campaign. In fact, the more people know about Sen. Obama, the more supporters he gains. How many states has he begun his campaign behind in the polls and after leaving the state he makes huge gains and often wins? The longer he has to campaign in a state, the better he does. It is not because people are entertained by Sen. Obama, it is because they have become better informed about his ideas.
I believe that offering the abridged version of The Audacity of Hope as a free download of some form would be a good way to build the supporter base for Sen. Obama. Any money lost in sales of the book will be more than made up for by increasing the number of donor, volunteers, and voters. I'm sure it costs a lot of money to show one commercial that may win votes. Free access to Sen. Obama's book would win not only votes but people who will work for his cause of improving our government. The audio version should be on itunes and available for the campaign's website in order to invest in future support for this November.
Until that time I urge you to read or listen to the book if you have not already done so. It is available at audible.com

If you have the time, check out these places to post your support for Sen. Obama. Many of us can not make a trip to TX, OH, RI, or WY. We can do our part from home.
Again Return By Popular Demand - The Links to TEXAS NEWSPAPERS for Blogging, Forums and Letters to the Editor By Julie Hensley - Feb 18th, 2008 at 10:06 pm EST
PLEASE!!! CROSSPOST and USE and FORWARD this information to anyone that can use it to further the campaign of Barack Obama! These links can save ALOT of time and help everyone be more productive. I am not concerned with byline just help get the info to everyone for HEAVY use prior to March 4.
In a last blog when I suggested posting our best stuff to blogs outside of this site I got a couple emails and a comment asking for suggestions 'where to go'. I'd suggest moving around a bit but staying in the current states of interest. With that said, here is some info about Texas.
I accumulated these for a Letter to the Editor campaign and so some are email addresses rather than websites BUT for most if you use the suffix of the email address - so bobs@texasnewspaper.com would mean you could go to www.texasnewspaper.com and find their website!
Please use this stuff heavily. Letters to the editor. Blogs. Forums. Crosspost stuff you've already written. See a blog someone else wrote that you like? Add a comment or message them (or both) asking if they might go post it to the site or if they will give you permission to do it (with a byline or not).
We have GREAT stuff in here but it's essentially wasted on us.. WE ARE ALREADY CONVINCED!

What is the best way for me to contribute? My family responsibilities prohibit me from traveling to TX or OH and my introverted nature makes calling irrationally difficult for me. I am considering one of the following ideas (not mine, sorry I can’t remember who to give credit to):
1. Mail out hand written post cards explaining why I volunteer and with the web address.
2. Mail nicely printed copies of a speech with a brief hand written note.
3. Leaving copies of Sen. Obama related materials like parts of his book on MP3 (legal?) or printed copies of some of his detailed stances on issues in various public locations.
The following is my message sent to the super delagates. I encourage everyone to tell thier story to inspire these crucial voters.
Sen. Obama has given me a reason to care about politics. I am 37 and have not voted since 1988. I registered to vote as an independent in order to cast my ballot for Sen. Obama. Someone I work with knew that I had become disenchanted with the state of the American political system. He lent me "The Audacity of Hope" and since my friend seemed so enthusiastic, I read the book. I highly recommend it to anyone with the great responsibility of serving as a super delegate. I was inspired by his ideas. Since I have had children, I've tended to agree more with Democrats. I particularly agree with Sen. Obama's plan to have an aggressive energy policy to create jobs, strengthen our national security, slow climate change, and keep us competitive with other nations. Other Democratic candidates have had similar plans. I feel Sen. Obama is the best candidate for a number of reasons. He has inspired many to care and want to get involved. I do not think this will end after the election. He has inspired millions like myself to use our votes to change Washington. He also strikes me as someone with the potential to be a great leader. His approach towards his Republican opposition seems like it would be best able to form the consensuses needed to actually accomplish positive changes such the energy policy or health care. I think his foreign policy would benefit us immediately. His stance of listening to other countries would make the United States seem less arrogant and less hated around the world. I do not feel this means in any way that he would be weak or that he would make decisions that are not in the best interest of our great nation. He seems quite brilliant. He not only gives good speeches, he can answer questions easily but with thoughtfulness. He seems more honest than other candidates. He admits that he is going to have false starts and that all of our problems will not be magically solved. It will take work. I find this refreshing. He has given detailed plans outlining his stance and approach to issues on his website. I appreciate the fact that he has not resorted to dirty politics and negative ads. I am impressed by what he has been able to accomplish in a relatively small about of time in the Senate. It seems like other politicians want to be associated with him and respect him. Even the Republicans seem impressed with Sen. Obama. I could go on and on. I think most of all, I am impressed that he has not taken big bucks from the lobbyists. He will be free to approach issues with wisdom and common sense instead of feeling like he owes a particular special interest. I strongly believe that Sen. Obama has the best chance to become president. For the first time, I have spoken to friends and even strangers to make them aware of Sen. Obama's remarkable campaign. I encourage people to look closely at each of the candidates and make up their own mind. I explain that Sen. Obama is the obvious choice for me and I am confident that they will agree once they become an informed voter. For the first time I have donated money to any sort of political anything. I have taken the time to write this. I will take the time vote for Sen. Obama in November. I implore the super delegates to support the candidate that their constituents have enthusiastically been voting for. I will pray that the Democratic leadership will choose the strongest candidate for president during these tough times. It is my strong opinion that Sen. Barrack Obama should be the next President of the United States. I ask your help and rely on your leadership to make the world better for my children.Thank You,MichaelRoscoe, IL
