I'm not generally an outspoken man. I generally get along with most people I come into contact with. I do however, feel strongly about a great many things. As a teacher, my students can probably tell you that for certain. Granted, they only know the things which directly affect their music education.
I believe that it is time for something different. It is time that we should look at a 60% voter turnout as a dismal failure instead of a grand success. Each and every able minded American should make a pledge to actively engage in the electoral process. Most importantly, I want every American to put aside his own prejudices and honesty, carefully, and diligently consider the issues and viewpoints that each candidate presents. Learn to look past the disgusting tactics of immoral or supposedly amoral political action groups. Learn to look past the talking of people who will always support a given party no matter what happens.
