I attended the 27th LD Meeting tonight in Tacoma and learned that if you are a delegate and wish to move on to the Democratic National Convention in Denver as a national delegate representing Washington you must fill out a Declaration of Candidacy form (direct link) and send it no sooner than March 5, 2008 and no later than April 2, 2008.

Chuck Olsen of Blogumentary posted the raw footage of his documentary called "God in Our Governments". Olsen interviews four women from Lynchburg, TN that identify themselves as Non Denomination Christians. In it they state their support for Governor Huckabee, God in government, policy as biblical prophecy and Obama's insistence on swearing in with the Koran.
After watching, I'm sad. We, Obama supporters, have a lot of work to do but some people are beyond reach. But we can still reach many, many others.
Yes, we can.

Just watched an embarrassing video of Texas State Senator Kirk Watson (D-TX) on Chris Matthews tonight that hammered home the need to know the facts about our candidate.
Please take time to go to factcheck.barackobama.com, or subscribe to the RSS Feed, and read through the the issues.
I can't say I would have done better that the Texas State Senator tonight and I may never be on live TV but I know I'll be a little more prepared when asked by friends, neighbors and co-workers at home, on the phone or at the local pub.
Huffington Post points out something McCain said in his speech tonight to criticize Obama.
"In August, Sen. Barack Obama had made the argument that, as president, he would target Al Qaeda officials in Pakistan even without the country's acquiescence -- the type of attack that, six months later, proved to be successful."
I sent the following via the contact form on barackobama.com.

Great site! A few questions though;
1. Is there a mobile version of the site? I went to barackobama.com/mobile and saw the text messages, ringtones, etc but that's so 2004. The site loads very slowly over EDGE. I travel quite a bit and want to stay connected, blog and just keep up to date on the campaign but it's not practical with all the Flash and the long time it takes to load. Even though this is targeted at web development for the iPhone it's a great guide to standards based websites that look great on a variety of mobile platforms.
2. Is there an XML-RPC interface for the blog? Make it easier to participate.
3. Is there an API for the site in general. It would be awesome to allow developers to tap into the website. Imagine the mashup possibilities as well as the message to the tech saavy crowd.
Thanks for running such a great site and a great, clean campaign.
If there are any district 27 delegates out there, shout out. I know folks are trying to plan a larger delegate meet-up but should we start small? A local pub or restaurant for dinner and a drink?
Just thinking out loud here. Suggestions welcome.
Hello World, I am 36, African American and Korean and married. I am a 10 year resident of Tacoma, a 28 year resident of Washington and an Army brat. I've lived in Germany, Korea and Texas and I've traveled to many points in between for work, pleasure and both. I've been a student, a soldier and am a Systems Engineer for a large computer company. Now I'm an Obama delegate for district 27, precinct 305.
