For the People! By the People! We had a great event here on Sunday at my house. With eight people in attendance we were comfortable in the living room and not crowded. My daughter Alexa and her friend Taylor made chocolate chip and snickerdoodle cookies for us and we sat around the Christmas tree and discussed our issues and ways to help our communities. We talked about a lot of things here at the event with all of our issues seeming to be wrapped up mostly around the economy and the idea that if we fix the economy then we can get the rest of the problems fixed. Healthcare, foreign policy, the environment and ethics in politics seemed to be major themes as well. We discussed doing a few different community service events such as a food drive or an inauguration ball with profits to go to the people in our community who need the help the most. Read More »
