If it is true that 14% of women under 50 went to McCain after he picked Palin then would it be safe to say that at least half of those women will go back to Obama once the excitement of this newbie fades away and these women start realizing where Palin stands on so many important issues? Or for that matter will they start remembering where McCain stands? Will they think of their children who will have to fight McCains wars?

It just seems so crazy to me that all of these women would vote against their own best interest JUST because Palin is a woman. CRAZY.........

Hiding in a VERY blue state...

I went to a rally today that really charged me up!!! Great people there... all fired up for Obama.

A few hours later I reflected on how easy it is to hide in my very blue state of Connecticut. I can wear my bumper stickers proudly on my car and hang signs in my windows, lawn signs in my yard. That is pretty easy to do around here.

So, I just want to give a shout out to all of our hard working people in VERY red states. Your job is much harder. I want to say thank you and your work is appreciated!!!

Knock, knock knockin' on people's doors....

My husband and I attended the Connecticut Presidential Kickoff rally today.

As I was walking in I met up with Congresswoman Rosa Delauro. She went out of her way to say hi to me and was very kind. (she was a VERY early supporter of Obama and caught a lot of heat for supporting Obama over Hillary)

We ended up in one of 2 overflow rooms because so many people showed up. Speakers included all of our Democratic house members as well as Senator Dodd. Every speaker was very fired up and even in our overflow room with only a speaker to listen to people were standing and cheering. It was awesome!!!

My husband and I live in Congressman Larsons district and he will easily win his race so we signed up to canvass in another district where the race for a Democratic seat will be much tighter.

We also signed up to drive to NH and canvass. What is even more exciting is that my husband has a relative in Italy who is so interested in this election that he is coming to visit in October and he is going to go to NH with us.

After the rally we went out to lunch and the server asked us how many people showed up to the rally. We told her over 2,000 and she was shocked. She said the word around town was that 400 would show up!!!!

Over all a very exciting day. I have done some phone calling but have yet to canvass. It makes me very nervous but I know I must hit the streets and knock on doors. I could never live with myself if we lost and I had not done all I could.

Dear McPander,
I thought I should bring it to your attention that women actually do have brains. That they care passionately about the issues and the direction of this country. Simply putting a woman on a ticket does not make us go into zombie mode and start chanting McCain/Palin '08.
You Sir have seriously misjudged the women in this country. I guess that should not be a surprise considering the disregard you seem to have for womens issues and your very own wife for the matter.

I am so pleased with this ticket!!!!!!! We are going to go out and kick some McDraft butt with this ticket.

I think Obama and Biden will compliment eachother well and will have a great working chemistry. For the 1st time in my adult life I am fully engaged in a campaign. My heart and soul is in it because I want OUR America back. I want my children to inherit a great America!!!!

Go Obama and Biden. I am behind you 100%!!!!!!!!

I have been doing some reflecting today and thinking about this campaign. What a damn fine campaign!!!! Right down to the VP announcement. As much as I am DYING to know who it is..... the build up is kind of fun. I feel like a kid at Christmas!!! I could not tell you where I was when Gore announced Lieberman (grrrrr) or Kerry announced Edwards but I know I will rememer for the rest of my life where I was when Obama announced ???????

I LOVE THIS CAMPAIGN!!!!!!!!!

Sorry about your regrets Dubya. However, I regret where you have taken our country and our world.

Your regrets mean very little to me and even less to the families who have lost loved ones I am sure. I hope some day the guilt of what you have done finally dawns on you and haunts you for the rest of your life. That is the least of what you deserve GWB!

Obamacrat is the man!!!!!

A little over a week ago I received a very special package in the mail from our friend Obamacrat. Inside I found an autographed (yes, by Barack Obama!!!!!) copy of The Audacity of Hope. I could not believe it!!!!!

Then yesterday Obamacrat started a money bomb for my fundraising page. In one day he managed to boost my page by over $1500 and I have exceeded my goal!!!!!!

Words cannot illustrate how touched I am by his generosity and kindness. I know there are many others on this blog who know first hand what a great person our Obamacrat is.

So.... Thank you Jamie from the bottom of my heart!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
