Rev.E.L.Smallwood has served as an Ordained Minister and College Protestant Chaplain who believes that the country stands at a critical point of time in human history. This country needs to turn to Christ, as does every nation in the world. Romans 13 clearly states that all real authority, be it sacred or secular, comes from God. We need transformation in America and transformational leadership, if we are to continue to be a creditable world leader. History has recorded that the Smallwood family were founding members of the Indian Woods Missionary Baptist Church in North Carolina in 1863. Many of Rev.Smallwood's family were members of that church While Rev.smallwood has served a diverse group of Baptist/Protestant congregations over the years, he continues to strongly believe in the three main principles of Christian/Baptist/Protestant doctrine. Christ centered faith, the authority of God's word and the priesthood of every believer. He has served the nation is a variety of ways. As a young commercial banker, as a military NCO who was a leader in a major chapel building program in northern Japan, as a community organizer and activist, as a social reformer, as the Senior Protestant Chaplain at a major U.S. University and in a variety of church, civic and military leadership roles for more than 40 years. He was a Martin Luther King Scholar while a student at Virginia Union University. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther king Jr was one of the greatest Christian Pastors and social reformers that America has produced. E.L.Smallwood as an American citizen, Democrat, Republican and Independent over the years has supported Johnson, Carter, Clinton, Gore, Kerry and Obama in U.S. Presidential elections. Now is the time to bring real change to the nation. This is our real challenge. Keep the faith in Christ!

Health Care Community Forum

Ongoing involvement is essential as the plan is fine tuned and implemente over the next several years.

An open forum to discuss a community strategy to insure that all persons in our community have access to reliable health care information and quality health care. Bring your cells phones as some will be requested to make telephone calls to encourage community support for the Obama Administrative Plan to include a public option.

Presentations will be made by expert comunity leadership, insurance professionals who support reform and the New Life Wellness Center. A voluntary free will offering to support our efforts will be taken.

During this Thanksgving Season, we encourage corporate and individual prayers for real change in America concerning healrh care and other critical community issues(III John 2).
