GLOBAL CLERGY ABUSE CRISIS (GCAC)

A call for supporting research, documentation, anecdotal, statistical or other evidence; contributing and collaborative authors.

[INITIAL DRAFT STAGE]

The notion is simple. We as human beings are able under a wide range of circumstances to compartmentalise aspects of our current or past experiences. This compartmentalisation process is carried out at any time the sufferer encounters a need or has become so conditioned that the syndrome is automated (ref: Pavlov) as they are simply at a point in an endless loop or cycle of the syndrome.

When a child is raised in an environment such as (USA, ref: Clergy abuse disclosures, legal precedents, depositions, findings & deterrents, Native American Indian populations experiencing large scale fraud and deception through to murder and theft of lands. Ireland. ref: Clergy abuse widespread through the population. Italy ref: Clergy abuse potential in the vast majority of the population. Canada ref: Genocide. School systems. Alaska ref: Innuit and Native American Indian populations.Breakdown of social order and structures creating widespread social disorder, drug and alcohol problems, breakdown of family and traditional support structures. Common to almost all Indigenous populations affected.) there is an innate requirement to survive.

Children who enter such schools or systems are most likely to come from a religious home where the process would have already been well set in place (the child is entirely compliant and will often have developed the ability to compartmentalise as their environment dictates [reason why a number of individuals in a class where a number of children have been identified as victims of a wide range of abuses - this segment often has no recall of these events or no recall of others experiencing abuse. On the contrary many see this period of their lives as 'blissful' and wonderful and they extol the virtues of those found to have committed abuses. This segment holds the greatest number of sufferers of the RC Syndrome.). This briefly describes the environment and initial development of what we encounter in a full blown stage of the syndrome where we find compartmentalisation to an extent beyond the bounds of rational thought processes which at times can place the individual in a mental situation where they are unable to process their own memories and recollections correctly.

Well documented examples of this are abundant and can be readily found in the depositions of bishops, priests, nuns, rabbis, Imams as well as in educationalists, administrators and office holders both within and without the organisational or management structure of institutions which has been comprehensively affected by the syndrome.

An understanding of the above and a review of the spread and the extent of the influence throughout society that this syndrome can reach immediately begins to answer and resolve an immense proportion of the difficulties reporting abuse victims encounter in their interactions with survivor groups, authorities, health and other support mechanisms.

The results and outcomes can be seen in all areas of life. ....

Statistics
When attempting to measure the degree of the syndrome we encounter a well developed set of regulations and systems which simply do not permit us to see the real figures. While we are entirely reliant on the Catholic church (a body identified as being in a full blown, cyclic state of RC syndrome) for figures as the gathering and processing of this type of data has been stifled and obfuscated throughout legal and governmental structures over many generations and subsequently little is really know of the relationship to crime of the various sectors classified under a heading such as that found in a census form under the title "Religion".

Profiling and identifying potential criminal activity in a RC syndrome sufferer
Profiling of community, policing, military, management and political candidates cannot be undertaken by the general population due to the lack of factual data and the inclusion into te equation of the educational experience of those experiencing the syndrome. Other aspect requiring inclusion are found when a child have without knowledge or consent been introduced into such an environment by parents who are usually at a mature stage of the syndrome in that they have achieved full cycle status.

The cycle is clearly described in the following text. The steps are broadly defined as:

Re-shock and re-compartmentalisation when situation is re-encountered due to the syndromes effect which caused the sufferer to conclude that the problem had been solved - return to step one for repeat of the cycle.

When applied in the general population in daily experiences this process answers the questions as to why victims self describe as being 'the crack in society which we repeatedly fall through' as well as the much lamented 'Why must we be filtered through every religious mind in the process and only after each has given their full approval will our case or documentation move further up the line only to encounter the same process once again at the next step on its fruitless and futile journey towards inevitable failure.'. Victims consistently report this encounter throughout the full extent of their healing journey and identify this as the main stumbling block in the progress of their claims, encounters with authorities, health and community providers through to victim and survivor networks (although they are quick to point out that there are those among this segment who have countered many of these issues through the benefit of their level of experience).

Areas victims highlight where they are most likely to encounter the syndrome is in policing and health areas (unfortunately these are the major areas governments provide support for victims through). Some available figures show that these areas have a recidivism rate as high as 60% in policing with an almost 95% in specialist areas of health. Psychiatry practitioners are identified by victims as having a figure above the 95% generally ascribed to health professionals. Better research in this area is urgently needed to identify the true extent of the problem identified here. Victims indicate that the number encountered in the political arena is less than the 95% although it is strongly confined to camps, factions or individuals within in party and is most often found in women; particularly those who have been marginalised, silenced or bullied.

Reported experiences strongly indicate that when a victim encounters multiple sufferers of the syndrome in one or more of the above then a 98-99% failure rate is expected. This is when syndrome becomes culture.

One of the most difficult to overcome aspects is the difficulty survivors encounter when describing their abuse as their basic instinctive response is to kill their adversary or to see them suffer an equivalent degree of harm and pain as that experienced by the victim of a sufferer of the Syndrome. Maintaining a socially acceptable behavior is extremely difficult as basic primitive instinctive notions of justice (ref: research Chimpanzee and other primates re justice and reward) are breached. The victim has little recourse but to express their anger and frustration at not being able to get at their attacker or abuser to mete out their instinctive response. This hurdle can be overcome via a variety of means including suitable psychology, (possibly brain plasticity as a result of recent research in psychiatry), low dosage medications in combination with psychology when required. Medications should be aimed at stabilising adrenalin (ref: primitive instinctive notions of justice) runaway when victims encounter self triggering as well as external triggering events. Often an understanding of these circumstance and how they affect each individual personally is sufficient for them to understand their perceived need to escalate when they perceive that someone or something is standing between them and those they identify as the perpetrator of their experience or those who impede their progress to overcome the results of the lifelong deceptions they have overcome previously and have an expectation that they are encountering or about to encounter obfuscation, delaying tactics, compartmentalisation by affected individuals of RC Syndrome.

Those well advanced through their journey or process describe the need to re-introduce basic parental instincts which have been repressed through the experience of both victim and sufferer of RCS as well as what we currently refer to as basic human rights. Once the focus of the victim is on their genetic heritage as found through their biological connection to their off-spring and they find others working towards a common goal of implementing a solution the need to take up an individual battle can be resolved and better directed towards the implementation of a social solution which is the next evolutionary step in the recovery process.

Laypeople invited to fast for priests Oct. 24

ATTLEBORO -- Anna Rae-Kelly saw the Catholic priesthood becoming embattled as a result of the clergy abuse scandal that rocked the Church beginning in 2001.

Suffering from a decline in prestige and reputation among the general public, the priesthood frequently became the butt of jokes and the center of calls for change in longstanding traditions and practices including celibacy and an unmarried clergy.

That is why Rae-Kelly felt a call to action.

“If they are under attack, we don’t receive the Eucharist and the sacrament of reconciliation,” Rae-Kelly said. “After the abuse scandal, they were weakened and we were weakened as a result.”

She organized what has since come to be an international phenomenon called the Lay Fast for Priests.

“For some time, I had felt called to pray for the priests in America and all over the world,” Rae-Kelly said.

This year, the Lay Fast for Priests will be held on Oct. 24. The fast is to be observed until 3 p.m. that day, the hour when Christ died on the cross. Participants refrain not only from food but from anything else that is “significant” to them. For example, Rae-Kelly has known of people fasting from talking, television, or other aspects of everyday life.

At 3 p.m., the fast is broken with prayer. Past fasters have prayed in their own homes or held services in their parishes.

Some people who have expressed interest in fasting have told her they will pray a Divine Mercy Office in honor of priests. At the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette in Attleboro, there will be a 3 p.m. closing service that will include the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, an international rosary in five languages representing the different continents in the world, and benediction.

“Then we go home and have something to eat,” she said.

International unity, for Rae-Kelly, illustrates the fast’s impact.

“All the people of God -- the Body of Christ -- are all fasting at the same time and praying for the same intention,” Rae-Kelly said. “That’s what gives it such power.”

When Rae-Kelly introduced this concept four years ago, she encountered her share of cynics who said it would not work; nonetheless the idea gained credence.

After obtaining permission from Bishop George Coleman, bishop of her home diocese of Fall River, she announced the fast at the La Salette shrine.

“I did a two-minute talk,” she recalled. “201 people signed up.”

At the closing service that year, she remembers a man arriving in his bare feet. The man had walked the nearly 8-mile trek from Pawtucket, R.I. as a sacrifice for priests.

“It was just moving and inspiring,” Rae-Kelly said.

Since that time, people have taken Rae-Kelly’s idea and brought it to their own parishes. It has won the blessing and approval of many, including Cardinal Seán P. O’Malley.

It has also gone global.

Last year, Rae-Kelly said, a lady arrived at the shrine dressed in traditional Korean clothing and is now organizing a fast in her native land. Last week, Rae-Kelly received an email from a woman in South Africa who translated the sign-up sheets into Zulu to bring the fast to her village.

Over the coming weeks, laity will be speaking at their parishes to promote the fast and enroll the parishioners. However, Rae-Kelly said, Catholics should not expect to hear about this from their parish priests.

“It shouldn’t be a priest who promotes the fast,” Rae-Kelly said. “This is our gift to them. If they promote the fast it’s like me asking a friend to take me out to dinner.”

To President Barak and Michelle Obama.

To President Barak and Michelle Obama.

50+ years of coverup of the sexual abuse of children by Catholic clergy across the globe. 7 years since the global acknowledgement of a coverup in a number of countries. In those 7 years the problem has been found to extend to every country on the planet where the church exists. The numbers of abused is estimated to be in the millions.

What happens to a country and a world which has been deceived for more than 50 years by those who supposedly lead the way. The country suffers from the problems which come from and continue to come from the activities undertaken during those past 50 years by the church in its covering up of the abuses.

The response of our government appears to have been to increase its involvements and workings with this socially dysfunctional church and appears to wish to continue in that way without seeking from the church a definitive point in time for the church to respond in an appropriate manner or to give the people of Australia their democratic right to sayif they wish to continue to trade with a broken Catholic church.

Without proper intervention each American becomes disadvantaged as there is no policy set down as to how our country should deal with the fact that the Church is unable to provide a policy itself while we all understand that is the most basic of things we need from this church so that every American child will not have to find a path through the hypocritical life we provide to them whilst this matter remains unaddressed in our society.

When both Church and State fail us on this scale it is the children who suffer first and suffer the most.

The Church and the Government must take positive and appropriate action. Itis both inappropriate and dysfunctional for Governments right across the world to continue to trade with this church until we have a clear understanding of how both your Government and the Catholic Church make it clear to us all just how they are going to resolve the matter of the sexual abuse of our children by so many priests of the worlds' leading Christian Church.

We obviously see both Church and State repeatedly fail to act in the light of this understanding and in the knowledge of the harm this causes our world and the lives of each of us living it.

Set aside September 1st 2009 as the last day we get to hear any leader inthe world utter the words "This is a matter for the Church" when he speaks of the children sexually abused by clergy.

Set aside September 1st 2009 as the day your Government and the Catholic Church provide us all with a clear and appropriate set of policies making it clear to us how we can live our lives without these aberrant behaviours from both Church and Government.

Barak, as the President of The United States we simply take your support for granted.

Confused children

Is it any wonder our children are confused?

No wonder our children are confused - if we continually send confusing messages to our children then it is us who is acting irrationally when we demand the right to sanction them for acting in the same way we do, or in the same way our Government services do.

No amount of resources, education, laws, treatments or levels of incarceration and sanctions can educate a child to function both successfully and rationally in a society when the very society which is demanding that is unable itself to function at the levels demanded. There is no rational response to such an irrational situation.

Is it any wonder so many are confused?

Government and our religions are unable to provide and implement successful strategies in regards sexual abuses by clergy and other in the community.

Government and our religions repeatedly and stubbornly refuse to consult with the victims of these abuses by clergy and others in the community and their carers and advocates.

Is it any wonder so many are abused and re-abused?

How can they expect our children to act in a more adult and responsible manner, a manner which is above the examples set by our Governments and religious.

How irrational and foolish are we when we use sanctions against those who are unable to perform on demand at a higher level than those applying the sanctions.

Is it any wonder our children think we are foolhardy and stupid?

Of course we can always sanction our children severely for saying that we got it wrong. We can also sanction them for getting it wrong themselves in a confused world. Their need to survive and remain accepted as children will simply cause them to cede to those sanctions. This simply shows that if you beat a child hard enough and demand that he agree with you they must if they simply want to be loved by their parents and elders. If they want to ever experience the love of those who sanction they simply have no choice but to cede and conform to the power held over them - this use of power proves nothing other than acknowledging the fact that you can force someone into submission. It in no way proves your are on the right track.

Quite simply if these men genuinely had the ear of God as they say, it simply would not have taken 500 years as in the case of Mr Galilei and the shape of the earth, nor would it take very long to resolve the sexual abuse issue if they simply had 10 seconds with God.

It is clear that they simply do not have that line to Jesus Christ because quite simply if they did they would act differently.

There is no excuse for sexual abuse according to our law and government except when the abuse has been carried out by Catholic clergy.

Keeping in touch with my 22nd Century child.

A communication from my child in the 22nd century.

The 22nd Century child -

A universal Traveler with the benefit of the accumulated knowledge of the past 100 and the next 100 years of life on the planet called Earth and it has been implemented and kept up-to-date.

A communication from my child in the 22nd century came about through writing the pieces following this communication. I felt that it has a touch of authenticity that goes along with it. The author is 100 years hence and is entirely free from the constraints of government,politics, finances and religion and simply lives in an environment in which recent studies have shown that considerably more than 80% of relationships work successfully. The child of the 22nd century is communicating back in time only a hundred years - a hundred years where technology has recorded in infinite details the facts as they are.

Technology has developed software to determine the veracity and the truth of an experience based on the recorded facts. It is simply based on an algorithm which came out of todays open source community.

Hi Mum and Dad,

SorryI did not remember to Comm these thoughts to you, I got so involved in learning and discussing something new that the time simply slipped by me or I was asleep because we all stayed up too late talking and sampling foods from more places in the Universe than I can imagine exist and about some of these new understandings coming from our understandings we made of our own planet. It is good that you understand that we get focused and simply lose track of the time and the things that need to be done. That reminds me did you remember to feed those fish? The ones that they regenerated from millions of year old fossils - they're weird - really weird. I guess dad would have to give you some money for the food for them as I simply spent all mine.Tell him it would be great if he looks after them till I get back in a year or two - thanks Dad - heaps.

We went through a part of the Histrom today - it was straight up rad in so many ways - some of the kids said their parents Histroms were terribly embarrassing because of the ignorance at the time. Bobs family paid a fortune to have even ancient stuff like email whatever that is and things called chat and stuff like that put into the Histrom. WOW was that ever primitive stuff- like you said it seems difficult to imagine a society which was so bent on physically, emotionally, psychologically and sexually abusing the childhood population and it helped me to understand how on those times when we get traumatised by an experience how our body sets off all those survival mechanisms and we now know the ways to manage that when it does happen.

I didnt know that there was a time even before you were born when they first began to set things right - its neat to know they did it for the right reasons kids are still the reason every creature in the universe lives for. It took some very dedicated people with real courage to get things happening again when it kept falling of the rails in the beginning. There was a terrible lot of fear over who believed in God the right way and they fought all out wars over it, as I said it must have been the most terrifying time for kids to grow up in and hey you know its really weird they even publicised on a little picture box how many of the "enemy" they killed and they trained so many of their own kids just to kill their enemies.Kenny reckons they all had heads filled with thermorock. It caused wars about all sorts of weird things and ideas but the horrors they were committing in trying to fix the problems were making them all very sick and more and more angry and defensive. You would think they could see that they were making much of the problem for themselves.

MumI was so upset at times that I knew I would need some time to Comm with you about it because some of it was the stuff they said was much of the cause of it - I wasn't really prepared for that part and i was lucky that the Histrom sensed that and shut it off, my Medbot switched in and hypnotically calmed me and Netted for a Trauma Care team. I'm lucky it was not in the old days when they would treat that as a psychiatric problem and drug you up and lock you up and treat you horribly - no wonder so many people went mad and they had so many problems they felt overwhelmed by it all.

The issue of resolving what they called for a long time the clergy abuse crisis, they thought it only existed in their own countries to such a degree. When they realised the global extent of the clergy abuse issue and just how critical it was to their society that should be able to have a society where children are not only safe and protected in words - W O W WW they made so many words about doing it that they fought one another over it again. Weird,really weird times. It was critical in turning things around. When society became so angry at politicians for their failure to act because of their own fears and blindness and when it was realised that it was mostly coming from the fears of the Catholic Church at the time - it had been an integral part of their society for hundreds of years and so many thought that was the way it was supposed to be. The Church wanted it to be different, the governments wanted it to be different - it seemed like everybody wanted it to be different and no-one knew whereto get started because they spent so many years arguing and fighting over who believed in the God the right way or said the right prayers or said a word even was enough to send some of them off into paroxysms of verbalisings about damnation and stuff all of which of course as we know has nothing to do with the way we view God these days.

That Jesus Christ dude had a lot of it right you know, so did Mohammad and there were others but it always seemed to go wrong when men built churches and priesthoods and set themselves up in positions of power and had the commandment of God to bend and manipulate governments and to control the masses of people who simply got into a cycle of wanting better, being angry because it is not and becoming so violent and reactive against all the crimes that were being committed against people and they very often did not understand why - crazy crazy place it must have been - people believing implicitly that they had it right and when they inevitably didn't get it right they adjusted the religion to suit or cover it up - it took a thousand or more years before the full extent of some of the things they got wrong was shown in the fact that for all the thousand or more years of learning and education they simply had not found a means to reduce the numbers of sexually abusive priests below that of the general population - in effect totally in-effective. That should have been a real red flag but it went almost un-noticed.

There were other terrible things that occurred, some were documented very well, however the leaders simply didn't acknowledge that their whole nation had been traumatised by an attack right down to the president himself. It went really bad for a long time and no one will ever know just how many human beings were killed because of the reaction. They didn't recognise it as a part of a cycle of war traumatising whole nations and subsequently whole nations going to war over it or something else - in the heat of the moment and with the need of the Church to remain innocent in the face of the facts the whole population of the planet was expected to believe that and many did. I mean can you believe that today - at least they would not send you to a shrink for brain chemical drugging because of that strange old idea that trauma causes illness of the brain - they hadn't cottoned onto the idea that it was psychological damage that was done and yes the body did get a lot of sickness from it as well, they never related the fact that this had been a practice that had gone on so long and it had worried the Church so much that over time it had become obsessed with all things sexual and with procreation - strewth they would let that happen today and I really am pleased that having a child is an entirely mutual decision, it didnt take a lot of science in the finish to do it - they worked off an idea that some chemicals could turn off the potency of sperm from the male and do the same with a female; when people had the real freedom of choice without the religious influence of a group of out of touch men who had never pro-created or had a close and legitimate relationship with a member of the opposite sex so many chose it when it was shown to have so few managable side effects that it was almost negligible. They said it would never have been developed if the Church had continued with its denial. The Church was so powerful and influential that it kept science way back in society. It controlled most of that through keeping psychology and the facts it produced out of the picture and kept up a series of campaigns to set the agenda for the whole society and they used the fear and the power of God to get there - WOW - and they were so impossibly unable to accept that they were acting like enraged infertile anti-social inwardly looking men who had virtually unlimited power. There were amongst the largest commercial enterprises known at the time and got their way because of the influence of God (dear God how he must despise those men for what they did in your name). I am full of tears for all the children sexually raped and not even their Governments would come to their help.They were simply too afraid of the power these men without real experience of life to say no to them and so the world had to live in a strange violent, irrational, sexually abusive place where children everywhere were having their world torn apart and along with it went their hope of a life - not even a better life for some of them, they just wanted to live. They never did count how many human beings that caused the death of but eventually when the numbers got too high and the government realised that the people would soon turn against them if they did not act on the knowledge they had. It was lucky I think that they did otherwise they probably would have found another reason to go to war with one another over it and so it would have kept on.

I guess they did not think for a minute that these things might be associated - they simply seemed unable to understand that at the time.

Human survival depends on the need to make us blind to whatever it is that has panicked us to the point of traumatising us. I don't think evolution ever had to take into account the fact that our wars would be able to grow to such a scale that the entire population was in some sort of trauma or another at so many times.

It simply wasn't understood that they simply needed to see the reality of it all to be able to manage it - duh - they used to call that denial and even though they knew that it was their own denial that prevented them from stopping what they were doing they could not get themselves out of the cycle long enough to actually bring it to a stop. I mean can you believe that - get a new planet or something - they say it was even more primitive than that earlier on but not much of the information is left about that and so much of it is unreliable. It was everywhere and it must have been the most horrible time in the whole universe for kids growing up in the middle of that - you simply did not know who was going to be the next one to abuse you at the least or to sexually abuse you at the worst - is it any wonder the kids of those days were stressed off their faces until they lost their cool and became angry and hurt people in ways they did, the adults did that too. They should have been living in caves instead of the grand cities they built and as for being good parents they simply had so much of that wrong and they blamed us kids for most of it - WoW do you want to tell me something that will bend my mind then tell me that again.

The ideas came partly from a game kids used to play in cyberspace - I think that is what we call "Us" or sometimes Comms. Anyway some Government funded a program which came out for a while as a game, they actually gave it away. I think it was to get real life data and experience, anyway they simply set a target to build a virtual environment where it mimicked human life in that it focused on society and relationships and the benefit of children and at the same time it measured how successfully a person was able to travel through the life and be successful. They learnt enough from it to be able to see where they themselves were playing a huge part in causing many of their society's ills and when you added to that a number of their Churches had the same or similar problems and that really was the straw that broke the back of a adromadry - its some kind of ship used to carry straw and they all apparently eventually break; I missed that part a bit and never did understand it, I mean why would you build something to break it? I guess when you look at the way it was all going just about anything would have been possible and seemingly logical to them. Hey! I wouldn't have had a chance to go on this holiday knowing I am safe. There is no-one here who is hung up about what their parents were afraid of or what some men said was the word and the power of God.

That made some fortunes for a while, I think they said it cost tens of billions of their money and only made more people angry and sad. They were very evidently doing one thing and saying another and nobody wanted to say "hey excuse me like they do if that ever happens here",at least they quickly realise that they had hurt someone. They used to pull the bodies apart with rack things and burn them tied up and they would hold endless courts over whether some atomic level event had been the cause of all the tragedy and they would unknowingly inflict so much harm in order to prove themselves right. Hey, I'm glad to know you wouldn't let me go to a place like that. I know when I feel like that that you have not only said you loved me but you actually found your way over your own hurdles to make sure the way was safe for me -knowing that I never have a need to ask you or to hear you say you love me - I simply know it, just like all the rest of us here. Gotta go, hey I still haven't found one of those old fashioned parents or the good catholics your grandpa used to warn you about. I'll keep my eyes out as I am sure that with all the factual knowledge and the support you guys give us we will be able to spot on of those miles away and give them a wide berth.

They could have done it a hundred different ways but that was the way it was.

Australia - A better way

The Editor,

I was prompted to consider putting together a time line of my interactions with the Toowoomba Chronicle, however I felt they were things which simply do not leave ones mind, they are there for recall if we choose to do that.

I was reminded of the anger I expressed to the woman I was speaking to on the phone. I would like to apologise for that by saying that the expression of my anger and the manner in which I did that was entirely inappropriate and I wish to unreservedly apologise for my outrageous behaviour.

I am still at odds as to the cause of my anger and have yet to find a single person with whom I have communicated with who has been able to make reason as to why my advertisement was not able to be published simply because of the use of several specific words ="abuse", "sexual" and "clergy" or any suggested combination of these words. Thank you also for your more recent refund of my payment, long overdue, nevertheless it was greatly appreciated as my own dealings with those words have as you may understand borne an unacceptably high cost to myself and my family. No matter that human rights abuses simply oose throughout my life and the life of my family and unfortunately this even after 51 years has an unacceptably high impact on my child and directly affects his day to day life. These are not matters of concern to the many Catholics I have engaged in conversation with as they rely entirely as their faith instructs them on their Bishops to show them direction.

The fact that the Bishops as men of God simply do not have a direct line of communication with God is evident by several of the errors of judgment made by the Catholic Church through its Bishops. This is evidenced by the words of the leader of the Catholic Church, His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI on his recent visit to Australia. His acknowledgment of the clergy abuse problem and of the inability of his Bishops to manage it in a socially acceptable and humane way is simply the most current and the most authoritative witness to these facts. The lack of communication with God is also evident in the fact that the Church took more than 500 years to acknowledge that the earth was round as in the case of Mr. Galileo Galilei (1564 - 1642). Quite simply if they did hear a word from God they would as the Pope understands it have acted differently. That they have not in the past acknowledged an error of judgment and that they continue to fail to acknowledge a similar error of judgment despite an almost avalanche of evidence and fact being presented to them on a regular basis indicates some form of denial or inability on the part of those in positions of management and control.

The difficulty the Church found in admitting it had the shape of the earth wrong appears to be displayed once again in regards the issue of clergy abuse and how the Church can rid itself of this problem and of how it should treat those who have been harmed by it is evidenced by the current manner in which the Church is attempting to deal with the clergy abuse issue.

My own case is simply one of many which have been delayed for 5, 10 or more years and even then we are faced with a barrage of the most silent of Bishops and priests and the most heavily financed legal protagonists available, this of course does not make it correct, it simply acknowledges the fact that if you have sufficient money, power and influence, just as in the case of Mr.Galilei you are able to deny the facts for a prolonged period of time. This, just as in the case of Mr. Galilei so often comes down to similar understandings or the inability to accept the truth of a statement. In my own instance this has come down to the description based on unsubstantiated statements of which the Church is not willing to provide copies of in regards the ability of a child to live in or at more than one place at the one moment in time. The truth of my family circumstances and the truth of the circumstances of many is evidenced through the fact that many children today live both with their mother and father, their parents simply live at different locations. Due to the lack of understanding of the Church and the need of their legal representatives to earn an honest living, the Church's legal experts are not yet ready to accept that as fact. This appears to be the current issue which is set to further delay any progress on my own case and similar occurs for so many others for an unknown number of years; it is to be hoped that this does not extend to a similar time frame as in the case of Mr. Galilei.

It appears the Church through its legal representatives is still able and willing to use similar delaying tactics as it did in the case of Mr. Galilei. I simply do not have that long to live and will never, based on the progress of the current system will be able to progress my case to a conclusion as it seems that as soon as one of these absurd situations is cleared at great human and financial expense, another similar absurd question or situation arises - these very often simply defy logic, reason and Biblical laws and the teachings of Jesus Christ, however they can be argued for centuries as Mr. Galilei's case clearly shows.

I find it unfortunate that there is an unknown number of individuals who have simply resorted to suicide as a last resort in attempting to retain some form of truth or logic in the face of this and in a desperate attempt to maintain some means of finding even an odd form of sanity for themselves in the face of similar circumstances to Mr.Galilei through simply choosing to end their lives rather than continue in the face of what they see as some form of insanity or social dysfunctionality which is simply ignored by their society which through that ignorance withholds the natural support a human being expects to experience. I believe it is an incredible shame that it should be the case that someone is driven to even contemplate killing themselves due to this error of the way the Church deals with the clergy abuse issue and the blindness shown by society, let alone be permitted to carry that through by a whole society which appears to be frozen and shocked by the irrationality of it all.

I myself would like to know how many of the estimated 2000 other individuals (as well as the many thousands of other individuals who were sexually abused) who were sexually abuse by the same priest as I was have ended their pain in this way? In a way which has not provided a moment of peace or a glimpse of justice or healing for any of those poor souls so wrongly lost. The Church simply will not release this type of information, it seems because it may identify more instances of sexual abuse - this is simply not the way God would work, yet it, and it seems our whole society remains silent while more and more of those fellow 2000 eventually choose to end their life rather than accept as Mr Galilei was forced to believe, that the earth was other than round. That is quite simply more than enough to cause one to take their own life, more so when their entire society appears to not want to acknowledge what they see and understand themselves to be truth and fact. They appear not to be concerned by other facts emanating from such an absurdity, such things as the abuse of human rights as we know them today, truth, justice and the Aussie understanding of a fair go. None of those matters appears to be sufficient motivation to speak out and to support those affected by this foolishness and by the most horrific crime which can be perpetrated against another human being which leaves them alive, only to wish they were dead because of the abandonment by their fellow Australians and their country.

Many myths and places in our folklore have resulted because of these undemocratic ways and perhaps that may be the only place those 2000 others and their associates will ever be mentioned in the history of Australia. It is such a sad thing for an entire Nation to carry such a burden and does for those 2000 and their fellow 2.7 million other Australians who have been sexually abused seem to be the only place they will receive acknowledgment of the truth of their experience and the fact that they actually do form a part of the Australian culture.

Such distortions have existed for so long that even our legal system has had to distort itself to accommodate this untenable and irrational position. The application of Statute of Limitation Laws which simply defy natural, psychological and Gods laws are permitted to exist simply because of this one distortion.

The safety of children in every sense and in particular a sexual sense must be cast aside to accommodate this once again untenable position. The truth so many Catholics and those of other faiths seek is simply not available to them while such a state exists. Once again this is simply not the way God works. No amount of theological or legal argument can sustain a position so obviously at fault as the manner in which the Catholic Church currently manages the clergy sexual abuse issue.

Every Catholic whom I have communicated with simply expresses their horror and sometimes their outrage at such a preposterous state of affairs and it is those good Catholics who daily plead with Bishops to change their ways and they too simply remain unheard and unsupported due to the silence of Governments and our media.

Unlike other countries such as the USA, Canada, UK and Ireland which have instigated truth commissions and have forced the release of information so that justice and human rights can be observed, Australia and New Zealand appear to remain bound up in some form of denial of the facts and denial of the truth which the very existence of so many victims shows; victims who are fellow Catholics and fellow Australians.

Australia and New Zealand it seems are reluctant to follow the good example of these other countries for fear of bringing down the Catholic Church. Little do they realise that the Church in these countries is rebuilding and it is a much fairer and much more honest and caring Church which is emerging so strongly in those other countries; perhaps here too Australia is set to miss out. There are pockets of resistance, however these are simply being over-run and out-priced through the legal processes of these countries; countries which have acknowledged the facts and the truth and have shown themselves to be countries of character with respect for human rights; countries which have set about rectifying the problems with the understanding that there are no better educated minds in regards the prevention and survival of sexual abuse by clergy than those who have both prevented and survived sexual abuse by clergy and sexual abuse by others.

Australia it seems would rather put its head in the sand and simply not see the facts and the truth as has been found in those other countries, it seems that both Australia and New Zealand would prefer to follow the example of the Prime Minister and the Attorney General by leaving such matters in the hands of the Catholic Church, which in the words of Pope Benedict himself states that they simply do not not know how to manage appropriately and are seeking assistance in that regard. This type of abandonment is simply not in my understanding the Australian way and provides nothing of what I understand my fellow Australians fought and died for in so many wars.

Is there any wonder our youth are confused, is there any wonder so many of them are out of control. Is there any wonder so many are at risk on a daily basis? They need stability around them and it is simply not available under such circumstances. Perhaps we should have an apology day for our children, one where we simply say we got it wrong, this is not the Australian way, this not the way adults act, this is not the way human beings treat one another and at my last recollection this is simply not the way in which God expects us to act and we are on track in setting these errors right; simply because we cannot be truthful with our children and one another unless we do.

I personally would like to experience the Aussie fair go and I feel quite confident that those other 2.7 million Australians who have suffered sexual abuse would also appreciate similar. I also feel that all those parents who are afraid to let their children out of their sight for a moment would also appreciate some respite from such an abhorrent and absurd situation. They too must feel incredibly pained and wronged by the lack of the ability to be heard above the outrages expressed over things such as names as in the recent case of Mr. Hagan and his belief that once derogatory terms and names were, at the time of their use were also painful and harmful to many of those of his culture at those times and the lack of acknowledgement of that does cause pain to many of those who simply exist today despite the outrage expressed by those who simply choose to remain ignorant of those facts.

It would seem that it is acceptable and in the spirit of the Australian way as well as in the spirit of democracy, truth and justice as well as upholding the teachings of Christ that a perspective, however different than that proffered by a Church in some form of denial (as in the case of Mr Galilei and in the current case of the sexual abuse issue) should be able to obtain equal exposure in your newspaper.

I have endeavoured to write this in the required 250 words as you have stipulated, however I feel that after seeing recent examples whereby far longer pieces have been printed over far less important issues that this opinion should have an opportunity to be heard simply because it goes towards the protection and safety of our children, our relationships with our children and the safety and sanity of all of us who live in this society today.

Australia - a matter of time and justice

The Australian Department of Justice and a Fair Bloody Go,

re: Seeking relevance of and information re current legislation in your department as well as either an explanation, apology or the right to meet for a one on one publicly televised debate with The Prime Minister of Australia as to why specifically the sexually abused children of all or any religion in Australia should be discriminated against simply on the basis of their religion through his placing their fate in the hands of the Catholic Church as he did on 17 July 2008.

Although this the balance of this communication may at times appear humorous it is however a genuine inquiry in regards a very serious matter which affects the daily lives of many thousands of Australians.

A genuinely responsible and appropriate response is sought.

The actual response will be evaluated as a part of a social evaluation and as a litmus test in the areas of justice and society together with responsibility and caring. Other aspects taken into account will be empathy, stupidity, parental concern, denial, there is no excuse for sexual abuse, greed, outrage - a full list is hoped to be published at a future date as the data comes in.

I am seeking information in regards the ability to pass on to future generations any settlement obtainable from the Catholic church in regards my sexual abuse claim to my descendants and I was wanting to find out how to write this into my Will.

My claim is in regards being sexually abused by the possible world record holder for the number of children sexually abused by an individual priest and possibly a record holder in that area in the general population as well - that number being estimated at around 2,000 children. This man was also an apparent record holder in the area of generating money for the church and this may well have been one of the reasons why he was permitted to carry out these practices for so long despite the church having extensive knowledge of the abuses committed by him and so many others.

My claim has been in process for some 5 or 6 years only and with the understanding that it was general knowledge around 400BC that the Earth was round and that the Catholic Church resisted and denied this knowledge for some 1500 to 2000 years and that several hundreds of thousands of individuals were murdered and almost the entire planet was blackmailed and bullied into denying these facts through actions of the Church in upholding that invalid opinion and position; as well understanding that it took the Church some 500 years to acknowledge that they were upholding a delusional opinion in this regard when dealing with Galileo Galilei when he attempted to show to the church that the Earth was indeed a sphere, I felt it was necessary to give this my consideration.

I understand that Mr Galilei did not personally receive an apology as I have done, however he as I also find in my own circumstance the lack of acknowledgment of the Church's error in regards these general science facts and it occurred to me that due to the current processes of the church in regards my own claim it may well be possible for its investigations and eventual conclusion to take a longer period of time that in Mr Galilei's instance.

Currently my claim is pending another review based apparently on unsubstantiated statements forming a view that the word 'lived' can only apply to one location at a given time. With the church having to decide this current question and for it to then move on to the next I felt it would be reasonable to expect at the minimum a similar delay as in the case of the shape of the Earth in regards Mr Galilei's instance.

I felt it is more likely that this more complex question would naturally take some additional time for a conclusion to be reached in regards the ability to live at multiple locations during a given time period. I do understand that this is a more complex question than the shape of the Earth, however I felt that if it was to be considered reasonable that the Church processes can take 5 or 6 years to arrive at a point where it has only yet defined the question; it seems the Church appears to feel it needs to determine if this ability is indeed possible and with the knowledge that there are even more complex questions to follow once this general knowledge question is answered on the basis of reality. It would seem that a time frame of at least 1000 years may pass before a final decision is made in my own case.

Understanding that the average human has a life span of around 70 years or so I felt it appropriate to begin the task of determining which Government department would be able to answer my question in this regard so that I can pass on to my descendants what is rightfully theirs.

I do understand that some aspects of Government do consider the sexual abuse of children by clergy to be a matter to be resolved by the church itself, even if that opinion is held by the Prime Minister of the day I believe that time will return some sense to that foolish notion and it will be considered in time to be just like in Mr Galilei's instance an error of judgment and will be shown to be a crime of sexual abuse and not a religious matter and will subsequently permit the natural course of justice to prevail.

I do understand that the mere mention of sexual abuse, let alone the mention of clergy sexually abusing children does cause some adverse reactions and responses in those who have a limited understanding, distorted opinion or are subject to slips of the mind and even on occasion these can defy the laws of physics or nature when it is raised; this is even true in my own case where it has seemingly caused 2 of 3 policemen traveling in the same motor vehicle to have become involved in a miracle where at an intersection 2 went one way and the other went a different way. Even though this was not the only miracle performed on that day I did not want to get into thoughts or discussions as to whom was the driver at that time as I felt that would better serve humanity through becoming a useful topic for grade school students to ponder in their idle moments or at times of detention as a form of psychological punishment or torture or as another means of showing that the law is
always right no matter how wrong it is; it seems in this instance that the law may have taken its guidance from the Church rather than from common sense, the law or the oath they swore.

I do also understand that you may well have other pressing business to do and you may well wish to follow the example set by our Prime Minister and other politicians and religions through remaining tightly focused on the finances of the country in these troubling times, however when I considered this against the rights of the approximately 2.7 million fellow Australians who are directly affected by the sexual abuse issue and the thousands affected by the clergy sexual abuse issue I felt it was reasonable to make an appropriate judgment in favour of all those who have been abused, after all this is an issue worthy of a few minutes attention from our intrepid and all-knowledgeable leaders - don't get me wrong I do see all the good work they and others do - the Government and the Church have very very similar policies on this and on almost each occasion I write they respond in very similar ways by telling of all the good work that they do although there is never any direct response to the points raised. These foolish and retentive responses do not seem very knowledgeable or even vaguely co-ordinated but there must be many people beavering away to generate so much information about the disparate programs even though none of them appear to actually address the individual issues of clergy and sexual abuse, seemingly seeing the abuses perpetrated by clergy as one of religion. I have not yet found the legislation which sets that out even though it is essential knowledge if I am to properly pass what is rightfully theirs on to my descendants and would appreciate a reference to any legislation in place supporting this view.

It is good to see how united the church and government are on so many policies in regards this issue and the issue of sexual abuse as the numbers increase, their unified silence is bound to eventually achieve as little as is possible while keeping the good name of both Church and Government in place.

I did in my quest to obtain an earlier settlement at the outset make repeated requests to sit and discuss the matter from my perspective with initially the church and then with government. That has not been effective yet, even though I have spoken with many Bishops across the country and around the world, I have done the same with Attorney Generals and Premiers - many of them adhere very rigidly and in line with the church through not making any comment or by referring off to a different department or commission or pointing out some ineffective program or other. I did notice a difference however in the way they each managed their commissions with at most times the Government Commissions actually do investigate in most cases and some of them have found and detailed cases to such an appalling degree that they actually caused politicians to cry - even the Prime Minister says it is horrible, yet those communication avenues still remain elusive and are apparently far off somewhere in the distant future, perhaps around the same time as the uptake of the many recommendations are implemented. I am hopeful that this does not become a 'Galileo' issue for the Government as well as that simply would not be good enough for those Australians I know.

I did also want to find out for my descendants, my fellow victims and those other 2.7 million Australians who are affected, the families and loved ones of all of those people as well as the who knows how many other mums and dads who are absolutely terrified to let their kids out of sight and are left afraid and un-thought of on a daily basis as they take their children to school and wonder who next is going to try to sexually attack one of their children - not even that seems to be enough
to cause the Prime Minister or Premiers and Attorneys General to avert their gaze from wherever it is.

Now I know you are thinking to yourself: they are going to lock this bloke up, well I thought about that too and I figured John they have done that before when they took you to QLD Health where they drugged you with the most persistent and toxic brain and mind affecting poisons you had ever experienced and held you against your will for 3 months because you dared to speak out about it - I figured jail cant be all that bad after being treated in that way although I would prefer to be treated in the way Mr Galilei was treated. Then I thought about the possible 1999 other people who are sexually related to me through their having being abused by Kevin O'Donnell and I thought about the thousands of other people who had been sexually abused by clergy, and then I thought about all the people who have and are affected by sexual abuse and sexual assault and domestic violence and only a part of those were counted in that 2.7 million people affected as mentioned previously and I simply thought give me a break - thats not a fair go - thats crap and there is no sign of justice for any who get caught up in this while these circumstances remain.

I didn't mean to single anyone out because I know what it is like to be spat on by fellow catholics and Christians, I also know what it is like to be screamed at by would be protectors of the law standing for parliament and learned some interesting lessons from that, why should we have to put up with their blindness and issues when there is so much at
stake - our kids don't stand a chance if we cannot address this issue regardless of their individual personal agendas and issues.

It obvious that what has been done is much and it is very obvious on a daily basis that it simply is not working. There simply is no need to write a long list of the failures - we are all aware of them - 95+% the other day in the paper in regards successful legal actions for sexual abuse crimes - foolish things such as a 10 year old girl being asked to give the precise date of her abuse as was done recently in Toowoomba - reminded me of those times when the Church inquisitors wanted me to describe Kevin O'Donnell's penis as well as the date. I feel sure the little girl would have felt similar to those in the precincts of the Hiroshima bomb, I know I did and she like the millions of others of us take some time to come to terms with those events let alone what day it is or how to put that into day/month/year. I am unsure of when the basics of our calendar are taught to children or as to when the curriculum feels a child should be competent in the use of dates. The
more advanced concept of relating dates to events in one's life must surely come after that.

Government, church psychiatrists and others are yet to understand that when you mentally torture someone you don't cause disease, you actually cause psychological issues which amasingly psychology, good support and good counseling can over time repair the bulk of the damage caused - again here the church and state have and run similar policies and like psychiatrists they appear to see the conversation about the sexual abuse of children by clergy as something to treat you for rather than
attempting to gain an understanding of it. They may be like my own psychiatrist who seems to need to repeat the parts about he was sexually abused by a Catholic priest (decidedly odd behavior for a psychiatrist!). I would like to let them know that you simply cannot treat, let alone heal something you do not or are unwilling for whatever reason able to understand, repeating it does not help as I am sure many of them understand themselves. Such a pedagogy is and will remain a poison in every vein of our entire social system while these absurdities and foolishnesses remain.

I did run some of this past legal opinions and found their responses very disparate and they eventually became a matter of opinion, opinions which I could vigorously defend, however I figured I didn't have any money left after all the shenanigans that went on and as I no longer have a home or a business to worry myself about and I have pretty well always wanted to not get into a fight but wasn't able to find any form of mediation or non-adversarial means through which to get this much needed conversation underway. I checked on restorative justice but that is still just a concept it seems at this time and any changes that might bring about would be stymied through the joint policies of State and church and may take another thousand years for that to come through such a slow moving system.

I felt it should make a difference if those other 1999 sexual relations of mine happened to, without their ever being asked get baptised as a catholic and then have the bad luck to be raped or sodomised by one of those out of control sexually abusive priests and because of that be denied the opportunity to move forward as each and every Australian is supposed to have a right to. This is to say nothing of their human rights and the rights of our children which we hear so much about. I
personally found no logical or legal reason for these discriminating and despicable actions save for the much defended Statute of Limitations laws which are able to defy reason and nature as well as Gods words.

I did try to take it up with the Governor General, particularly after that brilliant piece on TV recently about justice and human rights - I felt inspired by that in lots of ways by the Governor Generals words, it just seems a pity that protocol stands in the way of her department from intervening. It seems much of our press appears to have adopted similar policies as well although they appear to acknowledge the issue they simply state that they are terrified of the prolonged lawsuits they
would face if they printed the truth.

I read the website of the Australian Catholic Justice Council and when I read it I thought they understand, they are talking about me and my 1999 sexual relations, it seemed that these issues were part of the reason for their formation so I emailed and rang them and I chatted with the Administrator but the answers were not there and questions just seemed to very early on become too difficult or too hard and the lack of understanding ability to find a way through the fog was apparent by his
responses. No matter how hard I look at their latest publication I can only see where the church is expressing its outrage on just about every other aspect of life, reproduction and more and it is all based on human rights, equality, justice and God's words but they have not yet made any comment about the clergy sexual abuse issue other than in regards the Anglican Communion - I hope its not another one of those Galileo things for them and for the rest of us who inhabit this planet.

Yes I thought of those and I even thought about being guilty - I figured that at least when the system finds me guilty of something it surely could not be for is telling the truth about my experience - I figured that is a sound reason and it is also a good reason no matter how long it takes the legal and court systems. Perhaps Mr Galilei's counsel if he were alive today could offer some insights into how to progress matters a little more rapidly and realistically as this could be of assistance in my own and in many other outstanding cases.

If I don't get an immediate response from you I will understand that you have either taken some time to consider this, hopefully in a shorter time frame than that faced by Mr Galilei or you may hopefully have passed it on to others who may have a greater understanding or a desire to help their fellow men and women in this regard as well as a show of support for those who have genuine concerns for these issues and for all the children alive at the present moment as I feel that extended time frames such as those previously mentioned would be unacceptable to all concerned. On Medicinal Marijuana

Past usage of marijuana: has not stood in the way of Barack Obama becoming president of USA - "and I inhaled; wasn't that the point", Bill Clinton (didn't inhale). A number of current prominent Labour and Liberal parliamentarians have admitted usage as have 40+% (some figures as high as 60%) of the population - are all these people still affected through their experience; if so should they be removed from social positions and be labelled as unstable?

on Statute of Limitations laws

We strive for order in our society and reap the benefits when we get it right. We hold Commissions and in-depth examinations, our law courts strive to get at the truth of matters when we get it wrong; that is how we improve our lot. Individual lives, households, governments and business in our country grow and improve themselves in this way on a daily basis - without this ability our society would indeed be in dire straits.

We all know and understand that trauma causes the body to repress aspects of a traumatic experience in order to facilitate our continuation or survival. This repression can last for an indefinite period of time. We understand these things as a fact of life, a part of our reality. We say this is Human Nature - simply the way it is. Many believe quite simply that this is the way God made us,others say that it is the way we evolved - either way it is a fact in our life, a fact of nature or it is a fact that God made us this way.

Many simply believe that it is un-natural to put a time limit on the ability of a human being in the light of this knowledge to recall and to clearly describe and understand how and why they were affected for so long as a result of a traumatic crime committed against them; others see it as a law which defies the will of God.

Laws such as Statute of Limitations laws can only stand in defiance of these known, recognised and accepted quite normal, God given and natural experiences of a human being; simply put, Statute of Limitations laws must defy Natural laws (the laws of Nature) and at the same time they must defy the teachings of God and the teachings of all our great religions.

To maintain such a state of affairs if we are to accept either or both of the laws spoken of here simply becomes an act which can only be seen as un-Godly and un-natural or more precisely in defiance of the facts of both of these laws.

When such a state of affairs exists in our daily lives it simply becomes ill-logical that we should maintain this un-natural and un-Godly state. We must recognise the need for change otherwise we risk doing a great deal of harm to our fellow man and displays to all our own individual shortcomings. Shortcomings which are enforced on to society despite reality and all harm that such denial brings with it.

Why therefore do laws such as the Statute of Limitations laws continue to exist when their very existence and implementation can be called in no other way than a major flaw in our legislation, un-natural and un-Godly.

On every occasion where the Statute of limitations laws come into operation they simply must impede or deny human dignity through denying this most natural of human rights.

We do have a right to a natural experience and it simply reaches beyond the realms of sensibility for a Government or any authority to enact and enforce laws which simply defy the natural way a human being is - whether that is from a design by God or whether that is the result of human evolution.

Quite simply laws which prohibit people from obtaining justice due to the demand that they act outside the realms and understandings of both God and nature have no place in a civilised and progressive society and governments which maintain this un-natural state will in the course of history leave a legacy which will describe the men and women who upheld these laws as being flawed in some way and they will write themselves a very sad place in our history; to such an extent that their own grand-children will cringe away from acknowledging their own ancestry - what child of the future will want to have it publicly known that their great-grandparent was one who used all that was at their disposal to maintain something that was in defiance of both the laws of nature and the laws of God.

To continue this practice of maintaining such laws is to continue in defiance of human nature and in defiance of God's will. These laws do quite simply deny human rights. Flawed law such as the Statute of Limitations when implemented can not and do not serve to uphold, protect or enable human rights (nature and Gods will), they can only serve to limit, regulate, diminish or deny human rights -this is quite naturally against our human rights, nature and Gods will.

What actions are you, your Party or Government undertaking to set this situation right by removing law which is obviously at odds with reality, nature, the human experience and Gods laws?

We would all agree it would be unsustainable and immoral and an attack on our very senses if we were to legislate in such a way that the crime of sexually abusing a child were to not be a crime on Saturday of next week. There would be outrage and rightly so as it would be against our common sense, nature, against the rules according to our God and against just about everything we stand for -it would be against our Human Rights and we would call it ridiculous and laugh at the stupidity of the concept and we would easily see that that type of legislation would actually act against the common good of a society -we would simply not do it else we would be seen to be stupid or to have an agenda.

How then is it that our law can under current legislation make the crime of sexual abuse committed last Saturday not a crime and therefore does not entitle those abused to justice;something we say is their human right. No argument about time,God,science, law, legislation or the common good of humanity or of society can be put against that unless there is another agenda.Whatever that other agenda may be it certainly cannot be for those things we stand for and it must therefore defy time, logic, rational thought, God,science, knowledge, experience, law, legislation, our perception of a fair go, justice, the common good of humanity and the common good of our society to continue to exist. As well these laws act as a legal roadblock directly in the path of the healing process those sexually abused who attempt to heal from their trauma, this applies also to many other crimes which cause trauma of the kind associated with sexual abuse.

Individuals whose right to justice is taken away due to the passing of a single moment in time by their Government who appears to say to them that this is for your own good - this is for the good of humanity and for the good of our society remain harmed and are further removed from the right to justice as well as the right to heal.

Government is not in the role or the habit of taking away human rights yet it is a fact that these laws exist and function in our society on a daily basis. The passing of a single moment in time does not have any direct affect on a survivor of sexual abuse except when through the passing of that moment in time their rights and the rights of almost 2.7 million Australians to justice and their right to healing is removed with the stroke of a pen and a moment in time to fulfill someone elses' agenda for quite simply it would never be an agenda for those harmed in this way - how abhorrent must this become before good and honourable men bring about a just and honourable fix to this problem?
