Noah and I sat up a table on the Grand Concourse to register voters. We had flyers listing Barack's stand on the Issues.
It was a beautiful sunny day. The traffic was slower on the Grand Concourse than I expected. We sat for 2 hours (12:00 noon - 2:00pm) and registered 11 people. Most of those we registered were young adults.
The next Voter Registration we will also sale buttons.
All in all I am happy we did the Voter Registration yesterday.
YES WE CAN!!!
OBAMA '08
Watched a political talk show today. A poll was taken that indicates Obama is losing ground to McCain on the issue of drilling for oil.
Apparently, the poll indicates people prefer drilling for oil because of the current price of gas and believe the price of gas will be lowered if we drill for oil.
Obama must educate the people on his energy policy vs McCain's idea of of drilling for oil. I know on BO'08 website there is an outline of his energy. Most people unfortunately will not read it.
Obama must illustrate the timeline, the cost and what people will actually save over the course of time. A powerpoint presentation would be an excellent visual aid to increase voter's knowledge about his energy plan for the future of our country.
Found the content below on Wikipedia, thought it interestig and want to share."The difference between what a nation sells to the U.S. and what the U.S. sells to that nation is called the trade deficit. The country today with the largest trade deficit with the U.S. is China. The Chinese Yuan is fixed to the dollar. The U.S. is being flooded with cheap Chinese goods, often outsourced by U.S. multinational corporations such as Wal-Mart. As of 2003, China's trade surplus with the U.S. was more than $100 billion a year, Japan $70 billion, Canada $48 billion, Mexico $37 billion, and Germany $36 billion; a total deficit of almost $300 billion of the colossal $480 deficit in 2002.The total U.S. debt--public and private--has more than doubled since 1995. It is now officially over $34 trillion. It was just over $16 trillion in 1995, and "only" $7 trillion in 1985. Most alarmingly, it has grown faster than income to service it, as indicated by U.S. gross domestic product (GDP). The U.S. economy--as subverted by the cabal--now requires a daily fix of $2.5 billion to stay afloat. All this huge trade surplus with foreign nations benefits only the wealthy upper 1% in the U.S.--the members and supporters of the demonic cabal. American workers are losing jobs and retirement funds, their income is decreasing rapidly, and their standard of living is deteriorating alarmingly. Globalization is just a euphemism for dollar imperialism."We as U.S. citizens need to pay close attention to what's happening globally as well as what's happening in the U.S. regarding our trade deficit. What kind of country will we leave our children? Some food for thought!YES WE CAN!!!OBAMA '08
Barack Hussein Obama. He is our choice for the next president of the United States. King Hussein of Jordan was an ally of the United States. When I heard the negative comments, I could understand why people reacted to Barack's middle name in a negative way. I associate Barack's middle name, Hussein, with King Hussein of Jordan, who was an ally of the United States.
Also, I read someplace that "HRC unlike most American voters, knows what the word "disingenuous" means, and her recent campaign tactics reflect both her understanding of voter ignorance and gullibility and a willingness to say things she knows to be distorted or simply untrue."
Voters need to be educated about the differences between Barack Obama and HRC.
Barack's campaign is about hope and change, his opponent want it to be about lies and distortions.
We must not despair!
Change is in the air!
Hope abounds!
Where was Hillary's voice for the last 35 years? How has she liberated all women? Can someone pleasssssse explain this to me?
I believe the people that were polled about who they would vote for in the New Hampshire primary were not truthful about their choice. The pollsters were duped. I will not pay attention the polls going forward. Barack Obama is the only choice for change.
