Florida ads?

Kathleen in IA ~~ being the change she wants to see

I am a true blue Obama supporter - Iowa caucus goer here! And want to vote for him this November. However, from several different reliable sources today I read that Obama has had TV ads airing nationwide (i.e., also in Florida) for the past couple of weeks. Can anyone explain to me how this is not in violation of the DNC rules that none of the candidates can campaign in Florida? Obama's sources claim they asked CNN and MSNBC to not run the ads in FL and MI, but the cable companies said that would be "impossible". I don't know much about cable networks and national broadcasting, but it seems like a stretch to say it's "impossible" not to run the ads in a particular state. I want a good response when this comes up - and I'm sure it will - especially since Obama's supporters have been pointing fingers at Clinton's camp for trying to get all the FL attention they can, seemingly against DNC rules.
