For all of the voters in Precinct 59 of Brazoria County. Our polling place has changed to Nolan Ryan Junior High School. The brand new school off of 2234 (near CVS) and Kirby.
We had been voting at Mary Marek Elementary up until this election and I thought it was important for everyone to know about the locaton change.
I am the Presiding Election Judge for Precinct 59. Election Day will be very busy and I encourage everyone to vote early. Our closest early voting location is the Westside Event Center and early voting begns on October 20th.

We had almost 900 people at our precinct convention...some had estimated that there were 1500 at the beginning of the caucus where the gymnasium was beyond capacity and the overflow numbered some 300 waiting outside, unfortunately many had to leave because it took a while to sign everyone in and the hour grew late for those with children or not planning for a four hour event...
God Bless everyone of you who stayed and secured a huge caucus victory for Barack in Precinct 59 of Brazoria County.

It was a type of euphoria to see so many beautiful people supporting Senator Obama, it was an example of exactly what this country was meant to be...united without regard to race, gender, age, religion or any other demographic they attempt to split between the candidates. We had a splendid array of our entire diverse community and I felt blessed to be a part of such a transformation.
Be proud of your efforts on March 4th, be proud of the candidate you have chosen to unite and change this country!
There is more work to do, Senator Obama needs us to continue this journey with him...remain loyal, remain committed, believe that there is a better tomorrow for us all.
We can do it!
I feel blessed to be surrounded by the neighbors and friends that joined us last night to caucus and STAND FOR CHANGE!

We have alot of work to do before March 4th!
I attended my first delegate training session tonight and the meeting was standing room only. I live in an area that is firmly Republican but the Democratic Party representatives are predicting a strong showing by Democrats this year. I live in Senate District 11 which has parts of Harris County, parts of Galveston county and parts of Brazoria county. For those interested in delegate training, I encourage you to go and listen... the process is not for the faint hearted but there is alot of excitement about attending the Democratic National Convention in Denver, CO this year...it looks to be quite the historical event!!!! There are several more trainings before the March 4th primary.
Get involved...do more than ever before...there are just numerous opportunities to contribute without giving money...talk to other people tell them that there is still time to register to vote in the primary....take them to the polls...share information with them so they will own their decision. All levels of the party not just the Presidential candidates need your help...so be sure that while you are supporting Obama that you encourage Democrats to get out and vote and get Independents or Republicans to vote Democrat....we need high voter turn outs to succeed.
