Saturday evening, the Charles Town Races and Slots will sponsor the sweet sounds of the sensational doo-wop group “Pookie Hudson’s Spaniels”. The Spaniels sang “Goodnight Sweetheart, Goodnight”. They will perform two sets starting at 7pm Saturday evening, on the festival ground. In case of inclement weather, the group will perform inside the Betty Roper auditorium at Wright Denny Elementary School. The concerts are free and open to the public. The Jefferson County Black History Preservation Society will display their exhibits throughout the weekend on African American History in Jefferson County at Fisherman Hall, located at 340 South West Street in Charles Town from 2pm to 5pm.
