Auto Maker Summit!!!

If possible, I'd like to see President Obama meet with the automakers, oil companies and environmentalists about the possibility of jump starting the Hydrogen Economy by building the infrastructure to support the new industry. The automakers have stated previously that if a fueling infrastructure were present they could begin mass production. As I am a firm believer that hydrogen and fuel cells are the answer to our future energy needs and it is advancing everywhere except the USA at present, we should be actively approaching this new economy. If President Obama spoke with the industry leaders,perhaps he would get a better idea upon a direction to embark. As Shell Hydrogen has adopted an approach to simply add hydrogen punps to its existing stations generating hydrogen on-site, perhaps it would be a start for a brand new economy.

How Can We Help???

President Obama needs to say to all Americans, we must ask how can we help??? He has a huge job ahead of him but can lay out items that we average folks can do to assist him with his efforts. Things such as buying savings bonds, increasing personal savings, enlisting in the military, public service, voluteering in general, donating to the poor, etc... in short, build on the momentum of the patriotic to improve America.

Economic Summit!!!

President Obama should be included in the economic summit if not replacing President Bush as he will be dealing with the eventual outcome. Yesterday was a momentus day recapturing the American Spirit and reviving the American dream and we dare not lose the momentum of change by enacting the same tired policies of the past 8 years. These are extraordinary times calling for extraordinary measures and President Obama's mission need not be complicated with more junk than already exists. America will support our new President and we can begin by decreasing his liabilties!!!

If a far left wing takeover means we no longer watch helplessly while the Republicans stomp our Constitution, outsource our lives to foreigners, open our borders to everyone, ruin our economy, provide free bailouts to business, and act irresponsibly in all matters then so be it!!! Bailout Betrayal!!!

Now we know the bailout was merely a ruse to provide money to corporations so they can expand and make more money NOT TO HELP OUT LENDERS TO FREE OUR CREDIT SITUATION!!! Unfortunately, both Obama and McCain voted FOR the $700B bailout which is not helping anything but corporate greed. As I have already cast my vote, I feel it was wasted and feel betrayed. No wonder no actions to reregulate our financial system have occurred, they are simply passing out money so banks can acquire other banks while Americans lose our homes, jobs, retirements and hope for the future. Forget election day as we hsve been BETRAYED ONCE AGAIN!!!

Professional Maturity Is Key!!!

Maturity comes in many forms from a baby learning how to sit upright to an elderly person learning how to die, life is a learning experience and anyone who thinks they have nothing remaining to learn shrivels and dies while still clinging to the vine. This election has exhibited outstanding maturity on the part of Obama/Biden since they haven't allowed themselves to abandon their professionalism and principles in favor of childish attacks and actions. The McPain side has resorted to the old "my daddy can whip your daddy" mentality while the Dynamic Diva goes shopping!!! Am I the only person who remembers George W. Bush saying for everyone to go shopping to save our economy??? How immature a statement to make while foreclosures, unemployment and inflation are destroying our nation yet the McPain followers are following lock-step in that same "spend our way to prosperity" concept. Palin's shopping spree shows George Bush arrogance while McCain's personal attacks based upon lies and erroneous fictitious information are a road to war redux!!! Whether it is mobile chemical weapons labs or ACORN the results are identical, create a story and sell it to the less intellectual crowd and finally call your opponent some inflammatory names such as communist, socialst, corrupt, Arab, Muslim, ditribute a video denouncing his deceased mother and let the rumours fly. Nothing could be lower on anyone's scale. I have been and continue to be impressed with the maturity of Obama/Biden and feel they are the best choice for our nation. May the good lord reward good people and smite those who would defame simply out of spite!!!

No Felons in Government!!!

In our United States of America, we have many challenges and opposition from many groups yet we must maintain the integrity of our government. Every election contains candidates espousing reform of government yet when the polls close, so do the candidates, those that win do nothing and those that lose plot to run again. America must break this chain of inaction and broken government and must start NOW by REQUIRING that no person convicted of a felony may serve in our Congress or Federal government under any circumstances and must forfeit all benefits of any government service upon conviction. This is the ONLY deterrent to corruption and our citizens losing representation by their elected representatives. If any candidate accomplished nothing more than stopping this endless madness of our elected officials skating free to collect their pensions and benefits after comitting crimes against our nation, they would be hailed as a success. All accomplishments begin with the basics!!!

This is why the abusive tactics of the McCain/Palin campaign are so dangerous and border upon traitorous since they are stirring the pot of violence in their attempt to gain political power. The Final Days!!!

I do hope Obama is feeling better after visiting his grandmother as it is a gesture befitting a good man to have taken the time to conduct such a visit. From here on out, I hope Obama will stress his cabinet picks and the fact that the cabinet actually runs the government carrying out the policies of the President. I believe Obama will have the cream of the Democratic Party as well as independents and Republicans at his disposal. This election following 8 years of devisiveness has the potential to unite our nation as never before. By focusing the nation on the economic progress of the Clinton years and hinting at recreating that atmosphere once again it would make great inroads toward healing our nation. By simply tossing out names in the final speeches with nothing definite but hining at the direction of cabinet picks. IE. Robert Reich advising on labor issues to increase US employment, Robert Rubin & Paul Volcker on fiscal responsibility, Madeleine Albright & Colin Powell advising on State Department matters, etal.. I feel that America must not only be healed but reassured in the short term. Should winter prove colder and heating costs further damage Mainstreet, a need for reconcilliation between all factions of our nation will be needed. I feel a plan for the worst, hope fore the best approach is warranted this transition season.

The Nutcase Factor!!!

I'm thinking the Ashley Todd incident is indicative of the nutcases not only working on the McCain campaign but of the fanatic followers of the Nazi right wingers. A person must be a nutcase to support a candidate who only spouts lies, fear and attacks yet offers no solutions, plans or hope. In fact, McCain scares most folks as he is capable of inciting riots with his fear mongering rhetoric toward people of limited intellect. After Obama is elected, I would recommend he keep a very low profile till at least next summer to avoid a McCain supporter backlash since these people spout hate, death, and anarchy as I've never witnessed since the days of George Wallace. It's a sad day when fear intervenes in our democracy!!!

Come Together Right Now!!!

Not only is this great line from a song, but a great sentiment at this time for our nation. With all the turmoil experienced at present America must come together as a nation, save our money, rebuild our economy based upon cash deposits instead of credit & loans, insist our leaders and government focus upon investing in our infrastructures and energy needs with emphasis upon renewables, environmental preservation and building a "Green" economy. I am a firm believer that we can save our way out of economic challenges by being efficient with our finances and patient with our sentiments. America should have a national recycling program not with the normal self-sorting multiple recycling container nonsense but with automated sorters in landfills extracting recyclables enmass from normal garbage collections without undue participation by the public as in place on Nantucket at present. We need only place "value" on our garbage via deposits on virtally every consumable to promote recycling and opportunities for all. In short, America needs ideas from everyone to improve our society and our future. We should have a suggestion program in place to reward good money saving ideas with a portion of the amount saved. I have supported Obama because I feel he has the youth, talent and openess to solicit and accept ideas for the betterment of our nation as I refer to America as a nation instead of a country. A country is geographic referring to land features while a nation are the people who comprise our population. Our flag represents our nation appropriately with the red representing the blood, toil and tears, the white representing the purity of intent of our founders and the blue of the sky representing the limit that all Americans can expect to achieve. Let us all come together once again, right now!!!

Presumptive President-elect!!!

As I have now voted and have accomplished everything in my power to assist the campaign, it is now all over but the shouting. McCain will continue spreading lies and venom in his final efforts to have the Admiral's Baby get his way regardless of what's best for America. I am hoping the polls are correct and that Obama will be our next President yet I am even more hopeful that he will be a GOOD President of the people and for the people. Our nation is deeply split from the past 8 years and is in dire need of a good ADMINISTRATION not just a President. No President can run an entire nation, it requires QUALIFIED cabinet members to head departments, create and implement policy and administrate the government competently. I am hopeful that Obama can accomplish this daunting task and hope Americans will rally around to assist at every turn. This time before the election should begin our national reconciliation to forge ahead to preserve our nation. November 4, is simply the beginning of the beginning since the Bush administration still has till January to finish destroying the world. We must all save our money and resources till the danger is past and pray our new President is wise, competent and loyal to our nation.

What A Contrast!!!

Today I awoke to the sounds of politics on my television, McCain, Palin, and Cindy on various channels spouting rhetoric and calling names and railing against Washington corruption and unfairness of the LIBERAL media. I CHANGED channels to CNN and watched an Obama campaign event a forum of government and business leaders speaking about SOLUTIONS AND PROGRESS demonstrating leadership in its finest form. I fail to understand why all America doesn't embrace leadership searching for solutions instead of beating the dead horse of politics. It is a contrast in approaches to the same goal yet one is making progress while the other is merely backsliding. I am pleased with my choice and if desiring choices make me a LIBERAL then sign me up!!!

Obama's Grandmother

Tis well that Obama visits his grandmother in these waning days of the campaign as campaigns will come and go but family is forever. The McPain folks haven't had much if any substance to their credit so these last two weeks will be spent watching how badly they can make asses out of themselves. Unfortunately, during this campaign from hell we haven't addressed most issues such as illegal immigration, tax reform, social security reform, election reform, etc.. because of the response to our collapsing economy and growing negativity from McPain people without a plan. This time now belongs to America to finalize our decisions upon the direction we wish to steer our nation. I do hope Obama's grandmother finds comfort with his visit and pray the lord's blessing upon her. May the lord be with the Obama and Biden families at this time of personal grief and challenges.

Colin Powell

Colin Powell's endorsement is no surprise as he is an honorable man betrayed by his President by endorsing a war under false rationale. I am a firm believer that Powell was fed false information by various sources and required to take the actions to support his President. Time will tell how history notes the last 8 years but Gen. Powell will forever possess the integrity of an officer and a gentleman. His endorsement of Obama impresses me even more than before because it is an act of a true American, setting aside politics, personal gain and alliances to do as he feels best for America. This is the mark of a great leader!!!
