As you read many of my blog posts, one will find that I'm an avid Obama supporter mainly because of his positive and inspirational messages. However, what I'm so in awe of, in 2008, is our divide, be it political, emotional, spiritual, etc. Have you ever wondered what our world would be like if we spent so much of our negative energy lifting each other instead of tearing each other down? Just wondering! When I think of our campaign, I just say "what a role model." I'm so glad to be a part of this postive moment in 2008. As more folks see us, they'll become a part. Just watch and see. "We are the ones we've been waiting for."
Do we want our whisper to be heard?
1. Refocus on the positive (It's the "Secret")
2. Refocus on the Obama campaign (HOPE and CHANGE)
3. Refocus on positive messages for Obama to read (Really rehashing media stuff on the blog--trust, me--he's seen heard and read it all--all day long)
4. Refocus on donating, emailing, phonebanking, texting
5. Refocus on the positive (We are gonna need all the voters that might be deflated by our comments and links, the other campaigns are watching us and yes we all have strong opinions, but...)
6. And "We the ones that we have been waiting for."
7. Again! Refocus is a must for Barack and US!
I know many of us post to this blog for a variety of sundry reasons. I don't have any links to copy and paste, no hateration for others, no opining on the various media messages, etc. I'm just seeking like minded bloggers to plead for a message of postive "change and hope." I'm seeking a blog for supporters who want to donate, phonebank, text, email messages of hope and change to not only the upcoming states, but also to the states that we've won. We are in a crucial time... we have several states to compete in. Our message should be an encouragement to Barack, not more of the same that he and his campaign can read or watch in the media each day. He has promised a campaign of "new." Let's reset the tone. I truly believe that he will be encouraged to get back to "change and hope." However, again we can set the tone. Let's focus again and our postive energy will filter up to the campaign. Our main goal should be to support our candidate, let's bond together and phonebank, donate, text, email and display a tone of positivity because we will need every vote that we are posting and linking against each day of the coming months until January 2009. Rethink, rephonebank, redonate, retext, reemail---because "yes we can."
Dear Senator,
I'm here in little old South Carolina and I have whole heartedly supported you since 2004 when you delivered your speech for John Kerry at the national convention in 2004. I told either my daughter or girlfriend the night that you were speaking, that you would run for president; however, I didn't know that it would be sooner rather than later. (And I'm so glad!) Now to the present--Because of your previous message of "Change and Hope," so many new voters have been bought into your process and campaign. We are on board with a campaign of "Change and Hope." We will support you with a message of "Change and Hope." However, I am working overtime to keep everyone in line and bring others on board when I'm seeing a message of the "same o--same o" politics. Now I've have been following politics with a passion since 1992 even though my first vote was 1972 for President Carter. I've listened to the media "begging you to go negative on the others," you didn't and you won so many states by staying positivie. I listened to the media question your message of change, of hope, of speeches and said that you had to respond. And I watched you stay focused and pick up voters, pledged delegates, and super delegates and created a movement. Now you are involved with Clinton politics. My request to you is to get back to your original message of "Change and Hope." Let the Clintons and the media play politics (and please tell the media and the Clintons they that can play politics and dig dig dig if they want to); but we are seeking a change in 2008, not the "same o same o." Even though you have won lots of states, the Mrytle Beach SC debate didn't feel like a change. We are seeking "CHANGE." Senator Obama, we believe in you! Please get back on message--Change and Hope. I know that you will not allow anyone to control your message. "We want Change!"
Sometimes it's very hard to stay positive amidst the infiltrators on this blog, the news media, etc. However, today a new energy began to spark. I have a co-worker who always remind me that "nobody said it would be easy." So between Tuesday night and today, I listened to Barack's Tuesday night speech, I looked at some pictures on this site of he and Michelle and tried to find his 2004 convention speech on one of my VCR tapes. (Yep I'm probably one of millions who still record via VCR tapes not TiVO.) Let's get ready for the fourth quarter. I know Barack will prevail. YES WE CAN!
