The Jena 6 are six Black high school students in Jena, Louisiana who are victims of the racist criminal "justice" system in the United States. Last September in Louisiana a Black student at Jena High School asked the school's principal if he could sit under the school courtyard tree, a place traditional claimed by the white sudents. The principal answered, "Sit wherever you want." The next morning, three nooses were hanging from the tree. "It meant the KKK, it meant n*****s we're going to kill you, we're gonna hang you 'til you die," stated one of Jena's Black community leaders. The three white students responsible for this racist act of terror were slapped on the wrist -- they were suspended from school for three days. Three months after the incident, six Black students fought with a white student, Justin Baker, who had been taunting Black students. Barker was a friend of the students who hung the nooses. He was briefly treated at a local hospital and released. Later, Barker was charged with bringing a rifle to school. The six Black students -- the Jena 6 -- were charged outrageously with conspiracy to commit second degree murder and attempted second degree murder. They could face up to 100 years in jail if convicted.

AN Obama PLANT???? No just a citizen here

I asked the Republicans a question in the cnn you tube debate. I am a lifelong Democrat and an Obama supporter. Does that disqualify me from asking a question to anyone running for president? Apparently some Republican pundits think I was a plant by the Obama campaign. I am not a plant and I never claimed to be a log cabin republican, I simply posed an interesting question. What's disturbing is the idea that I and others are being criticized for simply posing questions to the other party's candidates. That's a shame. OBAMA in 08!!!

Turning the page

Obama did what he needed to do tonight. He showed why he is the true agent of change in this election and he didn't "attack" Hillary the way the media wanted him to....he did it his way. By sticking to the differences on issues, philosophy, truthfulness, and leadership, he continued the politics of hope. Clinton's refusal to allow the national archives to release info during the Clinton years is disturbing at best. This needs to be brought out more by the other candidates. It is the first I heard of this and it doesn't sit well with me. I am sure many other voters would agree that we don't need another government shrouded in secrecy.

barack is needed

Obama should visit the town of Jenna to address the racism that is alive and well in this community. He could help bring national attention to this injustice.
