Today i saw the new campagin by mcain and in that ad the announcer makes a point that he rejected early release.....the implication...that his rejection of early release was because of his patriosm.......i thought this concept needed clarification.........for insight...consider this.......
The Code of US Fighting Forces is a code of coduct that is......an ethical guide......and a Unites States Department of Defense Directive consisting of six articles to memebers of the US Armed Forces addressing how US personnel in combat should act when they must....avade capture & resist while a prisoner or while escaping from the enemy. Its an important part of military doctrine but not formal law as in the Uniform Code of Military Justice........
Article 3 addresses the subject of Repatriation ( early release )...Early Release, ahead of the sick, injured, or longer held prisoners is consider Parole, a privlege or special favor prohibited by this Aritcle.......so the real reason McCain HAD to stay, was that he was accutely aware of the US Forces Code of Conduct and he knew the outcry that would result from accepting this type of early release from his captives......
I m only bringing this up in response to his campagn misleading ad......
could someone please respond to this blog with a comment providing information on the names and email addresses of the official campaign members here in Arizona......and hopefully, their responsibilities so i can find out where i can best focus my efforts on behalf his obama 08....thank you....stephen hiteshew
