Cindy has just about finished up the hand quilting on the Quilt. It is an amazing quilt made by Obama supporters across the USA. Two other quilters in my town helped me to make 5 blocks for this beautiful quilt. What a joy it is to watch the fund raising page go up in donations and watch the creative video by Desert Dove Dan. Isaac Alexander was born July 18th. What an exciting time! We now have two grandson's and a granddaughter. They are all so very special and of course cute and smart.
This is what this election is all about, a better world for everyone especially the future of our children and grandchildren.
We need Barack Obama in the White House. Let's all join together and help him win! There are many ways everyone can help. Many of us have fundraisings pages, find one and donate. The Quilt Project is a great place to donate. Thats a two for one page. Donate and have a chance to win a beautiful historical quilt.
I have really enjoyed working with the group making the Obama Quilt. I am so glad I clicked on Cindy's post to join this group and make a quilt block. Two of my Obama friends joined me and we picked out material and worked together to make 5 blocks to send out to AZ. I have enjoyed watching the progress of seeing this special Quilt being put together through pictures and e-mails. I hope the fund raising is the success that we all hope it will be.

It's about time I was adding to my Blog by updating it. Since I last wrote I have sent more postcards to the WFO group and actually got my nerve up to make some phone calls. During the GE I am hoping that there will be a phone bank in macomb, or close by so I could do some calling with others. I think that would be fun. I have finally connected with some local Obama friends so we can get together and talk about our next President. Several of them as well as blog friends have donated to my online FR so it is going up. My collection of Obama pins etc. is growing also. These will be historic keepsakes for my grandchildren.
It is so important that we elect Barack Obama as our next President. The time for Change is now. It can not wait!
I so much appreciate all of the posts and links on this blog. They have helped me to learn so much about this campaign and keeps me up to date with articles and running commentaries from the tv programs :)
Ok here goes... this is my first post and I hope it goes where I think it is going to show up :) I am so very excited about Obamo being our President. I have never before thought much about an election but this time I am reading and trying to learn as much as I can. That includes writing on this Blog.
Today I sent off postcards to the WFO postcard campaign. Now to write more....
