I promise those to phrases will not become over used, but this time they are needed. i know i am a bit behind with this post but as i said i am very busy. Regardless, how amazing was Obama's speech in phily. WOW that was great. If you haven seen this speech i STRONGLY advise you to. you can see it right here  (if this link doesn't  work just go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrp-v2tHaDo ) as everyone is saying this is the speech of his career. it is great. he did perfectly in getting away from pastor wright without really saying it. and beside that he points out a major issue that (surprisingly) has been shunned this race: RACE! alot of people think that just because we dont have slavery and because blacks can vote, we dont have any issues with race! that is wrong and it needs to be fixed. i am nowhere near as good a speaker as obama, so to really hear about it watch the speech. but i just wanted to show how great this speech is. if you really can watch this speech and not want obama in office you are way to stubborn and i'm not even going to try to sway you. 

now on to another related issue: immigration. before i really get into this i have another plug. there is a podcast that i listen to that is completely unrelated to politics, but two of the hosts have started a blog called political bitches and it is amazing. you can see it here (again if link doesn't work go to politicalbitches.wordpress.com). they just put up a post on immigration and it is very enlightening. this is where i a getting alot of my material. i just want to get my sources right. now immigration. there are to very different views on immigration. one is "we gotta kill all those mexican bastards, stay outta out country you job-stealing beaners." the other is let them come in they help employers and they take the jobs we dont want. i do not agree with either of these. i do believe that people shouldn't just be able to waltz in and get cheap jobs, not pay taxes, and get benifits of welfare and stuff. but i dont beleive we need to build a wall and not let anyone in. i mean really what happened to the dream land. america where you can come start a new life and no one will judge you on RACE, RELIGION, HERITAGE, OR, SOCIAL STATUS!!!!! people who have trouble finding jobs in their homeland should be able to come to america and have a new shot at life. i do think that they should have to be a legal citizen, pay taxes and have the responcibilities of a citizen but get the rights too. and the way this happens is we need to make the process to become a citizen alot easier. the reason people don't sneak over without becoming a citizen is it's too damn hard. we make it easier then people can become citizens and live here and have a shot at life even though they were born poor and in a different country. then if they are a legal citizen and they are willing to work for less then a born american they get the job fair and square. there you go. my views. think about it.

Now i no this is a touchy subject for some but it is a subject that i feel very strongly on. Why are gays always treated as second class citizens. now i no some of you may go; "woah are you like gay then i dont want to hang out with guy who wants to screw a guy!" no im NOT gay. i would never have a sexual relationship with a guy. but i do think that if a gay couple wants to get married or even adopt and raise kids THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO WITH NO PROBLEMS. so now ill go back to my question why do people hate gays. well i no there are reasons but NONE of them are logical. first reason is that basicaly the bible says no. but the thing that is missed is that although out country may be majority christian, WE ARE NOT A CHRISTIAN NATION.  what happen to separation of church and state. i mean its great for christians to not be gay. its even fine for christians to not want to live near or be friends with gays. but that doesnt mean we have to pass a law outlawing gays!!! if someone of a different religion wants to be gay how does that effect christians. christians dont be gay others feel free. thats alll there is to it. second reason to shun gays. "they're weird, theyre not normal, i dont want my kids seeing that type of thing." if you say this you are a NARROW MINDED BIGOTED IDIOT WHO IS AFRAID OF PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE THEY'RE DIFFERENT. i have one question for you if you say this. how are they any different than an interracial couple. how is a white man who like a black woman different than a white man that like a white man. if you can marry someone of a different color, of religion, or heritage, or homeland, how is that any different than someone of a different sex. it is not a choice if you have ever truly loved someone you no there is nothing you can do about it. it is who you love. you cant just say "well i dont love them, now i want to love this person." you cant controll it. when a a straight man sees a the woman he loves he no he loves her, thats just how it is. no matter what religion, race, or anything. its no different for a gay man. he sees a person he loves and they happen to be of the opposite sex. ther is nothing different about gays to quote a friend, "its just the type of genitals they like." nothing more. see there is no reason to dislike gays. if you are a christian and think god will kick your ass if you screw a person of the same sex then just dont, and let others do what they want. and if you think gays are wierd or something, there is no reason to think that. gays should have just as good rights as anyone in this country. as thomas jefferson said, "all men are created equal," there is no reason to outlaw homosexuallity.

Hello everyone!

This is my new official blog. for a while i have been trying to get a blog going but no such luck, but i think this one will be alot better. i am (like everyone here) a democratic liberal for obama. i am just putting out this blog so i can rant and share my thoughts about the race and anything else in politics. i hope i can get a few good readers so i no someone is listening. i will almost always have a post every 2 days sometime less but almost never more, so you won't get bored at least. please comment with any tips or things you want to add. also if you maybe would be interested in trying to get a political podcast started with me leave a post because i have been thinking about trying to get a podcast started sometime soon but id like a co-host.
