Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase. -Martin Luther King Jr.
I reflected on this quote for a minute. I was very hesitant before I decided to become political. I felt I was not experienced or educated enough when it comes to politics. President Obama was the first person I ever voted for--I'm 32.
Before Mr. Obama became president, I honestly did not have faith in our GOVERNMENT for obvious reasons (The last 8 years). I took the FIRST step of faith, became a registered voter, and decided to make change in my own life. Maybe it was Mr. Obama's powerful & very moving speeches or the drive of other volunteers during his campaign that sparked the flame that is burning within me to serve as a volunteer for HEALTH CARE reform.
I'm learning! I anticipate to learn more for I believe all Americans should support our LEADER and our great NATION. My prayers goes out to President Obama, his family and staff.
God bless us ALL.
Thanks for reading. ^_^.
I'm learning. After Camp Obama, I became full of hope. The stories of the people warmed my heart. I am fairly young and as my last blog stated, "Not so political". But for the problems ahead, it is compassion that is needed. I'm pleased with the outcome so far and appreciate the knowledge of the OFA workers. We all are passionate about serving. I never thought a girl like me would have an interest in POLITICS...
Summer? Becoming political? YES. ^_^
I'm motivated at this time to do my part but unsure of where to start. Even though I am not the political type, I believe in equal rights & fair treatment for all mankind. My main concerns at this time are health care & the economy.
I will educate myself daily on these issues and search for others in my community, so I can start my process to see health care reformed. Time to act now inspite of life's problems. I will put more of an effort in seeking facts & use some of the helpful ideas I heard via The President's national call this morning. I'm still shocked & amazed that our government are actually paying attention to the cries of the people. I feel very honored, blessed, and relieved for I know that our President cares for us all.
I am ready & willing. I support President Obama. God bless AMERICA.
