Staffers for Barack have said that as soon as he is sure that he has secured the nomination, he will begin his selection process for a VP runningmate. That could easly be tonight. Personally I am strongly opposed to the potential selection of Hillary Clinton for any position in the chain of presidential succession, but not a cabnet or other position. I have taken advantage of the contact form on this web page to share my thoughts and invite you to do the same. (See my comments below). Borrow it if you like, change it if you want, but please share your thoughts on out next VP through this excellent tool.

I found the url to use on on the http://my.barackobama.com page but is a little hard to find so I'm putting a link here to make it a little easier:

"There is no way I can imagine that our campaign will loose the fall election to John McCain. I am writing to ask that you select a Vice Presidential running mate that truly represents the change we all seek so desperately. In my mind, that cannot possibly include Mrs. Clinton. While I would have no issue with her in your Cabinet, placing her in the chain of presidential succession is not an acceptable to me; unless she is able to earn it from within the Senate. Please choose the best agent for change, not a legacy politician."
1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's continued to oppose key civil rights laws.1
2. According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than Bush on Iraq, Russia and China. Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says McCain "will make Cheney look like Gandhi."2
4. McCain opposes a woman's right to choose. He said, "I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned."4
5. The Children's Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children. He voted against the children's health care bill last year, then defended Bush's veto of the bill.5
6. He's one of the richest people in a Senate filled with millionaires. The Associated Press reports he and his wife own at least eight homes! Yet McCain says the solution to the housing crisis is for people facing foreclosure to get a "second job" and skip their vacations.6 7. Many of McCain's fellow Republican senators say he's too reckless to be commander in chief. One Republican senator said: "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He's erratic. He's hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."7
8. McCain talks a lot about taking on special interests, but his campaign manager and top advisers are actually lobbyists. The government watchdog group Public Citizen says McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates.8
9. McCain has sought closer ties to the extreme religious right in recent years. The pastor McCain calls his "spiritual guide," Rod Parsley, believes America's founding mission is to destroy Islam, which he calls a "false religion." McCain sought the political support of right-wing preacher John Hagee, who believes Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for gay rights and called the Catholic Church "the Antichrist" and a "false cult."9
10. He positions himself as pro-environment, but he scored a 0—yes, zero—from the League of Conservation Voters last year.10

I don't know if you saw this, but 20 big Clinton donors tried to bully Nancy Pelosi for saying that superdelegates should let the voters decide who becomes the Democratic nominee. This is the worst kind of insider politics, and it has to stop. You and I and everyone who has ever given money or time to a progressive candidate make up the backbone of this party. We need to send a strong signal that we, the small donors, will back Democratic leaders with the courage to stand up for Democracy in the Democratic party. Please join me and sign this statement today. http://pol.moveon.org/democracy/?r_by=12391-3507810-rbuW5a&rc=comment_paste
End this Now . Ask Hillary to withdrawal from the race now! We demand the honesty, breath of fresh air and unitity that Barack Obama will bring the US. We have no need of her "legacy" type politics and contrary to what she would have us believe; She is not entitled to be our President! She has no chance of winning a majority of states, almost zero chance of winning the popular vote or overcoming the Obama campaign in elected delegates. She should end the infighting and damage she is doing to the Democratic party, cede her selfish and misguided continuation of her campaign and allow Sen. Obama to get on with his enlightened vision of the Executive branch.
Thanks and please share!
