We have arrived at the very moment we all worked so hard for. Barack Obama is now the President Elect of the United States. Lets all pledge to support him during his years as our President. We need to stand behind him even when we disagree with some of his decisions, we need to stand behind him when things look bad, when he is receiving critcism and praise. I am not saying that we do not make our disagreements known. What I am saying is that once a decision is made and done lets not forget it is us who decided to trust him to do what he thinks is right for our country. I certainly am commiting to praying for him and for his family. That God would give him wisdom, strength, humility, and show him mercy when the weight of the world is on his shoulders.
This is an incredible time in our nations history, lets pledge to continue to be involved...
YES WE CAN!!!! YES WE CAN!!! YES WE CAN!!!
I am an Oregonian and yesterday my ballot arrived in the mail. I had been looking forward to this for the last couple of weeks knowing that soon I would be able to finally cast my vote in the general election for Barack!! I sat down last night and carefully filled out my ballot I checked it probably 4 times to make sure I had done everything correctly. Now I look forward to dropping it off tomorow!! I am trying not to get too excited and keep my optimisum guarded. The finish line is in sight. Lets not let up remind everyone you know to vote.
YES WE CAN AND YES WE WILL!!!!!!
Here is a link to a poll at PBS IT is about weather you think Palin is qualified to be vice president.
Link VOTE NOW PBS poll on Palin
So last night I was furious, in the middle of the night I was saddened and perplexed. This morning a little bit of both, but also so much more determined to focus on the issues and the message of change that so attracted me to Barack Obama in the first place.
Sarah Palin was just plain mean last night. She was patronizing and dismisive of many ideas and many people that I deem important and worthy of thought and respect. It is so incredilby sad to me that we as a nation think this is okay. What parent out there would be happy if there child were to try to solve a dispute or address an important issue in this way? I think the majortity of us would be saddened and have a long talk about the importance of seeing all sides and being respectful of others and letting them know it is okay to disagree on issues but it is not okay to be insulting of someones character. I certainly want my children to learn this and I think most people agree. I am all the more determined now to refocus on what is important in this election. I want change , I want it for my children, my nieces and nephews for everyone in this great country. The time is now to stand up and say enough. Enough of the negative politcs!! Enough of the disresectful behavior!! Lets get to work! Lets stay above the fray and not strike back in anger. Lets focus on the hope that is real and the people (us) who know we can make a difference and elect Barack Obama!!!
YES WE CAN!! YES WE WILL!! WE MUST!!
So does Rudy think that all of Baracks supporters are members of the left wing media or celebrities? I am an American, I am a 44 year old woman who voted Republican for much of my life. Not anymore. I am tired of the small mindedness and the balck and white thinking. Barack Obama is the man that our country needs right now.He is wise, he is caring, he desires to bring out the best in people. They are mocking Barack right now mocking his hard work in the communities of Chicago. ENOUGH ENOUGH ENOUGH!!!!!! It is time for change it is time to have people in the White House who are actually caring adults who know life is not full of easy answers!!
YES WE CAN!! YES WE CAN!! YES WE CAN!! and YES WE WILL!!!

What a wonderful evening last night. As I watched Obamas amazing speech by myself, I stood, I cried, I clapped and cried some more. History is being made before our eyes. I have never in my life been excited about a presidential election. I had never in my whole life donated to a campaign of any kind. Looking forward to the general and wondering what are some things that I can do to bring voters on board? Any way an exciting time. More states, more delegates and more popular votes!!!!
Obama wins the Final popular Vote Tally Obama: 17,535,335 Clinton: 17,493,658 Spread: Obama + 41,677 Link
YES WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found this on another blog and wanted to spread it around even more. Please consider signing this petitionand letting your voice be heard. There are many women who support Obama and not Hillary!!
2) The WomenCount PAC ( http://www.womencountpac.com/ ) was created by five of Hillary Clinton's friends, and claims to represent all women in America. I started an online petition to send to the DNC and the MSM for women who don't support "WomenCount," and who do endorse Barack Obama as our next President. Please sign the petition: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/WomenForObama/
Thanks for considering.
As the primary seaon winds down and Barack nomination seems to be inevitable my thoughts turn toward the general election. What kind of things can we all be doing to bring unity to our party? What are practical ways to reach out to supporters of Hillary? How can we impact states that will be key to the obtaining enough electoral votes to put Barack over the top?
I am excited and nervous. I have never been involved in any type of campaign let alone cared so deeply about the outcome of an election. The future of our nation is really at a crossroads right now. I want to make sure I can do my part to make sure we start heading in the right direction.
Once again our eyes are being drawn away from what is important right now. Hillary is trying to stay alive by any possible means even if it means threatening the unity of our party and the good of our nation. Lets trust Obama and his campaign staff and start to focus on the issues of the general. Obama will be the nominee. Lets not forget that there are also still 3 contests left and do what we can to help Obama get the most votes.
Nothing can stop the voices of millions of people crying out for change!! YES WE CAN!! We can bring change toour country. Lets stay focused and positive!! YES WE CAN!!!
... Senator Byrd's words, "Barack Obama is a noble-hearted patriot and humble Christian, and he has my full faith and support. Wow what an amazing statement by an amazing man. I am sure Barack is humbled by Senator 'Byrds support. What a great day for Barack. I am sure it means so much to him to have someone who is so respected on both sides of the aisle say that about him.
YES WE CAN!!
I don't know how many have heard what the Tennesee Republican Party is doing? They are playing clips of her saying "that this is the first time she has ever really been proud of her country". They are trying to demonize her! I think it is shameful.Link
If you would like to let the Tennesee Republican party know what you think, here is a link!! Tell the TNGOP how you feel about the horrendous attack on Michelle Obama. Link Let's all let them know their smear tactics will NOT work!
