I don't condone or believe in a political system that advocates a ruling class of wealthy, privileged individuals who sustain their egos and fortunes at the expense of a large poor working class whom they oppress and manipulate to maintain their wealth and sense of superiority. It is repulsive to me that a few believe they are more privileged and entitled than the many.
Jesus: "Are there not twelve hours in the day? A man can walk in the daytime without stumbling becauae he has the light of this world to see by; but it he walks at night he stumbles, because there is no light to guide him."
I interpret this accordingly: Am I not here now among you to fill your immediate needs? At this time you can make your decisions correctly because you have me with you, but if you do not have me, you are making mistakes because I am not here to guide you.
Therefore, it would seem to me, to be successful in the battles of life, we need to keep "The Light of the world" with us! I keep the first paragraph posted on my computer. Sometimes I pay attention to it; other times I forget it's there, and no doubt, am not my best self at those times. A choice: We can walk in darkness, or we can walk in the Light. It is up to the individual. Nora
Chuang Tsu said, "At present you use all your vital energy on external things and wear out your spirit. You lean against a tree and mutter, collapse upon a rotten stump and fall asleep. Your body is a gift from heaven, yet you use it to babble and jabber about 'hardness' and 'whiteness'!"
My intolerance of intolerance has made me intolerant.
"You must break your attachment to the need to be an appendage." TM
Here is what I've learned about people:
1. All of us create our own reality.
2. Most of us complacently allow others to do our thinking. It's cerebral laziness.
3. For people not overly concerned with the pursuit of truth, their ability to rearrange the "facts" to accomodate their comfort zone can be outrageous. If that comfort zone is dependent on money, the presentation of any other perspective is a lost cause.
4. If one remains convinced of a view of reality in spite of pictographic evidence to the contrary, one prefers to remain blind. The only one who can pry his eyes open is himself.
