Here's a response to a blogger that partially answers where I stand on the issues. To read the full post from beginning to end check here:

Slyram,
Thanks for respecting my flow, but why do we accept “better than the average conservative” in “red Georgia?” The lower class (formerly known as middle class) needs better than that. Isakson has made his fortune and he’s not thinking about the rest of us. All he has to consider is the fringe right and his corporate buds. Why do we throw up our hands and say, “Well he’s not as bad as the other one.”
Politics as usual. Everyone’s sick of it, but everyone expects the same crap from our candidates. Talk about the issues? Shoot we know the issues. We know the plans and proposals. We’ve heard them all before from every Dem and Rep who has come before.
Here’s what I want to know. Are you going to listen to me over your big donors? Are you going to do what’s right or just go straight party line every darn time? It’s time for average citizens to get into this political game at the highest level. The solutions will not come from the guy/lady on the stump. It will come from the everyday American who desperately needs those solutions. That means we’ve got to be willing to accept candidates who don’t flow the way we’re use to. rj

Hi guys. I know it's been awhile, but I've been a little busy on the road. I know many of you think that I'm on a hopeless journey. How could RJ, who's a nobody, non-millionaire, non-politician, Black, Democrat in Georgia, ever beat an incumbent GOP Senator in Georgia?? I suppose I could just throw my hands up, but I want some representation in DC for the REST OF US. I could just look around and pray that someone else takes this on. I could just moan about how embarassing our current Senators are, but I choose to do something else. If you're sick of taking it in the teeth from a Senator who's not thinking about you, then choose something else. For me, I choose to fight!! Join me by spreading the word. Tap your networks online and on the ground.

I haven't been shy about supporting our President because I do. However, that doesn't mean I won't go against a White House initiative. If it's not going to work for Georgia or I don't feel it will work for the country, then I'm going to say so. This is why it's so important for regular, average citizen to get involved in politics at the highest level. We've got to break the hold of the corporate money and special interests over our government. It's putting a wall between us and our government.
But anyway, we had great fun at the rally and it was good to be amongst friends. Check this out and the other clips in the series. rj

I haven't gone through my old Flickr photostream in awhile. It's kind of interesting to see photos with the '08 Senate Candidates. Little did I know... Check it out. Good memories. rj

The corporate & special interest groups have built a huge wall of money between us and our government. We will need determination, bodies, and some of our own money to overtake the wall. I think it's most important that you support the campaign by SPREADING THE WORD (speak, write, type) but if you can contribute financially...

Unbelievable!! To claim some political points when people are out of work and hurting?? Getting the bid would have meant JOBS & a nice boost to Chicago's economy. This is exactly what I am fighting against. While these guys play games at the top, the rest of us struggle to move forward and the gap gets wider. We've got to say enough to all of this so we get some things done in this country. rj
After college, RJ worked as a social worker in the New Jersey juvenile court system. As an advocate for at-risk children, RJ learned first-hand the importance of education in the future of our youth. After four years of public service, RJ returned to college and earned his degree in computer science.
What happened to respect for the office of President? This is completely out of hand and it's time someone say so. We have got to get over ourselves. rj
Senator Kennedy is the prime response to the "lack of experience" argument that keeps good people out of political office. From all I've read he was labelled inexperienced when he ran for Senate in 1962. He went on to have a distinguished career. We may be better served as a society by not limiting access to federal office to those with some trumped up notion of "experience". Give the regular citizen a chance to take part at that level. Rest in peace Senator, rj
George!! What's up bro? Hope all is well for you in big city. I guess Rob told you I'm getting ready to run for U.S. Senate. Need you to put in a good word for me with any friends from GA. Word of mouth will be KEY. If I pull off the miracle, it will be sick. Take care and be blessed, rj

No. I'm sorry but I reject the premise of this article. I don't care what the pollsters and pundits say. The PEOPLE will decide who represents them in DC. Can't you see that the public is mad as hell?? Tax Parties, Town Hall Brawls... this 2010 election will not be business as usual. I am tired of sending the same people back to Washington cycle after cycle. I don't care how large the war chest is. In fact, the large war chest means they won't be listening to little ol' ME. That politician will probably listen to the largest donors who created that huge war chests.
GA voters want to be heard. I am ready to listen. That's the kind of experience we need right now. I will not take you for granted. rj
