This is the first time I've checked back in a while (since Election night!). I am happy to see folks are still active here on the blogs. I look forward to participating more here as well as reading what others have to say, and we sure have plenty to "talk" about!! Warm regards, TGirl71
Amazing! I am so moved and happy to be a part of this moment in our American history.
Barack the Vote!!!! At 7am today, I was the first in my district to check in, obtain a ballot, then 4th to cast my vote in the ballot box.
"I long to accomplish great and noble tasks, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker." ~Helen Keller
I have been humbled, exhilerated, and joyous to have been a part of this amazing grassroots movement. Little by little we have built up the momentum, and tomorrow we will achieve victory. Deep down in my gut I feel it. YES WE WILL!! In the Spirit for Obama~Biden 2008, TGirl71
I am so so sad to hear Senator Obama's Grandmum passed away today. May love, peace, prayers and the light of the Great Spirit illuminate your path, Toot. Thank you for giving us Stanley Ann, who gave us a wonderful leader in Barack Obama.
May love, peace, prayers, and light of the Great Spirit be with Senator Obama and his family at this very sad time. TGirl71
The time is now.
My family and I are watching it right now. I am looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts.

Put your energy to good use elsewhere and get lost.
Sending healing thoughts and prayers for Senator Obama's Grand Mum who is said to be seriously ill.
The words of John F. Kennedy, delivered in Washington at his inauguration on January 20, 1961: “………..The world is very different now. For man holds in his mortal hands the power to abolish all forms of human poverty and all forms of human life. And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe - the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God ………So let us begin anew - remembering on both sides that civility is not a sign of weakness, and sincerity is always subject to proof. Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate. Let both sides explore what problems unite us instead of belaboring those problems which divide us. Let both sides, for the first time, formulate serious and precise proposals for the inspection and control of arms - and bring the absolute power to destroy other nations under the absolute control of all nations. Let both sides seek to invoke the wonders of science instead of its terrors. Together let us explore the stars, conquer the deserts, eradicate disease, tap the ocean depths, and encourage the arts and commerce. Let both sides unite to heed in all corners of the earth the command of Isaiah - to "undo the heavy burdens -. and to let the oppressed go free." ……………Now the trumpet summons us again - not as a call to bear arms, though arms we need; not as a call to battle, though embattled we are - but a call to bear the burden of a long twilight struggle, year in and year out, "rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation" - a struggle against the common enemies of man: tyranny, poverty, disease, and war itself. Can we forge against these enemies a grand and global alliance, North and South, East and West, that can assure a more fruitful life for all mankind? Will you join in that historic effort? In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shank from this responsibility - I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it – and the glow from that fire can truly light the world ……...And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you– ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man. Finally, whether you are citizens of America or citizens of the world, ask of us the same high standards of strength and sacrifice which we ask of you. With a good conscience our only sure reward, with history the final judge of our deeds, let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth God's work must truly be our own.
********************************************************************************************* President John F. Kennedy invoked these words 47 years ago. Isn’t it time that we put these words into action? As you go to the polls on November 4th ask yourself this question– Do I choose to put these words into action now, or can the world wait for another half a century to pass?
On November 4th America will present itself to the world. We will show ourselves to the international community to be the true America – Land of the free, where hope, desire, and passion thrive. A place where the American Dream still lives and thrives, even in the face of economic and domestic challenges. Or we will present ourselves as a country that is polarized, segmented and lacking in moral decency. On November 4th America will make the decision to select a forward-thinking leadership model based on innovation, inclusion, inspiration, unification and enthusiasm. Or we can opt for experience– the experience that has created the America that we know today– an America at war, domestic unrest, cultural division, blame, a morally bankrupt government and economic turmoil. Whatever the choice, we will love America – because it gives us that choice. But regardless, we must be prepared to live that choice– for ourselves, for the world, for the generations that follow. It is your future that is at stake on November 4th.
May God Bless America. May God Bless our Planet. (Taken from: http://www.ebookobama.com/)
We have less than 3 weeks to go, and we must remain vigilent. My concern is not that Obama won't win, but that the election will be stolen from us in some way by hanging chads, pregnant chads, and some form of Republican, neo-con rigging. We have to be ready to fight for this one, cause' it ain't over till it's over!! They will NOT steal this one from us this time!!

What is the difference between voting for a McCain/Palin ticket and childbirth?
One is an excruciating, painful, unbearable experience that gets you screaming in agony. The other is just having a baby.
Sarah Palin comes home from hunting and says, “I shot a big elk!”
Todd asks, “Are you going to have him mounted?”
“Nah,” Sarah says, “I’ll just mount his membership card.”
Why does Sarah Palin act like such as idiot?
Who says she’s acting?
I can't wait to hear how McSame answer that one about Sarah Failin', LOL!!!!!
Why did Sarah Palin buy a new shotgun?
Because her daughter is getting married.
Why is voting Sarah Palin in as VP like hiring a hooker?
Either way, you’re screwed.
Why did McCain pick Sarah Palin as VP?
Because he thinks we won’t have to pay her as much as a man.
How long can a human live without brains?
Depends. How old is Sarah Palin?
What’s the difference between Sarah Palin and yogurt?
Yogurt has culture.
The McCain camp wants to send Sarah Palin to Nicaragua to flesh out her foreign policy experience. Governor Palin says she can’t wait to see the falls.
Why is Dolly Parton mad at McCain and Palin?
Because they are the two biggest boobs in the world.
I'm waiting for the steam to come out of his ears.
