Though I am very proud of who I'm voting for (Sen. Obama), I decided that when I went off to college that I wouldn't be overly expressive about my party affilitation or political choices when it comes to my roomate. I didn't realize that not everyone would make that same decision.
My roomate doesn't go a day without calling Sen. Obama out of his name or making foul-mouthed remarks about him. Every day it gets more offensive to me and she is getting far to personal with her remarks about the person I made the decision to vote for. On top of that, the things she says are outright lies and ignorant, such as: he's trying to make peoples' opinioins of gays a hate crime and that she isn't voting for him because he will call for troops to be home in a year (even though she's in the army herself). She's even gone so far as to say that Sen. Obama " is so full of ...you fill in the rest". Now I am a love, peace and non-violence type of person, but it is getting to the point that I am getting sooo angry but not saying anything until she goes too far.
How do I deal with a roomate who is as negatively vocal and ignorant who is constanly outright disrepecctful to my beliefs and choices????
Even though it is widely known that Rev. Wright was Sen. Obama's pastor, I've never heard that he endorses his candidacy. Forgive me if I'm wrong because it is a question I've had for a while. I know we're all trying to forget the harshly put and seemingly perfectly timed words by his former pastor to the press, but if he isn't all for Sen. Obama then it could be considered that Hilary was meant to benefit from the few people who chose to no longer support the Sen. because of these comments. Now don't think I'm a conspiracy theorist because my grandmother is the one who asked me to get my fellow Obama supporters' opinion. Basically, she wants to know if you all think it is possible that Hilary ad something to do with Rev. Wright's mini tour with the press that restated and undoubtedly did more damage than his first words.

Ok, now i don't know how late i am but have to speak on it. there is a guy on youtube with his "cult" stating that he will kill all of the lying leaders on a mountain top. While this is being said, a screen appears with the ;pictures of several people; firstly, Sen. Obama, Bill Clinton, TD Jakes, and other prominent people. I just want to know how all of you feel about this? What could we do about it? This guy is saying he's going to kill these people, former presidents, fututre presidents, pastors, I mean why has this man and his followers not been arrested? Please look up this video on youtube.com. I promise you it will shake you to your very core.

Undoubtedly, there are an enormous amount of people that support future Pres. Obama. People have their own reasons of why they choose to support him. But after hearing what alot of students at my school have to say, it seems as if they are only voting in favor of him because he is black or because he is the only name they know. When I asked all of them if they knew who Bobby Scott (who actually came to our school) or Tim Kaine was, they were absolutely clueless. Now I'm glad that they supported him, but I'm not completely certain that I would want someone ignorant to something as important as local government, having any say over a decision as important as choosing our next leader.

I woke up at quarter after five this morning just so I could get to the polls and vote before I went to school. We've done all we could do at this point. Virginia better not disappoint. Let's get Barack in office!
Just by luck I heard that Sen. Obama sould be here in Hampton Roads on Sunday. I got in a line of about fifty people at one o'clock. Of course there were people behaving ignorantly by cutting hundreds of people in line when they got there late. I stood in line for almlost five hours. I stood inside the convention center for two more. When Sen. Obama finally came out to speak, it was like confirming that this was not just too good to be true. This man that I had only read about, heard about, and listened to for over a year and a half (way before he was widely known) was actually real. The change he speaks of and strives for actually exists. Hearing him speak was simply incredible. It was literally the difining moment of the rest of my life.
So I hear on the news this morning that a teenager has started his own jewelry line. Good news, but get this; he has copyrighted the term "change" and has supposedly warned the Obama campaign not to use it. Can he do that? Right now? If someone could please explain what impact this could possibly have.

The Clinton campaign (surprisingly Pres. Clinton too) is getting rediculous. She has been attacking Sen. Obama from the start, which is kinda expected since she's the one running against him. But when former President Bill Clinton starts bad mouthing Obama, it becomes offensive. Between Hilary's croc tears and Bill's attacks, thats probably what we saw on yesterday, pitty votes. The Clinton campaign will do anything for votes. They called him cocky in Saturday's debate for not saying much. They say he's on the offense when he speaks up. I would love to see what comes next. What more can they attack him with that he has not already faced and defeated? Besides we all know that Pres. Clinton secretly endorss Obama.
