"I can't tell my husband, but I am 100% behind Obama," a voter from Nevada told me one night while phone banking. Our Ojai volunteer campaign office has placed more than 5,000 calls to Nevada and New Mexico and we are hearing similar stories from men, women, and children from these more conservative battleground states. Quite the opposite of the occasional news-line that "closet racism" may hurt Senator Obama's election bid, we are finding undecided voters to be overwhelming Obama supporters! Our office polls show Senator Obama ahead 3 to 1 amongst undecided voters in Nevada, even higher in New Mexico, and a 6 to 1 margin in our California calling. More and more, people are feeling the power that comes with making up your own mind for yourself and they are asking for yard signs, buttons, and tee shirts more than at any point in this campaign. The people who are not honest about their own beliefs and that harbor such feelings weren't going to vote Democrat anyway: they will not sway this election even a part of one point, so forget about 'em!
Let's stay positive, remain confident that we are on the brink of monumental progress in our great country, and push on through to November 4! Faith in our fellow citizens is a two way street: we get as we give. We know others will do the right thing as we ourselves are sure we will do the same for them! Keep it up and smile, smile, smile.

$1,000,000,000,000.00. One trillion dollars. 12 zeroes! That's only the start!
The "market" rewarded a few with billions and now those few seek nothing less than to socialize the entire system. Using our very hard earned tax money, of course. At the same time, our local school bus driver is doing double shifts because the school had to cut a bus and we may have to close a school. Class size is creeping up to 30 students!!! If you don't have a kid in school, let me tell you something you may already know...it is IMPOSSIBLE for one teacher to teach 30 kids. But when Wall Street is in trouble we have $700 Billion in a week?
LET WALL STREET HOLD A BAKE SALE AND RAISE THE MONEY TO FIX ITSELF!
True Patriots like Senator Obama are stepping up to protect the citizens of this country from the Bush Ad-men's Last Big Money Grab! Senator Obama has children in school. He knows as only a parent of a child in school can that our schools are in trouble. Patriots, true patriots should ask themselves and Bush and John McCain: If we have $700 Billion for Wall Street how come there's no money for schools? Senator McCain and George Bush came up with that $700 billion pretty fast when their buddies were in trouble.
We need Senator Obama to clean house in Washington! My advice: Make 'em an offer...Cut the money in half. Give the school systems in the U.S. $350 Billion to be used only for school improvement with tight regulation and you can use our hard earned tax dollars to bail out your buddies on Wall Street--with proper regulation.
Senator Obama promises to establish ONE regualtory body for banks, insurance companies, and the stock market, so regulations cannot be ignored, a they have under the Bush/McCain Ad-men. This body should have been put in place when the markets were established. But John McCain just shouts even louder the line he has been told to shout: 'DE-regulation!" The Bush/McCain Ad-men sat on their thumbs and let Rome burn because they knew without a proper regulatory body in place they couldn't be stopped.
The Bush/McCain Ad-men knew the market needed serious fixing. So they fixed it alright...They stuffed billions of dollars into the pockets of old cronies like Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack. John McCain promises more of the same!
Barack Obama realizes the system needs a 21st Century Solution, not the feudal response George II and John McCain ask of their subjects. Their mere tariff of a trillion pounds, I mean dollars. Hard to tell sometimes since Bush and McCain are already taxing taxes and then taxing them again. Then they claim that Democrats will tax people. Are you kidding me? The Bush/McCain Ad-men have created billionaires. These people now have the unique opportunity to step up to the plate and give something back to help out this great country. Oh, and it's less than what they should have paid to begin with. Thank you Senator Obama for having the guts to stand up for all of us!
We can't let the current crooks who set up the system try to fix it with our money!!! One day, one sunny day in the future, former U.S President Obama will meet for the first time former President George Washington...and General Washington will say one word: "Thanks."
John McCain was part of the Keating 5! Really bad guys. Google it if you don't know about it. These guys created our current problem and John McCain was a major player. This outpouring of generosity, almost a trillion worth, to the billionaire cronies of the Bush/McCain Ad-men is followed up by a procession of private jets to Dubai. It all seems like a surreal game show gone out of control. I remember the KTLA 4th of July Twilight Zone Marathons as a kid having fewer ironic twists of horror and deception.
Barack Obama is our hope. The hope of the people of the United States of America who care. We care what other countries think of us. We care if we're hurting other people. We want to treat others as we want to be treated. We are electing Barack Obama as President because he exemplifies the ideals of our forefathers.
Message to the Republicans: Corporations and PAC's do not elect you. The individuals still elect you. This is the U.S.A! Senator Obama recognizes PAC's are a large part of the problem and has refused money from any PAC's. When elected Barack Obama will work to reform the lack of regulation that now cripples our system and has lead to the current economic melt-down.
I wish it weren't so, but there's more coming too. We all know what it's like to be broke. At the end you start borrowing. National debt is at $ 10.3 trillion...so, $11.5 trillion may not seem so bad, but it is. And that's just the start.
Senator Obama is the only candidate who realizes we need one regulatory body with power to control those who would seek gain at any cost: the Gordon Gecko wannabe's of Wall Street. Before they get an honor system, they have to show us they are capable of being HONORABLE.
Barack Obama realizes the difference of a trillion dollars...$1,000,000,000,000...is a big difference...and that's just for a short term fix for a much larger problem...John McCain is part of the problem and Barack Obama is the solution.
Remember when out there campaigning to really know the facts and the policy issues and always smile and stay positive.

BUSH FOROBAMA!
You know something is wrong with our system when hospitals are privatized, being run for profit without care or concern for advancing health, and the banking, insurance, and securities industries are being socialized by the Bush Administration and law makers in Washington. How could this happen in America?
Most of us have been broke before. You know: rent due and no money at all. Along the way to that point there is a pattern. First you sell everything you own that you don't want anymore. Next, you sell things you wanted to keep. So on and so on, until you get to the last stage: you start asking for loans. Then you sink yourself in further, making it tougher to get out. Well, that's where the banks, AIG, and seemingly all the securities firms find themselves on this fair day. They took high risk with our money at the expense of society at large. The took advantage of little or no regulatory enforcement, even as they broke laws. And ethics? Ethics wasn't even a concern for those acting as capitalist in the "free market." But like Dylan sang, "Now you don't talk so loud. Now you don't seem so proud. About havin' to be scrounging your next meal."
But can we let AIG go under? They invest the retirement of every school teacher in California. Who let this happen? Look no farther than the White house, gambling the futures of America's teachers with thumb prints firmly embedded--one on the left and one on the right, while Rome burns.
The ironic twist in this tale, a former Miss Congeniality sitting on a throne made of oil, rises to fame selling airplanes on e-bay and singing: It's so fun to spend other people's money! However, she does have a new energy plan: it involves using books as a fuel source. Just toss 'em in the fire and save America :(
It is more important NOW than ever that we get out and do whatever we need to do to get Senator Obama in the White House. We are at a breaking point in this country and $50 billion + in handouts to the richest people in America is not the answer!
