I propose to make our own list. We may not be National Woman Leaders, but, we are Woman Voters!

I am NOT “pro-abortion”. The family and friends who know and love me will tell you that I, of all people, am not “pro-abortion”.
But, I will fight to the DEATH to allow the other women of this country to have a choice in the matter. I love this country too much to hand it over to a bunch of right-wing fundamentalists who have the Taliban mentality of imposing their religiosity on the citizens of the United States of America. Too many women died until this choice was eventually given to them. Let’s educate people that there are other ways besides abortion, but don’t take the choice away from them. Raped by an AIDS infected former mental institution schizophrenic? Too bad. Incest? I don’t even want to go there. But, reality tells us that it happens. I’m not saying that immorality is right. It’s not. Care to tell me your opinion on birth control? Some would say, oh no, that’s a different subject. Is it?
And another thing. SCIENTISTS have proven that global warming is upon us. Climate change, I’d say is pretty evident today. Just look at the recent storms, flooding, fires, ice shelves melting, coral reefs evaporating, etc. etc. etc. Within 40 years, the climate change will have become so drastic, that what we see today is nothing compared to what we’ll be seeing if we sit back and say the SCIENTISTS are wrong.
Now, imagine this if you will. Say today, you are in your 20’s, 30’s or 40’s. It is quite possible, according to proven scientific measures (as if you needed them) that you will be alive within the next 40 years. You may be in your 60’s, 70’s and 80’s by then. Now, imagine that you have children (if you don’t already). By then, it’s quite possible that your children have children, your grandchildren. Now, imagine we ignored the scientific evidence of today and a storm of great proportion comes upon the area in which you, your children, and your grandchildren live. It could be a storm much worse than Katrina or a blizzard perhaps. By this time, you are a senior citizen. Imagine your children live in the middle of town. Your grandchildren live on the complete other side of town, you, live on the furthest outskirts of that town. Now, imagine your children aren’t as well off as you’d expect them to be within the next 40 years because the economy took a way downward spin somewhere along the line. (Sound familiar?) So, your children have the choice. Do they go and gather up their children to get them out of the storm’s path? Or, do they go and save their parents (you)? I don’t know about you, but I’d rather not imagine putting my children in that position. In other words, why not be safe rather than sorry and listen to the scientist today.
Hmm. Let’s see, what else? Health care? What’s wrong with health care? All I have to say about that is this. “Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers…………” You see, after all. I HAVE RELIGION TOO.

I'm sitting here remembering. Way back in the latter part of 2006. The video emails from Barack Obama explaining how he had started the exploratory commission for the presidential campaign.
I absolutely LOVE this campaign! It is a work of art. It will be studied for years to come in both academia and the arts and entertainment industries. Not to mention, years later when all the MSM (as they exist today) will finally get it right. And you know what? The beauty of it is - we're part of it!
