Hi there, I'm a teamster who works as a package handler at UPS. I work in New England, and I was born and raised here. I have traveled a great deal through school, and I have friends who are of all faiths and walks of life. I'm what one might call a "connector". I don't have a lot of money, and I don't have a lot of time, but I do have the gift of gab, and so I'm going to talk to everyone I possibly can about what is happening, and how Obama's campaign is looking to seriously address those issues in a rational manner.
I'm writing a paper for one of my classes - its title is "Six sides to every box: safety and the spiral of silence" and I am focusing on how safety practices are lost in the day to day shuffle and how we need to work together to make sure safety isn't lost, or worse: forgotten. I think that applies here, too. There are many sides to the issues at hand - the war in Iraq, the pending trouble with the UN weapons council and Iran. There are many sides to the issues of poverty and mismanagment of education. Let's talk about them. Let's tell all of our friends to read The Audacity of Hope. Let's make sure we try to make a difference every day. For our safety, and our sanity, let's make sure that this election is in the bag, rather than lost in the kerfluffle.
I am a martial artist, I study kung fu. I am a student at a local state college, I am a double major in Sociology and Elementary Education. I am a writer, and I spend a bit of time everyday working on a science fiction story. I am a dogwalker, and I meet up with other Dogs and their humans and we go play together. I am a union member, and I work hard for my paycheck. I am a human, in the USA, and I think we can make a difference. Today. Now. We need to get out there - He believes in us.
