On a recent post, folks were giving a young man a hard time for being cynical about this movement that Obama has been leading, more specifically he was concerned about some recent polls.... I suddenly felt compelled to come to his defense, this is what I stated:
He's just expressing some insecurities that I'm sure many of us have felt at one point or another... the difference is, in order to get to the finish line, you gotta squash that stuff down SPLAT like a bug and keep on trucking!My teenage daughter plays basketball and so I put it to you like this.... HOW MANY FABULOUS GAMES HAVE BEEN WON BY ONE POINT, OR AT THE BUZZER?? When the race is close, you keep fighting tooth and nail until the very last second, and a WIN is a WIN no matter by one point or by 20. It's as Obama states... participate with HOPE, not with CYNICISM... So to all of you I say, in your moments of cynicism, pull yourself up by the bootstraps and help us change the world by doing something positive for the campaign that will give us this much needed win, whether by 20 points or at the buzzer!

It no longer has to be a dream folks, because America is going to do what's right to GET OUR TROOPS HOME, reduce our debt, put folks back to work at a better wage, improve our healthcare system and turn another corner in race relations by uplifting our nation to a better place again...
