I have been trying to find an Official Obama canvassing event within 150 - 175 mi of Ann Arbor. I have not been successful in my search so far.
If 2-3 people are interested in traveling to Indiana this weekend, I am willing to drive (leaving from Ann Arbor, MI).
If you can locate an Official Obama event and are interested in carpooling please let me know. I stress "official" because in the event that we decide to stay overnight (May 5th), the Obama organizers can assist with housing search.

As we all know, this is a very important primary. Let's get on our feet and knock on some doors!
I hope to hear from some fellow Michiganders soon!
Friends & Family,
I believe that Barack Obama just gave one of the post important speeches in Presidential history.
In his speech 'A More Perfect Union', Barack frankly and honestly addressed the complicated issues of race that our society rarely acknowledges in public forums. Below are several relevant links. I hope that you will take a few moments to view some of the speech highlights, or skim the speech transcript, or view the full 37min speech.
This speech exemplifies the spirit of Barack's presidential campaign: Bringing an often divided country together, to acknowledge our similarities, and use our differences in order to collectively solve the variety of issues facing our society.
We have several weeks before the next round of crucial primaries such as Pennyslvania, however, as Barack has stressed from the beginning, "we are not running a 3 state campaign, we are running a 50 state campaign". This means that the campaign continues to need the financial support of people like you and I.
As stressed during Barack's speech, America is dynamic. This gives me hope as we all have an opportunity to move this country in a new direction. Please consider making a donation now. Thank you for your support.

Back from Ohio, my reflections...
a day of hope & work & ice & laughs
& sleet & worry & suspense & frustration
& confusion & disbelief & exhaustion
& overwhelment & vigor & desperation & a broken down bus at 1am & reflection
& determination & inspiration & anger & loneliness
& doubt & pride & comradery
& purpose & patience.
all around the world others feel as i do
in this moment, calling for change.
i accept this world as it is
but i believe that we must
move forward, like the sankofa bird
with two heads, we have an eye
on the past, as we fly towards the future

2 hr mtg today explaining "Uncommited" Delegate Selection process.
Quite fascinating but quite confusing. A lot of fustration from the 100+ crowd members. Many feelings of party resentment for stripping us of our primary. Now I'm trying to decide how to be most helpful what are other young Michiganders planning to do between now and the March 29th Delegate Voting Day?
But good news is: I am now A REGISTERED DEMOCRAT.
My days of being an independent swing voter are over.
