Every time I hear that McCain commercial that talks about Obama's "association" with "terrorist" Bill Ayers and "blind ambition", it makes my skin crawl. This campaign has really plumb new lows that even a Rove campaign has not touched. It is disgusting and sad.
Not even the hockey crowd in Philadelphia booing Sarah Palin dropping the puck makes up for it.
...it's not a big deal, but it bugs me that every time I come in here, it looks like I've done nothing, when in fact I've knocked on literally hundreds of doors, and made more than a few calls. Oh well - I'll get my satisfaction out of doing even MORE unrecognized work!
Yesterday's little gathering at the Longwood office resulted in approx. 70-80 people going out in our neighborhood to canvas. I think the organizers lowered their standards at least in one instance - they made me "captain" for a bunch of people. I'm ready and willing, alright - but not sure about the "able" bit.
After some motivating speak and sending everyone off, I was paired up with Monte, and went to a neighborhood off E.E. Williamson. You can tell how we felt by the way we were walking those long winding streets. As hot as it was, we had a great time, getting into interesting conversations with a few voters. I kinda wished I would have the opportunity to go back to see some of these folks, but I don't think that would be possible. So as you can see, we're staying active, trying to balance live at home, at work, at church, and in our community. Let's keep this up, people!
The official numbers in Seminole are: 104K The Bad Guys vs. 84K of The Good Guys.
Sounds a bit lopsided?
Not so close?
Not so fast.
