At this 11th Hour I have not ceased my attempts to enlighten my family. I was raised in not only a Republican Household, my father is an executive engineer designing radar for military battle ships. Our bread and butter depended on war. However, my family is not only extremely supportive of me, but proud of what I stand for as I am a direct reflection of everything they have instilled in me over the years. I am the melting pot of their values, morals, beliefs, ambition, devotion, and determination. I am the compound of all of their nuturing and every opportunity they have afforded me. And that, is pretty amazing!
Today, I am urging my parents and all those like mine to practice what you preach. You raised us well. You provided for us unwaveringly. You made sure we were well fed, well balanced, well educated and well informed. You taught us how to be strong, stand up for what is right, not to bully, to make good choices and not to follow the crowd. None of us ever jumped off of the Brooklyn Bridge just because our friends did, thanks to you. You taught us to look both ways before crossing the street or making a decision. You taught us to weigh out the pros and cons and to be careful for what we wished for. You told us not to be afraid of trying something new You gave us an A for our efforts. You placed our unrecognizable pictures on the refrigerator. You praised us when we stood up for what was right. We got “Good Citizens Awards” and stars for acts of kindness. Your expectations always kept us trying and your support kept us confident. You encouraged us when we were on the right path and drove us off the wrong one. Looking back, I know you’re proud. So here we are today. We are all grown up, some with children of our own about to make one of the biggest decisions in our lives. DON’T LOSE FAITH IN US NOW. Do not lose faith in the job you’ve done. We, your children, will decide this election next Tuesday and stand together, STRONG. We have done just like you taught us. We are well informed and looked both ways. We weighed the pros and cons. We are not going to be intimidated by the bully. We are not going to fear change. We are standing up for what is right for Ourselves, Our Families, Our Neighbors, Our County, Our World, and Our Earth. So, trust in us, trust in you, and trust in the outstanding job you have performed. Trust in your success as a parent and mine as your child. Trust in the CHANGE we need and vote with us for Barack Obama, so I can have faith in my country to continue to raise my family in the way that you have raised me. We thank you for all of your nourishment, but most of all, for teaching us how to fish. With all of the respect and sincerity we can muster, we thank you. Your Child.
